Came here on a Wednesday at 4PM with my boyfriend and we were served immediately - I didn't catch the store owner's name but he was super nice and gave us a rundown of the popular items on the menu and his recommendations. Since it was our first time, we ordered the #1 Weho sandwich and the #2 New York sandwich. The sandwiches were so good I forgot to take pictures! I would say that the Weho sandwich is really standard and (imo) just a little boring but still really good if you aren't feeling adventurous. The ingredients are all very fresh and the bread was perfectly toasted. The New York sandwich on the other hand was scrumptious!! My boyfriend and I both agreed that the New York was better than the Weho. Again, very crispy but not too hard bread, and the pastrami was so flavorful. Just the perfect amount of spice too. The owner was also so kind and gave us a free bag of chips and a drink! We'll be back again :)

Was really craving a sandwich when I was in the area and stumbled upon this spot. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches named after different parts of the world. I was trying to decide between the Paris, the Buffalo and the Tehran, which really peaked my interest because it included a Persian kotlet, which I love! But I opted for the Buffalo Chicken with ranch dressing instead of blue cheese. Sina, the owner was very sweet and helpful for me to figure out what to pick but in hindsight I should've opted for the Tehran or the Paris because the buffalo was a bit too spicy for me! I usually like a chipotle, mayo dressing, but this particular one took over the sandwich and I was not able to enjoy it fully. I really like their bread though. But Sina was very sweet. He actually came out to check in on me to see if i liked the sandwich and he was willing to substitute it, but I told him there was no need to. Very considerate of him. Overall, a good place to stop by if you're craving a quick sandwich where you have a huge selection of choices. Very friendly service too!

I stumbled upon this place while trying to find something quick to eat for lunch. They had a wide array of sandwiches to choose from, but I didn't have to look for too long because their monthly special was front and center and sounded delicious so that's what I got. I think it got me at the bacon and pineapple with thousand island sauce. FOOD The sandwich was PHENOMENAL‼I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never had that combination of things on a sandwich before, but it was sooooooooo tastyIt was perfectly made and the flavor was so well balanced. It was cheesy with a hint of sweet and just the right amount of sauce, delicious. When I got it it was fresh off the griddle and the cheese pulled apart as I pulled the cut sandwich from its other half. I was sold from the first bite and knew I'd be going back to check out their other sandwiches. SERVICE/ AMBIANCE The vibe felt like an east coast sandwich shop. The staff were down to earth, cool, and the chef was especially helpful. He literally came from behind the kitchen to take my order and went back and made my order while the other staff member was busy taking care of another order. They even gave me a bag of chips on the house. Now that's what I call customer service! I will definitely be going back to try out their other sandwiches. They had a lot that I was curious about. Pretty good sandwiches for the area. A lot to choose from. I've tried a bunch, never been disappointed. I really like the roast beef one. The "London " ( sans jalapeños) . I wish they had combos. Everything is ala carte.

Great location and friendly service! We saw the business while cruising through to thrift shopping. Yummy sandwich with all the beverage choices we could have ever hoped for. Love the big menu on the wall, nice music playing, and sign saying "smile! Happiness looks good on you."

Visited my friend in the area and we decided on sandwiches and stumbled across this sandwich shop on Melrose. Honestly didn't have a go to sandwich spot in LA yet but I think I just found one. The owner was working the front register and was very friendly. You can tell he cares about his shop and the interior is pretty cool as well. The menu is extensive and all the sando's are named after places and cities. There's not much seating but with how fast it was ready I wouldn't see you needing to sit too long to wait unless it's a busier time of day. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the Buenes Aires I got. Definitely will be coming back!

This is their buffalo chicken sandwich? That avocado looks really sad and where is the bleu cheese? Or buffalo anything?

Is there a spot for 0 stars?! I wish I could say I'm sorry for writing this, But these aren't sandwiches, I have no idea what the brown patty is in my sandwich but it's not chicken. My fiancée ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and there wasn't even buffalo anything in it. So for your reply, starting with the buffalo chicken sandwich, So where is the Buffalo sauce? Instead it was like a sweet teriyaki. Why is there only a little area with something that doesn't even look like bleu cheese? There's literally a small little slice of avocado! That's a $20 sandwich?!? Look at the portion of meat!. For the other sandwich, that patty looked vegetarian, There was no ground chicken and if it was ground chicken, then whoever grounded it really took the chick out of that chicken because it was disguising. I don't feel not even alittle bad about by review because it was honest and stated the facts

So good!!! And hits the spot can't wait to try the rest of the items on the menu. Cute shop for quick grab and go. Super nice staff too!!

Was around WeHo area to pick up a cake my sister won. It's fortunate this shop was just next door, I was getting hangry. The Owner Sina was so nice and friendly. I mentioned that I loved the menu board occupying one side of the wall. Handwritten menu items, white chalk on dark-board/wall. We ordered the New York (Pastrami) and London (Roast Beef). Both were good, I enjoyed the Pastrami more than the roast beef. There are bar height chairs to enjoy your sandwich inside. Street parking is hard to find.

We ordered SEVENTY (70!) sandwiches (a mix of WeHo/New York/Havana/Paris/Buenos Aires) for a Halloween party at work. The owner, Sina, was a pleasure to work with from the 1st phone call to the day of pick up. Every sandwich was marked clearly, no errors at all, and he even threw in a couple of free sandwiches! I had the WeHo and it tasted fresh and flavorful, and not soggy at all. I'll personally be going back on my own! Everybody LOVED and devoured their sandwiches, and we will definitely be ordering from LA Sandwich Bar again for future parties! Thanks again, Sina!!

