Just tonight, I was trying to look up the pixius phone #, when a chat agent (Joe) came on the…read morescreen. I stated my problem I was having with the Wi-Fi cutting in and out. He immediately looked into it and thought it was probably a worn out router and that he would mail a new one out. He also stated that if that didn't work, to call and they would schedule for a technician to come out. Joe was very helpful. I will change this to 5 stars, if the router comes in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Pixius.

It has been nothing but trouble. When it is up it may work great for a few minutes or a few hours and then will drop intermittently. Could be down for seconds or minutes or longer. They always have an excuse when you call support. They have tried them all now (probably have more). They have used that trees are blocking the signal. Our radio is mounted in a clear line of sight. Blamed interference from other signals. Blamed ice on the antenna. Will escalate to a higher level of support to be told nothing is wrong. their solutions is for us to buy into a new plan and contract for three years. New contract at the same poor service, what a deal! Looking forward to Velocity from Butler Electric. They can't be any worse and are cheaper.

I recently called Dish customer support because my bill has been going up month after month. The…read moresupervisor I talked to assured me that I would get the same programming plus Netflix for less than $120, whereas I was paying $168. To say the least, what he promised & what I got were 2 different things. So I called customer service again today. The representative was rude & would not listen to my requests. I finally gave up arguing with her & hung up. I would not recommend Dish to anyone, even my enemies.

I had been with DirecTV for 7 years and hated having to hassle with them every year to lower my…read morebill to a price I was willing to pay. It was the same thing every year, call them up and tell them that my bill was too high and then they would enact some discounts that would save me about $30 a month but were only good for a year. So the next year I'd have to call them up and do it all over again. Well last November when I called to complain about my bill they refused to lower the rate. I guess that now they're a part of AT&T they are unwilling to negotiate on price. So I decided to try switching to DISH. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! DISH suckers you in with their low initial rate but then once you add in extra packages to get what you want it ends up costing MUCH more. I believe their current introductory package starts off at $39. Sounds pretty good right? But wait, you want local channels? Well that's not included. You have to pay an extra $10 a month for that. Who the hell doesn't want local channels?!?! You want a DVR? That's extra also. You have 2 TV's? Yep there's an extra charge for that too. So my monthly bill ended up being $70 a month. That's quite a jump from $39 but still better than I was getting with DirecTV so I decided to go for it. The phone operator told me about the 2 year contract and I told him, "Hey wait a minute. I'm not signing up for 2 years when I haven't even tried your service out yet." I forget what he told me exactly but he definitely gave me the impression that I could cancel if I didn't like the service. When the DISH installer came out to set up my equipment I also asked him about a trial period and he told me I had 30 days to cancel. So everything was going OK until the day of the Super Bowl. We missed the end of the game so I tried to find highlights on ESPN only to find out the package I had did not include ESPN!!!! I called up DISH and was told, "If you want sports channels, that's an extra $10 a month." Gimme a break. What a scam! So now I'd have to pay $80 a month for pretty much basic cable. No pay channels like HBO. I just wanted the standard stuff like Food Network, HGTV, ESPN. So the next higher package was $84 a month and included ESPN but took away DIY and Cooking Channel!!!!! How frickin lame!!! So now I wasn't saving money over DirecTV anymore and decided to cancel the service. I had DISH send out the installer to remove their DISH and take their boxes back. To top it all off now they're trying to charge me a $500 early termination fee even though 2 people at their company told me their was a trial period!! I have filed a complaint with the Denver Better Business Buereau and I will be taking DISH to small claims court if they refuse the waive the fee. Stay far away from this company people. Their channel packages are completely predatory and set up so that the only way you can get the channels you want is to pay for the expensive plans.

I work from home and must have reliable internet. I'm looking for another option as fast as I can I've been with Cox for over thirty years. So I don't take leaving them lightly. But I also do not take the fact that they are no longer reliable and more expensive than their competition. They are also sneaky. They raise your rate without telling you, and they do this yearly. I confess they have not done this to me for two years this time. I used to have to call once a year to renegotiate my monthly rate. I have missed numerous Zoom meetings due to their outages. Over the last year, I have lost in the neighborhood of $1500 because of their constant and predictable outages. I'm writing this now on a text pad that does not require the Internet. I look at my television and see "Something went wrong." My Wi-Fi is working fine on my network, but I am not on the Internet. This has been going on for twelve hours that I'm aware of --- and that is just today. It was also every day this week and last week. I understand that all utilities have issues. But they are rare for all but Cox. With Cox, it is a way of life. And you will not be reimbursed for lost time or money. You will pay Cox even though you get nothing for your money. We now have Earthlink in Wichita and ATT. Those are fiber, which is a better offering. The bad part is that you must sign a 12-month contract. So you are stuck. That's what these companies like to do. They give you a low price for one or two years, and then when you are off contract, they raise your price. It is rather crooked. I'm assuming they are all like that, but I don't know for sure. I know Cox and Earthlink are. I've not talked with ATT yet. But friends in Wichita or the Wichita area, I warn you, don't use Cox Communications for the Internet. They are vultures who take your money and give you the most painful headache you've ever had. We now have options. And remember, you "can" get out of a contract. ATT will pay your current provider your cancellation fee and give you a free install. ATT and Earthlink are both rated higher in surveys and feedback than Cox, which is dead last.
