Avoid this store and franchise. I went to the Bothell location for a back glass iPhone repair, and after the fix, my phone wouldn't stay on for more than three minutes. I returned the next day, same tech, no clue what was wrong. They told me to leave it for three business days or take it to their Redmond store. At Redmond, the tech acknowledged that the Bothell tech messed it up. I was told it would take an hour ended up waiting 5 hours total with very little communication. I asked for them to make it right, was passed around, argued with, and finally told by the manager they wouldn't do anything. Terrible service and zero accountability. read more

I wouldn't let these guys change the batteries in my flashlight. I dropped off a new laptop along with my old one (still working fine) for a simple data transfer. They were busy and said it would be a day or so before they could start, but it would take about an hour. Two months later, they lost the power cord to the new laptop (they replaced it), couldn't figure out how to transfer the data, and erased Windows 11 from the new machine. I had to send the laptop back to Dell and have it restored. I called and visited the store no less than 15 times, always promised I would get a call within a day. Never received one follow up call. I could go on, but suffice it to say I will avoid this clown show forever read more

I paid the deposit for a battery repair and was told to bring the device in and that it'd be same day within an hour or two, but I called hours later and was told they wouldn't be able to start til after the weekend. I explained that wasn't my expectation at all since they told me the time would be within an hour or two and that I needed my phone for the weekend. So they gave my phone back and kept my deposit. I called the manager later and explained that I thought there was a misunderstanding and that I was still interested in the service and in paying them to complete the full job, I just couldn't be without my phone for the weekend. He said he'd take a look and get back to me and never did. I'd chargeback but was too busy to do it within the 60 day window for my CC. In my opinion, go elsewhere. I felt defrauded. I felt lied to, blamed for a miscommunication, and I didn't feel supported by this business. I feel swindled. The guy pointed the upgrades window on my phone and says you need an upgrade. So software fix the phone, but, this is the second time I've been to this business and had a fantastic experience. I have read the reviews before I opted for their service. My phone's charging port was damaged and I wanted to get it fixed. The lady working there told me it might take up to six hours; all I wanted was to get the phone back by the evening. But they called me in the evening and said it will only be ready by 11am next day. I showed up around 12 noon to pick it up the phone. But they just started working on it. It was a total disappointment, the technician was trying to explain that these things take time, but if that's the case they shouldn't have given an ETA as 11am. He asked me to come back by 4 to get the phone. But received a call around 2pm that it's ready for pick up. When the phone was picked up the phone, they offered a phone case and a screen protector as a compensation for their mess! The phone was fixed and I didn't see the issue anymore. They have given warranty for that work so that I can take it back if there's any issues later. I am disappointed that they didn't stick to their ETA. But they have done a good work. My laptop refused to power up or show any sort of screen. Instead, the power button light came on and the caps lock light was blinking. One Hour Device was the closest place and when I called them, I was told they could repair my laptop. I brought the laptop in on a Saturday and was told they would give me an update by the following Tuesday. When I didn't get an update on Tuesday I phoned the shop and was told they were going to charge me $99 plus tax to run a diagnostic on my laptop. I gave them permission to charge me and asked them to keep me updated. They didn't bother to update me at any time during which they kept my laptop. After having the laptop for three weeks and not being able to troubleshoot it, I decided to pick up my laptop and take it somewhere else. In the end I payed $107 dollars to have One Hour Device tell me they couldn't repair my laptop after keeping it for three weeks. Avoid these guys because I encountered incompetence from beginning to end and you will too. I ended up taking my laptop to a repair shop on University Way and they repaired it in less than ten days. read more

A pair of tweezers was all it took, and the technician sent me on my way NO CHARGE. Today I couldn't make or receive calls. I went to go get my phone screen fixed, and when I went to go pick it up, they said that there was something wrong with the motherboard because the phone was shorting. They said that they would have to have someone else look at it. When I called them, they said that it would be $70 to run a diagnostic and between $100 and $150 on top of the price of the screen to fix the motherboard. This was way too much for the cheap phone and sounded suspicious so I said no and I picked up the phone. I took it to the Apple Store and they said that only the screen was broken and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the motherboard. read more

