I went to the store to buy a charger for a little device bought in Korea designed to light up moxibustion. With the device, I had brought another charger used for my shaving equipment. The two technicians who tested the charger I had brought concluded that I can use the charger for the two devices!!! And that I don't have to another, separate charger!!! The hard drive was failing in my laptop. They diagnosed quickly and installed a solid state drive. It responds much faster now. The techs explained what happened, what to expect and used non-techy terms, knowing I wasn't adept at such things. The cost was reasonable. read more

I have been to this business in both it's old location and the new location and purchased several parts needed for my various computers, everything from ram (memory chips) to video graphics accelerators (video cards) and been given many tips on things to do to upgrade my own computers at home. Love the way these folks, all of them, listen, figure out what I'm saying in "non-tech-geek" language and translate it to geek-speak and back again to get me exactly what I'm looking for, the prices are great, when I purchased a new part it was at least 10% less than what I would have paid at a box store and when I purchased a used part it was at an "used part" price, not a jacked up more than "new" part price. Great in person service across the board and treated like a human being with computer problems, not like a bottomless wallet they can empty. Good place to go for what you want or need. read more

Today I walked in upset because my laptop was acting up just before finals week. I had not called ahead not made an appointment. The guys working here were not able to fix my laptop due to a specific part but they took the time to help me and temporarily fix the problem the best they could. This morning, my laptop suddenly froze up; my friend recommended this outfit, so I called, and the owner tried unsuccessfully to get in to my system using a team viewer, so I was forced to make the drive to their store. I have not spent a lot of money in this store over the years. Every time I go in I get a cheerful greeting by knowledgeable people. They treat me like an old friend even though I don't go in often. They always have good answers to my questions and they carry good quality products. I went in with one of my sons this morning for a wireless card and they had one and the price for this product was better than the big box stores. I was expecting to pay a little more and was quite pleased to find it at a better than internet price. For some time, I had trouble trying to get my desktop to boot properly until now. Prior to visiting the store, I was unable to find a solution to why my computer wouldn't start the OS without booting up a black screen with an error message. When I brought my computer in, the IT Tech was able to quickly boot my computer and find out why it behaved the way it did (Took him less than 10 minutes to find the solution, less longer than I could find a solution). Simple request. Transfer everything over from one laptop to the new one exactly "as was" so that I don't have to learn a new system from the old one. I work from home and don't have time for that. In the past it was never a problem to do that. David came out and said he completed the transfer but since he didn't know what OneDrive (simple data storage) was, he said the transfer of many old files of mine would take a few hours so he left. Over 20 hrs later, all files were transferred and I realized that he had transferred my entire recycle bin over as well, but not to a new trash bin, but in my documents! It has taken me hours to delete them all. I know that I should have emptied the bin before he showed up, but honestly didn't think that sort of thing could happen. Almost all other things were not at all set up like I had them and I now have to take my laptop to another tech to do what I asked David to do. The price for what he did (not counting the house call) was double what it should have been, especially since he didn't do the only thing I had asked him to do. I am at fault for being too trusting and not hanging out over his shoulder to check his work. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any computer company. read more

Not much good to say. Stopped by on a Monday...looking to get just a basic "look see" at a laptop...wanted to get it done in one day. No problem they said...we will call you and schedule an appointment. Called me on Wednesday afternoon...I said I would bring it in Thursday morning...dropped it off Thursday at 9am...assured me it would be done by close of business. Called them at 3:30...they hadn't even starting working on it..said it wasn't going to be done on Thursday...no apologies...no real explanation. Excellent customer service, up front and fair pricing, knowledgeable staff, many items in stock. I needed a laptop repaired and I feel like they not only gave me a fair quote and realistic expectation of when it would be completed (needed to order and wait for parts and remove motherboard just to do the work) but their customer service was excellent as well. After doing the fan replacement, they did a complete scan and cleanup of my system which fixed a lot of malware type things I didn't know were there. Pricing was no surprises and after I did my shopping around, they were cheaper than or competitive with everyone else in the area. You can walk in and see the work area which is reassuring and they have a decent sized storefront for computer items you need. Very disappointed. For $200 dollars, I got back a thumb drive which I was promised had all but a few files missing. After plugging it in and reviewing, I discovered that it was not files but rather file folders. And not just a few either. While I was able to get the more important documents and family photos back, everything else was gone. For a diagnostic and data retrieval, it's rather a steep price for what was delivered. I first discovered the store when I was looking to build a PC, but ended up buying a pre-built it wasn't too bad although the store did not have any pre-bills at the time or even maybe now I don't quite know they helped me on what components to get which processor which graphics card to get. Just said how do we build a computer and what computer parts we would need and they gave us all their honest opinions reviews and thoughts about each product no matter the price. Although I did not buy a PC at the store I did come back yesterday to get myself a water cooler for my Intel I7 ninth generation and I just said do you guys have any water coolers? They said yes and helped me through every Stephen might want to get I came home and set it up which wasn't really that easy but I got it done and it works amazing without these people I would've gotten a really bad water cooler off of Amazon thank you guys so much I definitely recommend the store this place is amazing the staff are awesome they will get done whatever you want them to get done with great selection of graphics cards processors air coolers keyboards and mouses and a small little store it is definitely a great place to go! read more

These people are my go-to for all my computer maladies and have been for probably 13 years. With two teen boys and multiple devices in the house, I appreciate the vast knowledge of all the technicians and their willingness to share it when I am in panic mode. Our latest episode was my very distraught 17yo son and his laptop, and Robert at CC calmly gave him advice to try to troubleshoot the issue himself without having to spend money to "bench" it. It is my privilege to recognize the excellence of the folks at Computer Concepts. They have been most helpful over the years, had competive pricing on parts and systems, and the folks are exceptionally knowledgable. Sure, it's not the flashiest of places perhaps. Remember the Incredible Universe in Auburn? That was flashy and didn't last. Less selection than perhaps Frys? Probably, but try to get someone to give you good information at Frys sometime. Repair/Service over parts? I don't see it that way. Any time I have sought a part they did not have, an order was placed and fulfilled in a very short time. Repair/Service is the bread and butter, and I would never fault the folks for that. It is extremely telling that Computer Concepts grew in terms of revenue, customer base, and store footprint in this recession while many other businesses went under. Actually, they are still going under. The folks at the store build relationships and get a lot of work from word of mouth. They get both by earning each and every one of those customers. It's nice to have such a store so close to home. And, the people remember me each time I come in. That means a lot to me, and they will continue to have my business over CompUSA, Frys, Best Buy and such. read more

I had my pc worked on with them recently, and they had hidden fees. I told them upfront that I only had X amnt of money to spend on repairing my laptop, and they assured me a flat rate fee that inc. restoring my ITunes. There were multiple hidden fees and they installed some things that were NOT discussed regarding what I was going to have to pay. I stated my dissatisfaction with them but they didn't seem to care or apologize that they had overpriced me. I also got my P.C about 9 days later, so I was not happy about that. They offered no apology. I should of gone to angies list for a good recommendation rec. saw that Vally Techs in Lynnwood was on Angies list...should of gone with them Oh well next time, it's my fault I am out 200.00 dollars.
