Description Of Work:  Repaired right hinge of my Fujitsu laptop. Repaired entire rear back cover plate Repaired Front screen bezel and deep cracks on low bottom base  lip fixed and patched  Reinforced both left and right hinge support with steel plates-evenly. Installed Grill mesh in the back of laptop base free of charge Gave reasonable pricing for keyboard and solid state hard drive installation . Realigned the lock mechanism of a top laptop lead cover and removed all dust , glue and hair debris from key board frame.   I own this computer  Fujitsu  for few years . I had my laptop dropped from a Kichen table to a floor due to accident. When looking for quotes by other computer shops many reported that it would have cost $450 for just the hinge , bezel and base repair and another $50 for the front touchpad and wrist panel . And what made it worst : Is that my Fujitsu laptop was special order and had few parts inside that custom made . Luckily, Anthony ,Paul and Matt were able to do the job at an affordable price (as I had no factory warranty that covered my laptop damages) .  I had bought the Norton antivirus from big box Best Buy store that needed to be install and had them install it for a fraction of the price.  They specialize in standard and Hi - AND laptop repairs well as the custom build desktops and custom business Servers .And boy did they do an amazing job.  When I got my Fujitsu laptop back it was looked like brand new, something you would find in magazine pictures or store display only :) .   I also had work done to my operating software  of my Fujitsu laptop as it had freeze constantly as well as lost its mesh grills ( bottom of laptop base ) over the past years of heavy usage.   They also installed a new mesh grill onto my Fujitsu bottom base   free of charge. Overall, I am very pleased with CompRite Computer repair store .Final cost of everything was under $223. They are awesome! They are honest, willing to bargain a price, and they do a good job that lasts!. I will review again in a year regarding the quality of the job.  But so far so good. Side Note:  Usually other computer repair places and shops would need you to leave your computer for days this place was able to do all repairs in 24 hours. While they repair your computer   Anthony and Matt  provided me a LOANER COMPUTER with all my school home work files   Thank you so much for your help:). Extra side note: I have been using my Fujitsu laptop for the past 2 months now with no problems with the repairs. They provided life time warranty on hinge and dc jack repair job that they perform. I absolutely do not know where to begin!! I surely need to have some stock options in Comp-Rite at Sunnyside in Clackamas!! I adore everyone of the staff especially Paul. All of my visits have been mine or my families fault and there's Paul, always with a solution with a very calm demeanor. I drop in quite often, again my own fault. This team of technicians and front end staff can always fix my problem, below anyone else's price (including Apple). Whenever someone has an issue with any device I tell them where to go....Paul and his team at Comp-rite! I will always stand by this! This review has been long overdue, for that I apologize. But, then again, me and my large family continue to frequent here. They make us all feel like family. Even though I come in and there are a lot of people around, they point out to everyone by their name and device and do their utmost diligence to promptly come up with a solution. One example to how I truly appreciate and respect this team is, just recently, I purchased an Apple laptop from Offer Up for my husbands birthday. I told the person that was selling this that I would buy it ONLY if he would meet me at Comp-Rite at Sunnyside so that I could get Paul to look at it. He agreed and I continued with the feeling of total trust in this team. I got caught up in traffic and I called the store and told them I was running late. The guy got to Comp-Rite before me but he couldn't stay long. PAUL PAID THIS GUY FOR ME!! He entrusted his team to go over the laptop with a fine tooth comb and realized the guy that sold it to him erased EVERYTHING! INCLUDING THE OPERATING SYSTEM! Paul discussed this with me and said if I didn't want it, he would just absorb this laptop, no problem. He told me what had happened and that it had 'a weaker' hard drive(?) i guess? Nonetheless, I knew what he was talking about because he explained everything to me throughly. We did an upgrade and he cleaned it all up for us all for a fraction of what it would have cost me elsewhere. We have NEVER been disappointed in anything Comp-rite has done for us. Very generous and a bunch of hard working people. They will always have a special place in my home and heart read more

