    Beef kabob dish
    Bridget G.

I met a girlfriend here for mimosa brunch. She remembered seeing a large banner outside advertising bottomless mimosas, and the menu looked good. The restaurant is also off the new D line Metro station, which we wanted to check out! Service was great, and the servers (owners? There were 2 people working and taking care of us, so we weren't sure.) who took our order were very attentive, friendly and hospitable. When we asked about bottomless mimosas, the woman at the counter told us that they stopped offering them now that they're closed on Sundays, and all of the food isn't prepped as it normally would have been for the weekend. That didn't make sense to us since we were just ordering orange juice and bubbly, but we went ahead purchased individual mimosas. The drinks were almost entirely orange juice and not much champagne. I ordered the beef kabob plate, which came with a side of cucumber/tomato salad and basmati rice. It was okay for $20; it included 5 pieces of steak that were a little gristly. I was surprised that it didn't include tzatziki or any other sides (pita, etc) but the server was kind enough to give me a small hummus side. One of the servers checked on us and brought more water, and he also offered to refill our coffees if we wanted. When my friend went inside to ask for more coffee, the other woman told her that a refill would be charged as a new cup of coffee. We declined, but it was confusing because we thought we were offered refills. Overall, it was OK. I linked the laid-back vibe of the restaurant, 2 outdoor patios, and that there was a free parking lot! I think it would really help to have some music on the patio!

Located in a mini mall at the end of Beverly Hills. This place is very homey and unpretencious. Parking is free. They have pastas, burgers, salads, wraps, and breakfast all day. Lots of vegetarian options. I really like the laid back atmosphere here. Seems there is a good mix between dine in and take out. I did take out. They also have a very small outside patio but inside is best here in my opinion. I tried the smoothie which has pomegranates, bananas, and berries. It was a beautiful color pink and so tasty. The perfect ratio of sweet and savory. The portion was generous too. The tofu rice bowl was good I chose basmati rice. They forgot to give me the sauce on my to-go order so I ended up putting some tahini on it that I had at home which worked well. Hopefully next time I'll get the sauce as that is important part of the dish. We also got the vegetarian option for the pesto pasta. I liked that it came with bowties and the pesto sauce smelled and tasted so good. We loved the chocolate cake here. It has Oreos sprinkled on top and lots of frosting. Portion was generous. Huge fan of this cake.

I work up the street and always walk by this place and yesterday decided to stop by for lunch with a couple of my coworkers. All three of us had burgers so this review is really based off of that. The burgers were pretty good, especially for the price point. They are pretty large come with a side of your choice (we all chose a side of fries which were seasoned and delicious). The burger was cooked medium, and it was a very large portion where it filled you up. The staff which I believe might be, the owners were super sweet and welcoming, and we're also making recommendations as far as what they're popular items on the menu are. They do have a wide variety of different types of food, such as salad, salads, wraps, kebab and salmon plates and bowls and several desserts and smoothies. My coworker also got a peanut butter jelly vegan smoothie which she loved. The restaurant itself is cozy and spacious, and has a homey feel to it. I will definitely be coming back here for lunch to try their other items.

DELICIOUS! Is all I can say about this plate of food I got. I was working outside of the restaurant and had a little time to grub so I decided to come here instead of a fast food place and I wasn't disappointed at all. The customer service was great and made you feel very welcomed! The whole layout of the place had a nice ambiance to it I was bummed I couldn't stay long enough to eat inside but I'll definitely be back! Definitely recommend the chicken kabob with a side of beef!

Lovely people, I believe they are the owners. Had a yummy fresh squeezed orange juice and my friend had the apple, orange carrot juice. Ordered a Turkey Burger, veggies on the burger were nice and fresh and fries were also good. For dessert we tried their Cheesecake and mini chocolate croissant, very good. And to go I ordered their chicken kabob plate for my bf. Smells good and looks very tasty. Will be back.

Found this gem on Yelp and so glad we did. Lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, casual environment. Great sized salads and protein portions, not one of those place you leave still hungry. Prices are UNBELIEVABLY good for LA, or anywhere for that matter. Food was tasty and fresh! We got the Asian Salad and Caesar Salad each with Salmon. Dressing wasn't over done and everything was awesome! The owner is extremely nice and welcoming! Check this place out!

