WONDERFUL STORE! I love everything about this store. Locally own. They have cooking classes and omg the food that will be made looks AMAZING. My boyfriend and I will definitely be going for Valentine's Day! We got to try all the balsamic's and oils! We ended up picking a balsamic and oil. They have lots of options for gifts! We got so many different things :) They have free recipe cards too! OBSESSED! If you're running low on oil or balsamic, please go here! Pricing was so reasonable and might even be cheaper than some grocery store options!

Couldn't find my pics of the store - here's some of my bruschetta made with Con' Olio oil, though! Delish!

I've been very lax in getting this review up, but I highly recommend Con' Olio's as a place to visit for all dedicated foodies! Owner Tabatha Conarko opened her two stores as the first Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOO) and balsamic vinegar tasting locations in Austin, and it's a welcome addition to the scene. I found this location to be well laid out, with friendly staff and a decent selection to choose from. The strength of CO is their willingness to let you taste pretty much anything in the store. While the star of the show is the olive oil, their flavored balsamic vinegars are well worth your time. A note to the newcomer to the world EVOO: You may find to your surprise that many samples are astringent and peppery! That's because fresh olive oil contains a high level of antioxidants, which provide multiple health benefits. I do wish that Yelp had half-star ratings as I'd give this location 4.5 stars if I could. The only reason I give this 4 is that the layout and selection are slightly more limited here as opposed to their flagship store at the Arboretum. Both are worth your time to visit.

Wonderful oils and balsamic vinegar free tastings which I found to be so interesting since I been to several places where they charge for tastings or dont give free tastings Bob helped me with giving me samples of the best tasting oils I ever had ....many are from Spain Portugal Italy and many other countries he gave a quick tour since I was on a time limit. I purschased two bottle of balsamic vinegar and a bottle of olive oil with such flavor I found myself in love with such a large section of tasty oils and varieties. I rated this small business by the assistance and educating me on all what they have to offer. I do know they are across the street from Hill county Galleria and close to marshalls. Next time I return I want more of an education or school they do have here And be sure to get schooled on the areas of the World what oils come from. Off bee caves Road easy parking so no problems I see. Till next time .....enjoy

I always enjoy visiting Con' olio! They have a huge selection of premium oils that are far better than what you get at any store.

Price - $10-15 for a plate of noodles without any protein and veggies. So it can easily add up to make your plate an extra $5-$10 if you add anything to it. 3. Ambiance - this is a bar and restaurant setting. Great for hang outs with friends and family. Dress code is casual. 4. Food - I had their CARBONARA PASTA and CHICKEN ARROSTO. With a side of salad and Garlic bread. Everything was good and tasty. The noodles were fresh, thick, and different. However, it was super salty. Did I pick the wrong sauce perhaps or was the chef a bit heavy handed on the salt? 5. Cleanliness - Dining area was outdoors in the back on a cold day. Good thing they had a heating lamp near by. They managed their tables well. No dirty plates lingering around. Restrooms were not bad either. Small, but clean. SUMMARY It's great that they make fresh noodles, but $20+ for a plate of noodles is a bit much. Overly paying for salty food, I rather go to a chain Italian restaurant. Not worth the hype in my opinion.

Responses were a bit slow initially, but with a few follow-ups she was helpful and did a good job answering my questions and clarifying details. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, making it a great choice for a festive gathering. Our reservation was in the evening in mid-December, so we did not get to experience the outdoor views, which I imagine are beautiful. That said, the indoor dining experience was still very pleasant. Our waitress was wonderful. She was accommodating, communicative, and professional throughout the evening. The food was tasty and well presented, and overall the group seemed happy with their selections. I ordered the bolognese. It was not the best I have had, but it also did not feel like a standout dish on the menu. I would be open to trying other options next time. Overall, we had a positive experience and would return. We are looking forward to coming back.

They have this ceiling fans open that I don't know what's the reason behind opening it when the weather is so cold. And who puts string lights close to a ceiling fan??? It was a nightmare for me and my family members.. the ceiling fan and all the outdoor dining is a big safety concern! The ceiling fan got broken after it hit the string lights and one of the propellers broke and suddenly flew to my face, luckily I saw it and just turned around but still hit my neck to shoulder area. It was a huge, thick fan propeller and I don't think people will understand this if you didn't experience or saw it in person. Everybody was in shock and panicky because no one is turning off that ceiling fan even if it was still broken and hit ME on my neck! My family had to shout a few times just so everyone is aware to turn off the ceiling fan! Compensated all of our food but it will but our life will never be the same again.. the trauma you this restaurant caused us! And I think the staff wasn't really fully trained to execute an emergency because they don't even know what to do and at the end they just offered me free wine and the calling card of who ever we need to talk incase we have future claims with them. Other than that, one of the staff members were a little bit nosy and staring at us and giving us that annoying look! And that's unacceptable and inappropriate. To conclude this, someone needs to be liable.. definitely not coming back to any restaurants named after this company in future. Luckily, the food and server was good but still not a solution to a horrible accident that could have been prevented by the staff or maintenance. Safety of customers is the top priority but they have ZERO of that yesterday! Thank God for the EMT and for my family who took care of me.