An Outstanding Experience at Comprite! With the last $100 I had available to spend on a phone, I knew I needed something more advanced than the basic $39-$99 Android phones at Fred Meyer. John made a couple of great recommendations, and before I knew it, I walked out with another month of service and a newer iPhone that, in my opinion, blows my old Android experience out of the water! Let's just say I'm not looking back. Between the performance, the overall user experience, and the peace of mind that comes with having knowledgeable tech support available, making the switch was an easy decision. Having a trusted friend in the computer and technology world who can answer my questions and help me navigate technical issues is worth its weight in gold. That's one less thing I have to worry about! The staff at Comprite are knowledgeable, helpful, and seem to be one or even two steps ahead of the corporate giants like Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. They take the time to understand your needs and help you find solutions that make sense for your situation and budget. I would absolutely recommend Comprite to anyone, from individual customers to small and large businesses looking for reliable products, services, and genuine technical expertise. Thank you to John and everyone at Comprite who helped me out! I truly appreciate the service and the experience. Do yourself a favor and give these guys a chance before spending more money than necessary on expensive phone plans, unnecessary upgrades, or costly insurance options from the big cellular carriers. Sometimes, the best solution isn't with the biggest company--it's with the people who actually know their stuff and care about helping you. Thanks again! Roy V. I've walked by this shop for years and often thought it's likely a front for a drug operation. People always milling about, a mysterious back room, and electronics in all states of repair stuffed into every nook and cranny. And then finally, I went in, needing to rent a computer. Where in a typical store you'd be met, asked what you need and be given a timeline and price, here you get none of that. Instead, you enter a world where business and financial transactions are secondary commerce and relationships are primary. Everything goes through Paul who, in a previous life, may have been a Don in a mafioso family. Although, in this case, a kind and benevolent one who - rather than doing everything in the name of personal profit - seems to do everything in the spirit of building relationships and helping others. And if some business happens along the way, all the better. A few examples: I saw Paul give money to one of his customers so their Mom would have 'gas money.' I saw Paul drop everything in order to help a person with a disability navigate the store. I heard Paul offer to bring the fixed electronic to the customer's house so they wouldn't have to take the bus. To enter the store is change your mindset of what a transaction has to be. This is not your typical capitalist business model. You will not enter this store and be on your way quickly or efficiently. You will however, be witness to a business model that values trust and kindness over money exchanging hands. That's not to say it doesn't - I've walked out of the store twice now highly pleased with a fix and a rental. But the real joy is not the transaction itself - it's witnessing first-hand how business can be - trustworthy and personalized with a dash of kindness. read more

I recently moved houses, and during that move, I managed to break my laptop screen. I own an Acer Aspire One Netbook, and most places said it would be better to just buy a new one than to replace the screen. Being broke, I wasn't so into that idea. I called the guys at Comprite, hoping for a quote, and I got to talk to the actual technician, which is a first for me. He told me there was a range of screen prices, and he would have to look at it before he could give me a quote. I drove out there, and was immediately helped by and extremely helpful and kind salesman. He told me about the flat rate of fixing a laptop (about $150) and said it didn't include parts. I knew that was going to run me around $300, and I was not really stoked on that. I asked if they had a refurbished laptop for less money, and then the salesman (I think his name was Emannuel) went to talk to the technician. The technician matched the screen I needed (which happened to be the most expensive one) and told me he would only charge enough labor to meet the flat rate of $150, so I got $150 for $20. 45 minutes later, my laptop was good as new. Basically, the two guys that assisted me were kind, funny, personable, and willing to hear me out and help me out. If you just talk with them about options, I'm sure you won't get "Sucked into this flat 'fat' rate thing". Believe it or not, some people are on your side and don't want to screw you over, and this is one of those places. Thanks again for the help guys! read more

I'd like to begin this with a statement. I never leave reviews because no matter how good a business is, I never care enough to leave one but this place truly deserves it. My MacBook pros battery was toast, it wasn't charging and if it did, it only got to around 6% before it stopped. It was over heating like crazy and so I decided to just tuck it away and not stress about finding a place that may try to rip me off or download viruses into my belongings etc. I realized TODAY 11/20/2025 that I would need my laptop to be working literally ASAP due to school starting soon. I got off of work at 2 and frantically looked for places around me and though there were many, this place caught my eye. I called and they said to bring it in so I did and wow. The moment I stepped through that door, I just knew I was in good hands. This place completely repaired my MacBook in just a few hours and not only did they give me a truly unbeatable price but they also had me wait and watch it charge just to make sure it was perfect. That shows that they truly care. You will not find another place like this, they have so much integrity in what they do, the best prices, the compassion, the care BUT ALSO the BEST time. Like I said it only took A FEW HOURS to fix! If you need something repaired asap or just in general and you don't like being ripped TF OFF then please for the love of god stop wasting your time and stressing out over who to call and just go here! read more