We were walking to the Beverly Center from our hotel and decided to give this place a try. You place your order at the counter and it's brought out to you. I ordered a latte and a chicken Ceasar wrap. My hubby got the Eye Opener wth 3 eggs, bacon potatoes, toast, and fruit. They cooked his eggs perfectly. As he likes his eggs well done most places do not get it right but here was just right! My wrap was full of chicken and a nice side of salad. They have a bakery case full of all kinds of goodies. Service was expedient and friendly. They serve breakfast all day and the place is super clean. This was a great find!!

I would recommend asking your server to give you a run down of the fish market before making any decisions on the menu. Fish are sold by the pound and imported daily from all over the world. All fish are served deboned and they told us that the recommendation is about one pound per person. If I could do it over again, I would limit the sides because we loaded up on appetizers which filled us up. After a visit to the fish market, we ended up with the fagri and dover sole. The fagri is a great white fish and was cooked in a lemon butter sauce. The dover sole was lightly breaded and fried which made for a good balance between the two fish. As far as apps go, I would highly recommend the avra chips. I can see why these are a must order and you can easily down them. The tzatziki sauce is a must. The fish soup was great as well, the perfect warm up to the main event. I can definitely see myself coming here for more special occasions.

Even the simple Coke Zero felt crisp and refreshing alongside the food. The standout was the filet mignon, ordered medium rare with onion and garlic. It arrived tender and juicy, with a beautifully seared exterior and deep, savory flavor. Golden, crisp potato fries provided the perfect accompaniment, while the spinach and mushrooms brought earthy, buttery richness to the plate. The meal was satisfying without feeling overwhelming, leaving us comfortably full. Dessert continued the strong showing. A smooth, frothy cappuccino paired beautifully with the 16-layer chocolate cake, an intensely rich and indulgent dessert served with a cool scoop of ice cream. We also shared the coconut pie with lime sorbet, whose creamy texture and bright, tangy finish created a particularly memorable contrast. Every dish delivered, earning the meal an easy 10/10. The restaurant's atmosphere was just as distinctive. Its spacious white dining room felt elegant and open, while the glass-fronted kitchen offered a view of the action behind the scenes. One especially memorable touch came when we selected our fish: the staff brought it out for us to see before preparing it, adding a sense of theater and connection to the meal. We arrived earlier in the day, when the dining room was quiet and nearly empty, but as evening approached, the restaurant gradually filled and took on a livelier energy. With its polished service, excellent cooking, and engaging open-kitchen experience, this was a memorable dinner--and one we would gladly repeat.

What I saw was a large, airy, beautiful restaurant literally teeming with cheerful diners and activity. I knew I had to try it and did, this weekend. It was love! As I suspected, inside and out, it is spacious and fresh. There is a garden vibe about the place even though it is on a busy street in the heart of Beverly Hills. What I didn't anticipate was how friendly and lighthearted the atmosphere would be. And how chic. This is one place where everyone was a bit more dressed up -- albeit appropriately for Sunday lunch -- and that just warmed my heart. No sleeveless t-shirts, flip-flops, ripped shorts, or baseball caps here. The NYer in me took note: come here more often! I felt comfortably at home. The menu is literally staggering. We were given what seemed like pages of choices, and not just any ole stuff, either. Elegant, unique but classic fare and the most extensive dessert list I have seen in ages. How could they make each of these amazing descriptions be true to what arrived at the table? Master chef wizardry, I guess, but they did it. As you are likely tired of hearing me say by now, I am a lifelong vegetarian so the fact that I was in a quandry as to which delectable-sounding course to get should tell you something. And, if you are still a carnivore (why? I am puzzled), you will probably need 30 minutes to make your choices. But, I am confident whatever you choose will make you very happy, because every single one of our selections made us almost giddy. See my photos. Ben took care of us like we were family but in a totally professional way that should make Mr. Novikov extremely proud. We met each item that was brought to us on our immaculately adorned table with "Wow -wow!". Yup, it was that good. We parked in the public parking garage next door for a nominal amount -- love self-parking. And on weekends, you can park in any spot there, even those that say reserved (but double-check with the attendant to confirm that anyway). Upbeat EDM in the background, a continuous breeze coming off Canon that made it feel like we were outdoors, and enough eye candy to keep me intrigued throughout our meal (including a crazy purple Tesla Cybertruck parked across the street -- that was a first for me). Novikov, where have you been all my life?!

