This our go to restaurant in Minden. We never had a bad meal here or a bad experience. That hot Turkey sandwich is the bomb. And my son almost eats the entire meat lovers pizza. My husband had the Italian sausage soup, which he has never had, and said he was always going to order it. Now the service...we have always had the best and nicest service at Cook'd. The last time we had Nicole, she is just friendly and helpful and a complete joy. I love the bar area, everyone is always having fun, whether it's a game on tv or winning at the gambling. We are always on the hunt for a good, juicy burger, and this is the place to go for a great burger! The menu is endless with options. It was hard to decide on which one to get. I'm a huge blue cheese fan so I went with the Tahoe burger and my boo loves burgers with an edge and the fried egg on the Hangover burger sounded enticing. This was a quick lunch stop on our way to Tahoe after meeting with friends in Gardnerville. We will definitely go back to explore more menu. We took a Sunday drive down to Carson City and went to lunch at Cook'd. We got there about 11 and had our choice of seats. We chose a table near the bar. Addie was our waitress and brought us water and decaf coffee. We had eaten here before and LOVED the decaf, so we asked Addie the brand Alpin Sierra, a local coffee roaster. I ordered the chicken and waffle. The bacon in the batter intrigued me. The flavors were good, the waffle was a bit crunchy for my taste. It made it hard to eat with the fried chicken breast. The chicken was seasoned well and both were served with syrup and melted butter. Hubby had the meat lovers pizza (7.95). What a great little local spot! Came here with a a group of friends and had a private room with excellent service. The atmosphere is very inviting and the menu if diverse and affordable. Overall this place is good for drinks but I am typically not thrilled with their dinners. Tonight I ordered the apple grape salad with a piece of salmon. I did order to go. When I got home, I opened up a kind of sad salad with one grape cut in half after digging through the lettuce. Bacon tastes like bacon bits out of a bag. A couple wilted red apple slices were on top. Salmon is extremely dry. It used to be really good from here. We ordered a burger and tots but received fries. Just kind of disappointing for the price point. A friend and I had dinner on Monday, December 8th and were warmly greeted when we entered. We were immediately seated and offered menu. shortly after, the waitress took our drink orders and then gave ys a few minutes to decide. My friend had the tater tot appetizer which she loved. The tots were crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. We both ordered pizzas and the Margarita pizza, which I had was delicious. Perfect amount of sauce and cheese. My friend was very happy with her pizza as well. We also ordered side salads which were perfectly dressed with a great vinaigrette. The chocolate lasagna is really very good. Evident of bad or no management. We usually like Cook'd for the food and have had an extended wait in the past due to capacity. We (5) went Sat. 11/15 for my Birthday dinner around 7pm. They weren't busy(easy parking) so we got seated rather quickly with no reservations. Despite the low patronage. We were 1 of 3 tables with people in the dining area. 1 with 2 women and another 1 with a larger party (8+3kids) at the table adjacent to us who were there before us. The service was very slow. We waited for 15 min. just for water. Then the cocktails took another 20. Ordered food which took another 45 min. The large party had complained before and then again. They ended up walking out when our food finally got served. Their table was being cleaned up and we asked what will be done with the food they ordered. The return comment was "hopefully someone else will order it or they may get to eat it" I know in addition to our section that there is a bar section with tables however, it will be a long while before we go back if ever. I'm sure the other party that walked out will not. To finish off the Birthday dinner(not so happy) I was charged $14.50 for the birthday cake dessert the server brought out. read more

We have been excited to visit Cook'd. We went the passed Sunday and the place has great potential. The ambiance is very cool and casual. The food was ok. I had the Alferdo Burger that sound very interesting. It did not have enough sauce on it, the mushrooms were rubbery, and the burger was dry. I anticipate the dry burger as it was grass feed beef. The worst part of our visit was the service. I believe the young lady that helped was new. I am ok with new but she had not been trained either. Every thing we asked for we either did not come or it took her 15 minutes to bring it out. I believe she was new as she stay at the key station most of the time trying to ring in orders. One last point, we order buffalo wings, they came out with no dipping sauce so, we asked for some blue cheese. She charged us for the blue cheese. My friends and I stopped here on our way back to Tahoe for dinner. The service was nice however three out of six of my friends got food poisoning within hours of eating here. We hadn't eaten anything since the morning and this was our first meal at around 7pm so the effects were definitely from the food here. We had the flank steak, salmon, and bbq chicken pizza. I felt horrible for the whole next day with stomach pain and constant trips to the restroom after eating here. I've written a couple of reviews. I guess the owner doesn't care about Yelp Reviews to change anything. My "All Meat" pizza with olives and mushrooms hasn't changed. Very little meat, you need a magnifying glass to find the ham, very few olives and zero mushrooms! My husband and I thought we would give it another try, but after this last visit, we're done! Food is not good. Honestly I would never eat dinner there again. Their salads are OK but the last time I got the tri-tip, it was all fat. I had to send it back and they apologize saying that they got new tri-tips and didn't realize there was so much fat and gristle on it. Well seriously if you're cutting up meat and you're just throwing chunks of fat on somebody's salad I think you know what you're doing. So not a fan. Their barbecue chicken pizza is made with Dino nuggets chicken nuggets. If you know what those are. So that is disgusting as well. They don't use real chicken breast.