Brought in my relatively new galaxy tablet with a cracked screen for repair. Tablet was working. They said they were going to order the screen and have it repaired in a week. Cost $200. No call back after 2 weeks. I call and they can't find out the status for a while and put me on hold forever. Another guy finally tells me that they replaced the screen but it's not working now. They're going to try something and will get back to me. No call back after another week. I have to call again and go through the same waiting with same response. We wanted to repair a gaming laptop for our kid for Christmas and we mistakenly used One Hour Device repair. We dropped off the laptop just to get a hinge replaced in early December. It was supposed to be an easy and affordable fix and easily done in a day or two. There was some apparantly miscommunication that it would be fixed in a few days and easily before Christmas, as after calling to follow up on the repair we were told a part would need to be ordered. We waited the estimated time and after calling to check on things past the fix date, we were finally told it was fixed. When we arrived to pick it up, the charging light failed to go on and the laptop refused to turn on. The technician told us it was fine just that the battery fully discharged waiting to be fixed and to plug it in overnight and it'll work. Not seeing the red light made us doubtful but we did it. We let it charge over night and since my other kid has the same laptop and charger we tried her charger with the laptop and it still wouldn't charge. We also tried this charger with her laptop and that was working fine. I called the technician and explained the issue and he said well it's your charger that's broken, laptop is fine... I explained that no it's not the charger and how we knew that. He got very curt with me and said bring it in then. I drove back over and he took laptop. I said well what's the next step. He said I'm ordering you a charger it'll be here in a few days. I said, I already told you how we know it's not the charger, it charges my other kids laptop fine. He said yes, I told you to bring in the other laptop, to which my daughter did not want us to do as she was using it and didn't trust the place with hers. I then said look, do you not believe me, should I have videoed the charger working? He said I don't believe you because you're rude on the phone and your wife (who dropped the laptop off originally is a liar because I never told her it would be fixed that quick, just an estimate. She also lied about the price. This was his exact words in front of other customers... I was stunned to say the least. so I asked for his manager or the owner. He gave me the number and I went to my car. I called the number and he gave me the number to the shop he's at, that I'm staring at in the parking lot... I went back in and told him he gave me the number to here, and he said well send an email to the address on the website or call Redmond. I called Redmond and the owner wasn't around nor a manager, so...... I went back home, promised my daughter only I would touch her laptop to show them it power on with the "broken" plug and brought it all the way back. I show this to him in front of him and he says oh yeah huh well we will fix it, leave it here and I'll call tomorrow... He calls the next day and says I have good news and bad news (I'm not kidding) which do you want? I said the good news... he said I used a higher voltage charger to kick start the battery and it's working now. I said that is good I think, he said the bad news is I broke the screen... I was like what how. He said he thinks it's a wire he broke and he will order that AND a screen to replace it if it's not that. But I can use the laptop now pulled into a monitor if I want. So we go back to grab it (my wife doesn't even want to go in anymore) and it does work, video out after 2+ weeks and the holiday is over. We wait about a week again and get a call that our wire and screen are in. We drop it off, he calls back the next day and says the wire wasn't it and the owner ordered the wrong screen size to come get it if we want while we wait for more parts... We are stunned again, and call Redmond. I do finally get a manager who is shocked at what has occurred. They offer to take over the repair and look at the laptop in the morning, we take them up on the offer. After a day or so they say they think it's a blown transistor and maybe more they'll need their motherboard person to fix it on Sunday (a few more days). They call o. Sunday and it's fixed and working. We asked exactly what was fixed/the damaged done and they promised to call us back and never did. They also promised the owner would call us back before the end of the month and that hasn't happened either. So after this huge ordeal, we don't share this lightly as we love small and local businesses but we still don't know what they broke and still never heard from the manager about how this could all happen and be treated as we were. A 3 day fix turned into a month and yeah we don't even know what was broken. I will say, that they never said they would leave it broken or anything like that but I can't think of a worse experience at a place in a long time. read more