For the $100 price tag, I expected a bit more truffle, but hey it wasn't a dealbreaker. The oysters were delicious, and overall, our party really enjoyed the food. Dessert was also quite tasty. Our server, Ben, was warm, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. However, the service experience overall felt disjointed. There were plenty of staff members floating around, but it didn't feel as though anyone was truly attentive to the table. Water was rarely refilled unless I asked, and one plate we needed for lobster shells arrived well after it was useful--silently dropped off, then picked up by someone else just minutes later. Overall, the atmosphere and service had a somewhat clubby feel, more like a high-end tourist destination in Ibiza or Mykonos than a polished, truly upscale dining experience. One especially awkward detail- at the beginning of the meal they take photographs and later offer them for purchase at $25 a pop in shiny gold frames. It felt extremely odd and just so out of place. The idea could have been a sweet, memorable touch if handled differently-- perhaps as a cute and simple, unframed photograph rather than a $25 keepsake in a shiny frame. A genuinely high-end restaurant would never. All in all, it's a decent place and may be worth trying once, but don't go in expecting a flawlessly refined dining experience.

It's got cucumber & dill-infused gin as the base, which gave it this crisp, almost garden-like freshness, & the juiced ginger root added a nice little bite w/o being overpowering. The elderflower liqueur & combier brought in this subtle floral sweetness, while the lemon & apple cider shrub balanced it all out w/ just the right amount of tang, & the agave rounded out the sweetness perfectly. Every sip felt so well thought out, nothing overpowered anything else. Moroccan Cigars 8.76/10- this is basically like a spring roll stuffed w/ lamb & chicken, & it was so flavorful, you could really taste both meats coming through. The roasted nuts gave it good texture, & the garlic honey glaze had this great sweetness to it that played so well against the kick of heat in the sauce. The toum crema on the side was garlicky & creamy, & the pickled onion gave it the right amount of acidity to cut through the richness too. Lamb Hummus 15/10- this was absolutely incredible & definitely my favorite tapa at Bacari that I've tried so far. They put braised ground lamb, in a spiced Lebanese stew, right on top of the hummus, & it's served w/ the softest & fluffiest pita ever, plus crudités. There was a little bit of spice from the lamb which I loved, & it was very lamb forward, but that's exactly what I wanted from this dish. The ground lamb was so tender, & the hummus itself was so smooth & creamy underneath it all. They only give you 2 slices of pita though, so I'd def recommend ordering more, especially if you're w/ a good amount of people. Asian Pear & Brie Pizza 9.42/10- I loved the flavors of this, everything paired together so perfectly. The brie was so creamy & rich, & the guava fromage blanc added this subtle sweetness that balanced it out. The dough is also fantastic, thin & crispy in all the right places. The pear gave such a perfect crunch & hint of sweetness that worked so well against the saltiness of the grey salt & the cheese, & the wild arugula on top added a nice peppery freshness, w/ the frantoia olive oil tying it all together. Tripoline Pasta 8.36/10- their handmade pasta comes w/ a pasilla pepper cream & romesco sauce, & it had such a creamy, nutty texture w/ a slight spicy kick from the pasilla pepper. You could tell it was blended to perfection bc it coated every piece of pasta so well. The toasted almond on top added good crunch & the cilantro gave it a fresh finish, packed w/ so much flavor & the pasta itself had great texture, not mushy at all. Tuscan Kale Salad 8.78/10- this was so good & refreshing, especially w/ all the carbs we ordered. It's made w/ baby rainbow kale, Persian cucumber, & heirloom cherry tomato, & the kale tahini dressing was creamy & flavorful w/o weighing the salad down. The za'atar & sumac gave it such a nice earthy, tangy kick, & the crispy black kale on top added great texture while the crumbled feta brought in the perfect amount of saltiness. Mad Mango Sour 7.64/10- I honestly found this drink to not be sour enough & felt like it was missing more spice. It's made w/ hedonista's mezcal espadin & tequila, along w/ juiced carrot & mango, but I didn't taste much mango, more so carrot. I did enjoy the refreshing flavor from the carrot juice though, along w/ the firewater tincture & black peppercorn giving it a little bit of a kick. Instagram: @hungrytamale
