They registered the software in their name instead of ours, so we could not get tech support from the company that sold the software. Blamed our operating system on why a printer would not work - so we upgraded our operating system... and still did not work. They would not return calls. Just terrible customer service in my book. Response to the Response And boy am I glad I did not buy the entire system! We decided to start with a single POS tablet that was sold to us by Lonestar and one load of the software on an existing computer. Lonestar examined it, and said it would all work, then started loading software. When they said it was the Operating System... we changed it, and they sent another tech who still could not get it to work. As far as credit card processing, we were assured the system would work with the largest credit card processor in the world, Chase Paymentech. But then when they could not get it to function, they wanted us to change to a processor with much higher costs. If it was a situation that they could not provide a system to work with the computers, and credit card company we were using, then I would maintain that they should not have sold us printers and tablets and software knowing that. But they really did not seem to know much about what would or would not work. Multiple people charging us to try to get it to work all to no avail. And I did pick up the phone and call multiple times... with no response, no returned calls, no support. If they cannot get a simple POS system to work on one computer they sell you, with the printer they sell you and the software they sell you... I'm not sure how spending $12,000 would have made it any better to have 4 computers not working instead of just 2.

BACK UP EVERYTHING half the computers I've taken here came back with the hard drives wiped clean. The other half got lost & he doesn't seem motivated to do anything about that. 2. Call before visiting. some shops would call you if there's been a delay. Most will call or email when the work is done. That's not Jimmy's style, so if he told you it would be ready last week, save yourself a trip by calling to make sure. 3. don't bring the charging cable. he's got plenty that will work with most devices & will probably lose yours anyway. 4. be patient James doesn't have a great short term memory & may ask several times what your name is & what brand your computer was & what he was doing to it. maybe put the important info on a notecard affixed to the device. large print. 5. inspect the device before leaving with it. did he put all the screws back in? does it boot up? this could save you a trip or two. 6. Try it yourself first. there are probably a few videos online that explain what you need done. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE YOURSELF! you can do hard things well. if you get stuck or don't have the time, Jimmy's got you. 7. make your device unique Jimmy's got a dozen stacks of silver & black laptops & tablets. put stickers on yours or paint a corner with nail polish. bring it in a neon green box or something.

Last weekend after searching on YELP for various audio video installers in the north east Dallas…read morearea, I contacted three installers and ended up choosing Honest Install of Richardson, TX. When talking to John, I could tell he was very knowledgeable about Audio/Video installs. He suggested I go with a Sonos Port to allow streaming over the internet, but noted that it was backordered months. I also decided to hold off on two other items he recommended until I could have his crew review my media room setup and verify whether there was other equipment that I needed. By the end of the day on Monday, I had approved an estimate for installation of whole home speakers and a media room setup and received a scheduled install start time of between 9-10am on Thursday. On Thursday, the install crew arrived in the scheduled time window and worked professionally to get the installation completed. They also suggested a couple of other items. John and I talked later in the day on Thursday and mentioned that the crew could install the additional items (other than the Sonos Port) on Friday. I agreed. When the crew arrived on Friday, I was happily suprises that they had a Sonos Port. Long story short, they installed the equipment and took time to show my wife (who is technically challenged) how to get the streaming working on her phone and complete the full setup. Awesome work and customer service. I highly recommend John's team at Honest Install for all of your audio/visual needs. Of note: John is a busy guy. He mentioned up front that the best way to reach him is on his phone as he is often traveling for work.

Did just that and received a very fair offer to replace two ceiling speakers with a new pair I had received as a gift (most other companies refused to work with me because I didn't buy the speakers from them). Guys showed up on time as promised and were out of here in an hour or so. They cleaned up and, most importantly, were very courteous (even wearing masks due to COVID which I appreciated).