We came out and the unfriendly person working there accosted my father in law about parking there. We hadn't ever been there before, didn't know they were even open, no one was in his terrible store and there was another open spot right there. I was told my phone would be repaired in a couple of days. It was 2-1/2 weeks. I asked for a price on 2 occasions and never got one. They told me they would have to find out how much the parts would be and let me know. I never got a call back. I had bought a new phone and had requested a data transfer. I was told I had to buy a screen for my old phone as they didn't have a screen for my specific phone in the parts drawer. With that in mind, I requested to have my old phone repaired and was told I would get it back, repaired. It came back unusable with the screen still broken. I was treated rudely by the staff when I came in to pick up the phone and was told 'don't call us, we'll call you', as I was too early for them the day they said it would be ready. One person I dealt with was kind, the others were lazy and rude. It's unfortunate that it only takes one (in this case more than one) bad attitude to create a poor experience. I'm sure the company has good intentions. There was a lot of complaints from the staff to me about being understaffed and overworked. When I called about the pricing (which there was no explanation on the invoice), I was told that the owner would call me on a Thursday when they were at the Bothell location. No call. I had told the person to please not tell me that someone would call if they wouldn't. The real kicker is - when i got my new phone (brand new in the box) back I found a lot of pictures and texts that were not mine. I assumed that someone else had brought their phone in for repair and mistakenly, files from their phone were transferred to mine. That didn't bother me too much but I thought the person that didn't get them, or lost them, would be bummed. Today I was trying to clear some files in my phone to open up storage space and came across the other person's file of images that were very disturbing, and sick - use your imagination. I couldn't believe it and I don't consider myself to be a prude. So - if you're the person that lost a bunch of photo's and videos of yourself and random women doing things that shouldn't be photographed - I got them.... You CALLED me three weeks ago saying you found a new issue with my console unrelated to what I brought it in for. You had my number. You acknowledged I sent emails, but didn't bother replying to those either. This place, like other reviewers have said, do NOT keep in contact with you. It's simply a matter of fact. If you call them to ask for an update, they clearly seem annoyed. Buddy, I just want an update, sorry to bother! This place will keep you from getting your device repaired by people who will do it quicker, cheaper, and with a much friendlier attitude too. This place, however, is an absolute joke. Don't even try to repair your iPhone broken screen here, even if it's just a broken glass - they will replace the whole screen with an aftermarket screen which the iPhone will not work with, and sell your genuine Apple part immediately. Good luck with trying to make things right with the owner - likely he will just tell his employees to ignore customer requests (even if it's a request to reverse repair). Plus they charge ~$80 more than the Genius Bar. read more

I wish there was an option to not give any stars and just write a review about THE worst experience and insult I've ever experienced in this store. First of all, BEWARE of all the reviews you see online about this business because most of these reviews were written when the workers and owner here insists customers to write positive reviews. I literally seen a worker here asking customers to leave 5 star reviews and that is how they could get more customers. I took my iPhone 6S plus and Samsung tab for repair last Sunday. The guy working here at that time was so sarcastic and disrespectful that he's not ready to answer any of my questions and not willing to help at all. I've handed over my iPhone for repair (he denied service for my Samsung tab bluntly without even opening or examining other than trying to charge for a couple of seconds). I was waiting for the repair to complete and during this time, I already felt offended because of his behavior and started to write a 1 star review. I didn't write anything though because I wanted to see how good they do the repair. When I was waiting, the business owner seemed to have called this worker guy and asked why there was a 1 star review online. Worker guy suddenly started yelling and calling my name in front of other customers saying that I can't give a 1 star review and said he cannot entertain any repairs if given a 1-star review. I had to take down my review because I wanted my phone to get repaired at that time. Finally I was waiting for my phone repair to complete and this worker guy completes the repair and tries to convince me and hand over the faulty phone which I caught there was an issue with the Touch ID. He then reopened the phone and fixed it again. He kind of tried to make a fake apology and offered a $10 discount which I refused. I would never ever go here and would never recommend this place for my friends, family, colleagues and people reading this review. I went here to fix the cracked screen on my iPhone because I had seen so many positive reviews. While the technicians are nice to work with, the outcome has been absolutely awful. In less than one year, I've had to go back 3 times and am on my fourth screen from them. Thankfully (?) the screens are warranted by them so I haven't had to pay for the additional repairs, but that is only because it's been their screens that have been faulty and the problem. They stop working, develop "ghost touch", or have color changing issues. It's so bad. Honestly, I would much preferred to have just gone to the Apple Store for a new screen in the first place. One bad screen is a lemon, but 3?? I regret not having a apple brand screen installed to begin with... read more

I thought my cell phone screen was broken & searched for a good repair shop - and found it! I was prepared to buy a new screen but the manager, Esteban, took one look and told me that was unnecessary - it was just a chipped screen protector! So, he replaced it for a few dollars and I couldn't be more pleased! While I was there, I observed Esteban helping several other customers and, in each case, he listened to. the customer and gave sound advice. In fact, one customer had been referred to him by the nearby T-Mobile store because his brand new phone - which he just bought the day before - did not work right out of the box!!! So, he examined the phone and advised the customer to head right back to that T-Mobile store and claim the phone's warranty because the phone was defective. So, I have my go-to cell phone shop and I heartily recommend this shop to all! read more
