I came into Computer and More for an iPhone screen replacement, and I deeply regret it. I was sold an aftermarket screen for $299 + tax, with the assurance that it was "exactly like the original." That was absolutely not true. Right after installation, my phone started lagging and glitching. I compared the new screen side-by-side with my husband's original iPhone screen, and the difference in color and display quality was immediately obvious -- the replacement was clearly inferior. I returned the next day asking for a refund, and the owner gave me a hard time, trying to charge me a 20% fee for his "work." I told him I'd go through my bank instead, which offers full protection. Only then did he agree to a full refund and returned my original screen. But when I got my screen back, I noticed a burn mark (see photo attached). He claimed it was just from a heat gun and would fade, but I took it to an authorized Apple service provider -- they told me the phone is now damaged beyond repair. So not only did Computer & More sell me a subpar product under false pretenses, but they also destroyed my phone in the process. This business is shady and dishonest. I would give 0 stars if I could. Avoid at all costs. ----update! I brought my phone to Apple for repair, and they informed me that the antenna was broken--something that was working perfectly before I visited this shop. The issues started after they uninstalled the aftermarket screen, the phone completely stopped working. To make matters worse, the staff member had previously straightened my bent frame so well that you couldn't even tell it was damaged. But when I went back, he bent it back again. That's incredibly shady. Before going to Apple, I even checked with another repair shop, and both places agreed that something was definitely done to my phone--likely because this shop was upset I asked for a full refund.

I bought 4 devices from this shop. But when I got home and checked, I found that one of the devices was MDM locked. MDM means the device was still tied to another person's or company's account. When I told him about it, at first he didn't agree, but eventually he admitted and agreed to deduct $200 from my next purchase. However, from January until now (October), during these 9 months, he hasn't sold me anything else, so I never got to use that $200 credit. Now, when I bought something from his brother today, I came back to claim that $200. But he said it was too long ago and refused to take responsibility. Basically, he wants to take away my $200. My advice: Stay away from this shop. Never do business or repairs with them. VERY CHEAP!

Fixed my IPhone 13 pro max, Quick and professional service.

Appointments were quick and easy. I was able to make next-day appointments with Mobile Kangaroo online. Good follow up and reminders in email and text. Drop off of the MacBooks were easy. Staff was professional, asked good questions to understand the problem, and even knew about extended warranties due to manufacturers issues. One MacBook was ready in 3 days; the other in about a week. Got a text and email to pick them up. Pickup was just as easy as the drop off. Great Apple service provider. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I tried to schedule an appointment at the Apple genius bar but they had no availability. The Apple website listed Mobile Kangaroo as an alternate source of support. I walked into the Pleasanton Mobile Kangaroo location with my father and his Mac laptop and asked the employee at the front counter if he could tell me how to change the password on a Mac computer. Rather than answering my simple question the employee rudely told me I needed to pay him $65 before he would tell me anything. I again asked if he could just point me to the right screen icon to navigate to the change password feature and he again rudely refused to tell me without a $65 payment. Then, another customer walked in and the employee dismissed me and began assisting the other customer. My father and I left the store and while sitting on a nearly sidewalk bench I figured it out on my own in just a few minutes by googling for the instructions. Had the employee been helpful we might have purchased a service agreement because the store location was convenient, but given the service they get this review instead. I do no recommend them because of the employee's attitude.

I went to another repair shop who mentioned they don't work on Acers and there are very few shops that do. They did tell me to check with Pleasanton Computer Repair though. Thank goodness I did! They were able to repair my computer for a lot less than I anticipated and finished the project quickly. My computer is working great, and Gabe even sent me a follow up email 2 weeks after he fixed my computer to check in and see if everything was working well. I highly recommend Pleasanton Computer Repair! They have great customer service, repaired my computer quickly, explained clearly what they were going to do, and provided a really great price.

Pleasanton Computer Repair is close by, so we took the computer there after speaking with them briefly on the phone. They said they will let us know in a week's time whether the computer can be repaired or not, and there are fees for diagnosing the problem. Unfortunately, a week later, no one called back. We called after a week, and they said, "Sorry, it would take a little bit longer to know whether they can get those parts." Again, nothing happened until we called about 15 days later (in the meantime, I got a cheap laptop online for my son as a replacement). These days, the kids have to rely on technology for all their schoolwork. We continued to wait and call from our side. They apologized for the delay but never followed up proactively to determine the cause of the problem. Eventually, they found the source of all the trouble and said they would order the parts from LG. Meanwhile, we had a family emergency and left the country for 15 days. Came back and still there, we have no updates on whether parts were available or not. By this time, we had given up on the computer. Then we get a call from them saying that LG does not make the parts anymore. So, finally, this place informed us two months later that nothing could be done to save our laptop. Seriously guys? You charge upfront to diagnose the issues, and we paid -- at least you should feel the moral obligation to tell the truth at the end of the long wait. Then we called LG and felt like idiots for not doing that first--LG people were surprised and confirmed that they never stop making parts. Two days later, we shipped the laptop to LG, and it was returned in a week, fully restored. I look at all these reviews and think -- either nothing major was wrong with their computers, or I can't trust Yelp anymore!