I actually had the event bookmarked on Yelp! Yay! Everything about the Boil was fantastic! Of course, the locale. For those of you that have never been to RH, put it on your list of things to do. Even if you don't have a full meal, go for a drink or two and take in all the beautiful scenery! Great landscaping, architecture, and stunning views of the lake - particularly from the Pavilion balcony that is only opened on special occasions such as the Boil (weddings, grad parties, etc.). The staff are all well-trained and know how to treat the customers. Super helpful and courteous! The festive sounds of live zydeco filled the air. The weather was perfect. About 85, nice and sunny, with just the right breeze. (Which is a good thing, because RH does not allow crawfish consumption inside the main restaurant.) The people...not too packed; diverse crowd . Everyone was very friendly. There were a fair amount of kiddos about; however, they were all so well behaved I didn't even notice them. (Not a hater - just like to relax with my beer and snack without hearing screaming in my ear). MOST IMPORTANT: The Mud Bugs. Normally $25 p/p for all-you-can-it - which is a GREAT deal - but made even better if you happen to know the manager (Thanks for the hospitality Johnny!). Great bugs! Huge! Suck da heads good! Each batch was served with corn on the cob, small red potatoes, and slices of andouille. Awesome! A+++! A wonderful, fun-filled afternoon! Have already put the event on my calendar for next year! Do the same! Maybe I'll see you there... :-D

So when my friend told me about this all-you-can-eat crawfish event at the lake, my first two reservations were 1) lake people? and 2) how much crawfish can I really eat? But alas, after chain watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix for 4 hours last (Friday) night and mourning my sedentary lifestyle and general anti-socialness...I impulse-bought the $15 advance ticket online. What else was I gonna do on Saturday? Besides continue to vicariously engage in Ted's tireless search for his future wife on Netflix? The set-up was beautiful. A prototypical "lake scene" you would see on say, TV, rather than the let-down gross lake scenes that tend to disappoint me. Gorgeous mansions atop hills/cliffs(?) all around which didn't really directly contribute to the experience because it's not like we were in them but hey made very good visual props. And of course there was the surrounding lake...and we were lucky that the weather was sunny and breezy. There were a good amount of people--enough to where the event seemed happenin' but not to where I was elbowing people in a race to the all-you-can-eat grub. In fact, that was probably one of the key delighters...lack of long ass lines. Loved it. Heaps of food and virtually no wait! The 1.5 - 2 lb. crawfish servings were put into these black paper cartons where people would just pick up and go. They also had mac and cheese, hot dogs, and eventually beef sliders included in your pass fee which was a pleasantly unexpected surprise. I never say no to mac and cheese. The crawfish was tasty--spicy and well-seasoned although a bit too salty for my taste. Included in the sides were boiled potatoes, corn, mushrooms, and sliced sausage which are more side items than are usually included with crawfish. So they definitely didn't scrimp just because it was all-you-can eat. (Another thing I must add is I'm not a fan of buffets. Once again, people have bad judgment when put in front of unlimited food supply plus quality is usually compromised for quantity.) One harp I had with the service was the bartender inside the restaurant...very unattentive, unhelpful, and clueless. I'm not sure if this counts toward the specific event because I later realized that the Grille at Rough Hollow Restaurant was only co-hosting the boil with a few other groups but hey--I'm going to recount everything that contributed to my holistic experience, good or bad. My friend and I literally stood against the counter for 10 minutes while this bartender ignored us (no it was not crowded) before we finally asked to see a happy hour drink menu. He was unfriendly and after handing us the menu adds that he's not sure if there is happy hour today. Umm, if the bartender doesn't know the happy hour schedule...who the hell is supposed to know? He doesn't even offer up a way for us to find out and the proceeds to ignore us again. I encountered a similar experience with another one of the restaurant's employees, not sure if this is a consistent issue with the Grille. That said, the staff that were clearly working the specific event were very friendly and helpful. A woman with a green shirt would frequently materialize out of nowhere and offer up wet naps at point of need and there were always bus boys clearing out the crawfish cartons after you were done. Overall, I would definitely recommend this event and will probably attend the following year--my begrudging view of lake-type hooplas is slowly shifting!