Did my own lil sandwich experiment over the past two days. I went to the trendy Ggiata first and then LA Sandwich Bar the second day. LA Sandwich Bar felt more like a traditional, hearty sandwich. The bread was soft and not seedy, the lettuce was shredded, and the meat was plentiful. I ordered the Rome, which I will say could have benefitted from some banana peppers in the mix, but besides that the classic Italian sub was just lovely. Was it the best I've ever had? Probably not. Was it slightly better and slightly less expensive than Ggiata? Absolutely.

Over hyped. Better sandwich spots around this area. The quality wasn't that great. The sandwich was mid. I would not come back.

I got the caprese, which was the fan favorite. The monaco (tuna sandwich), which was spicy and tasty. I also got the fiorelli which didn't seem like as much of a crowd pleaser but was still decent. Myself and some others were not a fan of the lemon preserve but with those removed the sandwiches were great.

I preferred my sandwich because I loved the crunch from the pistachios and the sweetness that came from the jam. It was a good size - I only ate about half and saved the rest for later. I originally thought that the amount of guanciale was lacking but it was still an overall well balanced sandwich so I didn't mind while eating. I enjoyed the mushrooms that came in the Colucci but wanted more of the eggplant flavor to come through. For both, I could tell the quality of the ingredients itself and the freshness of the bread - which is KEY! I also got a nutella canelé (which I've never tried) and that was the perfect sweet treat to end off my meal. DEF RECOMMEND! Before you even come in, you can smell the focaccia baking. I came here on a Saturday around 11am and there was no line - it took about 10 minutes to get my sandwiches and there was ample seating inside and out. Street parking was fine - metered and non metered spots all around. Would come again if i'm in the area!!

The restaurant is billed as French-Vietnamese and previously offered pho and related fare but did not have these options on our visit. Our family came on a Saturday evening after an afternoon in the mall. I got the Ahi Tuna burger ($18), a substantial slab of Ahi Tuna steak on a bun with a wasabi mayo and paired with perfectly crispy, well salted frites ($5). We also got the French lobster roll ($26) a decent, but not groundbreaking, sandwich with a spicy sauce. One of our children got the tomato soup ($10) which was phenomenal - creamy and tomatoey - and paired well with grilled cheese. The cafe was clean and positioned with a great view; service was good too, with the waitress making suggestions and accommodating our children's special requests. Prices, as listed above, were excellent for the quality and quantity of food provided in an otherwise quite expensive area. More Parisien then Indochine, Nicholas deserves the unusually high rating it commands for the area. If you're in the Beverly Center and looking for a quality, high-value meal, Nicholas est la meilleur choix. Magnifique! Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Value: 5/5

You've gotta just ignore social norms and say F it! F is for French! lol Yeah, sometimes you've gotta just exclaim: "I'm gettin' the Burger and I'm most DEFINITELY getting the Fries!" And nobody and I mean Nobody is going to stop me! Yeah, that was me and my mindset when I was out at the Beverly Center back in August. Hey! It was lunch. I was hungry. & Nicolas Eatery was there to handle all my needs. And just like Napoleon Bonaparte would have done... I strolled in, I walked straight to the bar top, sat down, placed my napkin in my lap, ordered a burger, a side of fries and of course L.A's FINEST tap water. And just like that, instead of following trends... I was setting them! So what did I get you ask?? Le Beverly Burger of course!! This alongside their perfectly fried French fries which you know I dipped in Ketchup... Yes, I know, so American of me! =) Sadly, my only mistake I made on this day... I should have ordered my favorite French Beer, 1664 Kronenbourg.... Damn! But Lance, this Mall is so crazy, where the heck do I go?? Nicolas Eatery is located on Level 6, or "six" in French (Fun Fact: spelled the same, sounds totally different) and trust, my French is No Good! If you're able to snag a window seat, you will get a clear view of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign in the distance. Of course I went with the Burger, but trust, this place has more than just French Fries. -French Baguette with Butter -French Onion Soup -French Omelette But if want to drink like the French do... FOOD Bubble Waffle with Pistachio Gelato (5.5/5): Omg! I didn't know they have egg waffle here as well. It's a classic Hong Kong street food that I grew up with, you don't really see it around. The egg waffle is tasty, it doesn't taste bland and not overly seasoned (it has the egg custard-y taste, not too sweet), and it has a light crisp outside. I had a gelato to pair with it. The pistachio flavor is yummy, it has chopped pistachio nuts inside so the texture is rich. If you have a sweet tooth, pair it with a scoop of gelato, they compliment each other well. *finish the gelato first so it doesn't make the egg waffle loose it's crisp Pastrami Brisket Sandwich (5/5): They recommended me the Pastrami Brisket Sandwich and the prosciutto one, I haven't had lunch so I went with the pastrami- it was good. The bread is pretty soft and it's decently portioned, you could share the sandwich. It's a simple sandwich that's healthy and flavourful, you don't feel heavy after eating it. I like that it's not messy to eat (not overly saucey)! They hold the fillings with the little wooden sticks. AMBIENCE Sitting is spacious and clean, it's at the corner of the mall so it's not too crowded. There is enough space to put your shopping bags if you're trying to grab a quick bite around. Service is quite decent, the staff recommended the right stuff. It didn't take a long time for the food to be ready, good for grab and go. OVERALL I think it's a casual spot that serves healthy quick bites, it's a good option to sit down after or in between a shopping spree.
