Amazing. A little hard to find...you need to take the stairs down BELOW the Reagan building. It's a small place and there's usually a bit of a wait (10-20 minutes, even with an appointment), but it is SO worth it. I love Amy - I always show her which nails I love from Pinterest and she 100% makes them a reality. Great pricing too...$35 for a gel manicure that has lasted over 3 weeks now without lifting. If you work in or near the Reagan Building, and/or commute via the Federal Triangle metro station, this is a very convenient place to pop in for a pedicure after work (or during your lunch hour if you're into that kind of thing). This place is really helping me keep my feet sandal-ready for summer! They've managed to fit quite a lot into their small shop space without anything feeling cluttered. The beauticians are polite and professional, and the prices are reasonable. They're also happy to take walk-ins. Last but not least, you can tip using your credit card, which is nice since a lot of salons don't let you do that. I guess this is my go-to place for all things mani-pedi now! read more

It was pretty hard to find and the security to get inside of the building was stressful only to go back outside. The nails turned out nice but we had to wait for the manager to come do acrylics and my friend had to wait 30 mins from her working on one nail for 30 mins. I got acrylic on a nail that broke and my friend got full set. We both got cuts from the filing but it wasn't that bad. The nails turned out really nice tho. Hit or miss experience here. If you can identify a good nail person, you get a gel mani that lasts for several weeks. For pedis, the chairs on the left side of the room, when you enter the store, are broken. The middle chair is the most effective. The others are not worth the time investment. I am so sad that I live 700 miles away from this nail salon. I came in here hobbling around after several days of being on foot almost constantly, in desperate need of a pedi. I have never had a more enjoyable and relaxing pedi at any salon local to me than I have here. Between using the massage chair and the foot massage I received from my tech, I was starting to fall asleep in the chair. It was heavenly. A gajillion miles worth of sightseeing walks later, trudging through the 2 mile walk in the terminal at O'hare and back home in Chicago, my ped still looks completely fresh and not a smudge or chip in sight. I will go back but I will definitely use another technician. I received service on April 28, 2016. The wait was short but the prices were high ($17 for regular mani). The services were quick but less thorough than I've had at other places. Went to Connie's as a last resort. I normally get my eyebrows threaded but had been having issues getting to my normal threader, so I noticed they were located in/attached to the building that I work in and needed to get my eyebrows done bad! Even if it was just a basic cleanup. I went in during lunch was asked to wait, but it was no more than 3 minutes and a young lady was ready to take me back. It was a smooth process she did a good enough job considering how I came in. I wish they brushed and scissor trimmed the brow after waxing for more precision, but for a quick fix they definitely did the trick. They also have a rewards card to receive a 10.00 discount after your 10th visit! read more

Be careful who you get to do your nails... Not all have the same skill set. I've been here 4 times and I was really disappointed today because it seemed like the manicurist was doing nails for the first time ever. She couldn't even file my nails correctly, cut cuticles etc. I've had Soko do my nails before and she was good. Went in for an emergency acrylic repair while visiting from out of town. My whole nail snapped while at a museum, so painful! They helped me secure the nail and did a wrap on it to make it sturdy (which is all I needed to make sure it stayed whole/strong until my next fill back with my regular guy in Queens). It was only one nail so I can't really speak to the quality of what a set would be here. I did call ahead and say I'd arrive in 15 mins, took me about 20 to find it (you enter from outdoors, despite it being on the Reagan mall map). And then I waited about 20-25 mins. Glad it worked out, bc I had an appt I couldn't be late for. Although if I had to wait any longer, I would have liked to be told on the phone what the expected wait would have been so I would have been aware. read more

I'm not sure if that's typical here or not. In FL, they don't charge for taking it off, if they're putting it on. The best manicure I've ever had! I come here every two weeks to get new gel. Their attention to detail is impressive, and I've never been disappointed. Very affordable, especially for DC! $35 for a gel mani, and during the week they have specials for regular mani-pedis, too! I have been going to Connie's Nails since I moved to DC 2.5 years ago and always had a good experience. Conveniently located, with quick and friendly nail techs. However, in the last 6 months, I've had really poor mani/pedis, always done by a nail tech I've never seen before. Today, my pedi and mani felt rushed and my polish job was raggedy. There is a definite difference between efficiency and just not taking the time to do a good job. When I pointed out that 1) the top of my nail was filed crookedly but still painted over and 2) the polish job on my nails was bumpy in some places (which mean instant chipping), I was told it was because my nails are short. WTF? I won't be going back. :( I gave three stars because I used to get great manis there. read more

I work at the RRB & love coming here after work on occasion. The place is small but it's the best place I've gone to for simple gel manicures. Bella is amazing and always does such a beautiful job. She's so meticulous and my nails are always perfect when I leave. My regular gel manicures stay on for at least two weeks until I deliberately take them off. First of all it's important to note that I started coming here because I work in the Reagan bidg and its conveniently located. Normally, I try to schedule a pedicure from Amy, which is good, albeit INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED ($32.00+tip). So today, I came in and sadly Amy, was unavailable so, I opted for someone else.. who's name completely escapes me. It was by far, the worst pedicure I've ever had. She spent little to no time allowing my feet to soak, she LIGHTLY rubbed the Emory board on my nails to remove the cuticle but gave up half way through, finally, the kicker came when she told me she was done and I looked at me freshly pedicured toes to find the remnants of dry skin, cuticles and uncut nails on both of my feet. I asked the technician to use the scraper to remove the remaining dry skin which she did attempt to do but at that point it was just too late, she had gotten up and walked away. I paid my $32.00 and informed her quietly (so as not to embarrass anyone) that the pedicure she performed was quite bad to which she smiled and handed me my credit card slip to sign. I stumbled upon this nail salon after a meeting in the Reagan Building, and I'm so glad I did! Although the space is fairly small and awkwardly shaped, it's super clean and doesn't feel cramped. All of the nail technicians were friendly and professional, and I was surprised at how detailed and thorough they were with each client. I've definitely been to some salons where they're trying to rush you out the door as quickly as possible, but at Connie's this wasn't the case! So I've been looking for a nail salon home since I graduated from school this past may. I have tried several different places that either didn't work out because of prices or bad customer service. I walked in Connies Nail salon desperate for a pedicure and acrylic fill in. The inside, although small, was very clean and inviting. I was inmediately greeted and asked to pick a color. Not in that nasty tone some nail service technicians use either. But in a warm friendly manner. Anyways, they started on my fill ins first. I'n not accustomed to that since as a general pracfice most salons leave the hands alone until the end to minimize the chances of smearing the polish before you are out the door. However, she did all the necessary prep work and informed me she would add my color as they did my pedicure. The chair was super comfy. The ladies really did an excellent job and actually took their time with the foot scrub. They also do the hot towels and a very good leg massage as a part of their classic pedicure. Another bonus since some salons in dc make you pay for these additional services. It was nice to have my nails painted and almost dry just as another technician was finishing up on painting my toes. Also the lady was very kind in assiting me with putting my sandals back on. How she got them on without any mishaps with the polish remains a mystery. However i definetley appreciated the extra care and patience she had. To top it all off, they do a gel top coat for the acrylic fill ins to seal in the color just a tad longer! LOVVVEEE THIISSS!! All in all, a very very good nail salon experience. Will make this my go to spot. I encourage you ladies and gents to the same. read more
