So.. I honestly feel like the business would care less if we were returning customers. It was just bad vibes as soon as we entered the establishment. Walked in and was not greeted. There was no one in the front/register but there was a man right behind the front counter. All the while we stood there, and he emptied two huge cans of pork beans into a bin, he never once acknowledged us. I seriously wanted to leave right then but my husband really wanted to try the place since he is an avid smoker. Not sure how long we actually stood there but a lady on the phone finally came around the corner and said hello to us. She was nice. Took our order and we sat. Spent between $50-60 and requested a receipt but was not given an itemized receipt. We ordered two combo plates (ribs, 1/4 chicken, smoked sausage, 2 sides) as well as the 6 piece smoked wings and a pint of the brunswick stew. We waited probably 10 minutes for our order to arrive. The man that was ignoring us earlier actually brought it to our table and we thanked him. Realizing we didn't have the brunswick stew my husband went to the front to let them know. The lady told us that they were still getting it and the man actually asked, "What?" in a pretty aggressive manner as if we were a bother. We wouldn't have asked if we were told that it was still coming.. The stew was actually pretty good. Better than a lot I've had before. Could use some more acid but that's not something a little hot sauce can't fix. Wish I would've received a spoon and some crackers I heard offered to another lady who ordered the same thing. The combo plate was a little underwhelming. Ribs were the end pieces of the rack being smaller than what would be typically served. The 1/4 chicken was two pieces of wings which I would not consider to be 1/4 of a chicken. Then we order a 6 piece wings as well not realizing we were already going to get wings.. In the pictures posted other customers actually received 1/4 chicken and actual full size ribs. The smoked sausage was generic smoked sausage off the grocery shelf as well as the texas toast. Sausage was chopped up so together it made up about a quarter link.. For $16.99 I feel we were jipped because we don't look like typical BBQ eaters we were pretty much given whatever could pass. Feeling a little offended. LOL Mac and cheese was actually decent. Potato salad was probably the only side completely homemade and was good. Eggs, mustard, pickles. My husband got the onion rings and fried corn in the cob. Looked really cool but that's pretty much it. Bbq sauce is baby rays.. I wanted to try a dessert but feeling very unwelcomed decided against it. After finishing up we got our things and left. My husband even said thank you to the lady up front as we walked out but of course she didn't hear us. With poboys just down the street with very good BBQ and even better service I'd suggest, do better.

Ribs, sausage and smoked chicken. Turnip greens and fried corn on the cob.

Always delicious!! I love their smoked chicken, it's a favorite of mine! Great food and great service!

Very poor BBQ. The staff acts like they don't care about you. The prices have changed since they opened.

Prices are too and the quality of their food has gone down. Plus they charge you to use your credit card.

BBQ was awesome, as was the mac and cheese, stew. The cobbler...well you won't believe me until you try it, it's the best I've ever had.

I have eaten at Savvy's since the 2nd day they were open. I eat lunch there at least once a week…read more Breakfast too. I simply love their food and they deliver, which unless you want a crappy pizza, is unheard of in Statham, GA. Today I placed an online order for breakfast. The same breakfast I've ordered dozens of times. When I got home, I found the order was wrong. I immediately walked back and asked for it to be fixed. To my surprise the employee behind the counter told me I was wrong. She said, I got what I ordered. I said I've ordered this many times, it comes with egg and cheese. Then she said she'd fix it. I spent years in the restaurant business. When an order is incorrect, you remake it. Period. Instead they added the missing elements and gave the order back. I didn't know this til I got home. The bacon and bagel were cold and congealed. I walked back. Things really fell apart when I returned. I asked for it to be re-cooked. I asked for my money back. I asked the young lady to look online at what the sandwich was supposed to have. All I got was attitude and arguments. I admit, I got pretty upset. She kept saying she didn't like like my tone. I kept saying, 'then treat me like a valued customer.' I left the store without my money or my food. An hour later, a policeman shows up at my door. Are you kidding me? He was very understanding and said I was welcome back in the store and that the owner wanted things to remain civil. I wish the owner had been there at the time. I fully admit I could have handled the second visit better, but there's a way you handle customers and not a single employee in the restaurant knew how to do that. I'm not sure I will return to Savvy's. I simply don't want to engage with those two employees again, especially since they clearly don't know the menu or the online system. It's sad really. 4$ worth of food re-cooked would have sent me happily on my way. I'm sure those two girls are calling me a Karen right now. I'm willing to wear that badge proudly in the name of good customer service. Let me remind you again, I left without my money or my food. My money was refunded later that day.

The wait time is a bit long owing to a lack of staff in the kitchen. The best item on their entire menu is their Reuben sandwich. It is outstandingly delicious and well made. The remaining items seem rather pedestrian.

My husband has been wanting to try this spot that opened near by us. It's been a few months since…read morethey've been open and we've heard good things about the franchise. Though hearing good things is pretty much all the good we got from this place. We ordered online for pick up. Spent over $80 for some pretty mediocre and dry food.. nothing really seem fresh but the fried rice which was reallyyy lacking. Chicken tenders and wings seem like they were cooked ahead and sauced upon ordering. Philly actually had a good amount of protein, but seem like it was preheated and again, so dry. We gave the meat to our dog because I hate wasting food. Even though I hate wasting food, we did end up throwing away the chicken sandwiches because no one wanted to finish them and my dog is actually allergic to poultry. LOL. Not to forget to mention that we ordered their "wet" lemon pepper and they were definitely not wet. We've actually had some really good wet lemon pepper before so I'm not sure what their take on it was supposed to be. "WeT bUt NoT rEaLlY.." ? Also when we picked up our order the vibe we got was not very welcoming. It wasn't busy since it was a weekday and in between lunch and dinner. The staff made it obvious they did not want to be there and it definitely showed in their food. Hate that we wasted time and money on pretty but not good food. Would have been a lot happier with Zaxbys..

The food was awesome...we got wings(Thai Chilli, Jamaican Jerk and Ranch), Okra and Onion Rings!…read moreAll were delicious, fresh, hot and tasty!

Xdry "chicken sandwich on a Sunday". If you're going to leech off God's chicken you better have a good product. This ain't it.
