Everything we tried was fresh and completely on point. The dressing on the house salad is good enough to just drink from a glass. Small and quaint dining area and the staff is beyond welcoming. Now for the main reason we visited. We signed up for the olive oil tasting. First off, this Texas guy did not know this was a thing. I never knew that there was such a big difference between true olive oil and what you purchase at the big box grocery chains. Their malt vinegar selection is also out of this world and you will never buy from a grocery store again. Sign up for the tasting and you will be a convert as well. A meal at the Bistro and the tasting room experience are worth a couple of hours of an afternoon. We will be back for brunches in the future as well as to stock up on more olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

In addition to the special edition olive oils & balsamic vinegars curated for the tasting, we were allowed unlimited samples of their infused flavored olive oils as well, which were absolutely delicious! This place offers quality olive oils and balsamic vinegars at very reasonable prices. We ended up taking home several bottles- their Sola Stella, Terra Verde, & Sicilian olive oils as well as their Traditional Balsamic and Bourbon Balsamic. After the tasting we enjoyed a light lunch at their bistro, which was delightful. Farm to table, fresh food paired with a bottle of Chardonnay made for the perfect end to our experience. Highly recommend!

This is a rare gem of a store in South Austin that you have to know about if you don't already. This is a very unique, quiet, and calm place to come in to whether you want to browse or you are curious about a consultation at Lee's Healing Center (located inside the shop in the back). When I need red mal de ojo bracelets (what are ojo bracelets, you ask? They are for protection! Look it up!) for myself, friends, or even for my baby nephew Cantu's has got them. Yup! She carries baby bracelets too to give to a newborn baby or any one who has small wrists to be honest. You will want to really take your time here when you arrive as there are so many things to see. Books, candles, prayer booklets, trinkets, statues, and tarot cards (also in Spanish!) can be found here. There should be no rush when you are here so take your time and gather all the things that call to you. Parking is located in the back of the small yellow building. Entrance is in the front off of S. 1st street. Be sure not to park in the convenience store next door where the sandwich shop is at. You will be towed!
