They didn't have everything on my list but they had some and much more! Love this place for wholesale herbs and adaptogenics, plus they have fun fairy witchy girly stuff!

Wow! It's been a long time since I've been here. So my main reason is my boss. She has Cedar allergies really bad. I heard The Herb Bar has this serum and I was willing to grab it for her and hopefully help with the Cedar effects. I'll update how things are going with her. A week after my boss has been dealing with Cedar, I started getting the same symptoms, so I got one of the serums for myself too. I'll update you on my results. Since it has been a while, I wanted to see the changes and see what all the items they have. I did buy a hematite ring, which sadly broke in 12 hours. I was washing my hands and it broke in half. I understand that it's a stone and that can happen, just sad that it didn't last a full day at least. Kind of felt like I bought a ring from a bubble gum machine. I wouldn't recommend buying it to anyone. I do like that they have a variety of smudge sticks. Although I didn't get any this time, I'll go back another day when I'm low of smudge sticks at home and make a purchase. But for now, here are a few shots of the goods they have.

What a great shop. Ive been coming here since way before it was discovered by the rest of the country. Housed in a little stone building probably over 100 years old, it sits just off the main drag of South Congress Avenue. Potions, lotions, rocks, candles, herbs, incense, jewelry. You name it they can support your healthy mystical lifestyle with quality products that are source confirmed. The staff is laid back and helpful and you will never feel rushed or watched here. If you are in Austin I recommend checking it out. Checking out the building alone is worth the trip!

A dear friend recommended CBD oil as a natural alternative and sent me to The Herb Bar to check it out.

You need to come here. I do not know another shop like this in Austin where Cantu's has been my go-to for the 21 years of me living here. This is a rare gem of a store in South Austin that you have to know about if you don't already. This is a very unique, quiet, and calm place to come in to whether you want to browse or you are curious about a consultation at Lee's Healing Center (located inside the shop in the back). When I need red mal de ojo bracelets (what are ojo bracelets, you ask? They are for protection! Look it up!) for myself, friends, or even for my baby nephew Cantu's has got them. Yup! She carries baby bracelets too to give to a newborn baby or any one who has small wrists to be honest. You will want to really take your time here when you arrive as there are so many things to see. Books, candles, prayer booklets, trinkets, statues, and tarot cards (also in Spanish!) can be found here. There should be no rush when you are here so take your time and gather all the things that call to you. Parking is located in the back of the small yellow building. Entrance is in the front off of S. 1st street. Be sure not to park in the convenience store next door where the sandwich shop is at. You will be towed! Be sure to say hello to Virgen de Guadalupe on the side of the building. The mural is beautiful (and old) but worth the stop to check out and maybe get a selfie with her. She really shines off of S. 1st Street!

But there's a lot of positives here, and sometimes you can score some great deals and I love the selection here too - has everything I need. Their produce is usually very fresh here and I do find some good sales. I migrate to the back area where they have packaged fruit and sometimes can find a half off deal. I utilize the app with store coupons, and when you snip them on your phone and plug your phone number into the kiosk it will automatically deduct the coupons you clipped! Awesome sauce. I like to also migrate back to the clearance section as sometimes you can find a deal - like 99 cent cans of Pineapple Poppi soda. Well I tried one first - and it is pretty darn good - not too shabby! So I got 6. Thanksgiving I scored this awesome 3LB honey ham for $12 which was normally $30, warmed it up in the oven- wow! Way way better than ham slices you get at the deli. The staff here has always been gracious and helpful. They had accepted returns with a receipt and I usually get store credit since I shop there weekly. I love their deli with sausages - at times the can be 99 cents per for chicken and jalapeno sausages and they are fantastic. And let's not forget about their awesome sandwiches. The Italian is my favorite but only $6-7 a sandwich when they cost double or more with Austin restaurants.

They also have an extensive seafood counter with very knowledgeable staff to help you make a selection. With a dedicated area for fresh sushi, a barbecue selection, freshly made sandwiches, prepared foods, a hot bar, and a salad bar all of your grocery needs can be met here. At the front of the store, there's also a fantastic coffee bar so you can remain caffeinated while you shop. Weekly specials are designated with a yellow tag, and it shows the sale price as well as the further reduced price for Amazon prime members. I need Diet Coke and food that is bad for me too. We come here probably once or twice a week. The Amazon return center is super convenient. There's a self serve kiosk too. Major plus. Our second stop is juice land and then the hot bar & salad bar. I like being able to make a "girl dinner" lunch with a couple of bites worth of several things. We typically go to the roof to eat and to let the kids run around the playscape. If anyyyyy corporate Whole Foods people are reading this- can we please update the play area? Maybe add to it? Or make it toddler friendly? I know I'm being picky we just come so much and it would be a dream update.

We got there right when they opened and the service was amazing. They started building our 15-person table immediately and service was fast. We tried the spring rolls, chicken wings, chicken curry, and fried rice. Everything was delicious, but the chicken wings and chicken curry were definite standouts! Absolutely packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I'll be coming back just for that curry! The atmosphere inside is a bit on the plain side, but the colorful glasses and fun plates add a nice touch and keep things lively. The food more than makes up for any lack of ambiance. I'll definitely be coming here again, and I'm already looking forward to ordering the chicken curry next time. Highly recommend for anyone craving great Thai food in Austin!

Roti -- Flaky, buttery, and comes with a rich sauce that pairs perfectly. Solid starter. Khao Soi -- The star of the night. Chewy noodles in a tangy, layered broth with fresh radishes and crunchy fried shallots that add these great unexpected textures. Only note: we were sharing and it came with a whole chicken thigh -- would be so much easier to eat if it came pre-shredded. Hung Lay Pork -- The pork flavor is bold and a little gamey, not for everyone. But the curry itself is warm and tangy and really shines when you eat it with rice. The space is well designed and the vibe matches the food -- adventurous and authentic. You can tell every dish is made with care. Already planning my next visit to work through the rest of the menu.