I first brought in an 9-year-old Mac desk top that I loved, but which didn't have the operating system to handle some of the new upgrades I needed for my work. People told me I would just have to buy a new computer for close to $2k to get one comparable to the one I'm used to, but instead I took it here and for around $440, they revamped it, added more storage, upgraded the operating system and added virus protection. It works much like a brand new machine. They were very patient with me because I'm not a tech person and didn't condescend to me when helping me learn simple things most more tech-savvy people know. Then a couple of months later, I decided to bring in the 15 year old MacBook Pro which I had inherited from my husband, which had stopped working over a year ago. I had been told I would just have to throw it away, and look at getting a new laptop, but these guys got it up to speed and functioning quite well for a around $400. They have been overwhelmed lately with so many people needing additional computers, families with multiple kids doing online schooling, and parents telecommuting. They are reasonable and provide lifetime support of a machine, so you can feel confident buying a used computer from them, which is so much cheaper. They are friendly and even though they are swamped they will do their best to get to your equipment as soon as they can. If you are patient it's worth a few extra days. read more

i will start with the positives. The packaging on my laptop when shipped back was amazing. They were understanding of a mistake and fixed it reasonable fast. They are very friendly. They are flexible. The negatives are lack of communication. I got my laptop screen replaced here. They were flexible and let me ship it to them because I wasn't able to come in. They didn't communicate the price until after the repair was done. They had put the wrong screen in by accident. I contacted the store to get the right screen in it. They told me I would be reimbursed for me having to ship it back, I was told there would be 20$ in the package being shipped back. It was not there. When I opened my laptop and tried to login I was told my security settings were changed and my pin was no longer available. During the phone call I had with the owner he asked for my pin so they could verify the correct screen was installed. I refused and he then said it was possible to manually remove it by un-soddering something on the motherboard. I asked him not to. I am not sure if they did or did not. But when my laptop came back my security was changed. I had also specified many times to not use fedex for shipping the package. The owner even being confirmed he would not ship using fedex. I feel untrustworthy of this business because they only followed through with parts of service, but regardless they fixed the mistake. read more

I went to Comprite on Sunnyside to have my cell phone screen repaired. I thought it would have been done while I waited in a few minutes, but apparently it takes a bit of time. I didn't know what was involved. I had my three Newfoundland dogs in the car and didn't want to wait more than a couple minutes because it was a warm day. When I told the shop keep I'd come back another day without them, he promptly got on the task and repaired my screen sooner so my dogs wouldn't have to sit out in the car. And yes..I could have sat in the shop, but I sat in my car with my dogs. All windows down and sunroof open. They were fine.. (actually I drove them around and got them a burger and then some dog treats from the pet store next door). But I thought that was awesome that they went above and beyond for me as a customer so my dogs didn't have to wait. They were very friendly, and still believe in good quality customer service. Something that is very rare these days. My phone looks and works as good as the day I bought it brand new. And they even threw in a can of air spray to keep my laptop clean. I will definitely do business with them again. In fact I know I will as soon as something happens to my laptop and the warranty expires!! Glad to know they exist! By the way, CompRite came recommended to me by a clerk at the Canby Verizon store. Good job CompRite! Double thumbs up!! read more

Like a good car mechanic, once you find a good computer technician, you stay married to that technician. I imagine all the locations are good, and I did have a good experience with the Mall 205 staff. But I faithfully go the Clackamas store, despite being an hour out of my way. I've always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful, but the owner, Paul, is my main man and he's the star. He immediately pinpoints the issue, gives you an honest breakdown of options, followed by a fair price. The turn-around is impressive, too. The longest I've waited is next day for a repair and the shortest was an hour and a half. They hold up, as I've never had a recurring issue from one of their repairs. Aside from being technically savvy, he's a good guy as well. He always recognizes me and my family, even after years between visits, and is very friendly. You don't get that arrogant and condescending tone with him or his staff, that you often get with other tech related shops. Maybe other places can boast better, but in my experience, they're as good as it gets. P.S. - I've purchased two used Apple laptops from them that run like new to this day. They appreciate return business and I've often received additional goodies for free or at discounted prices. Bottom line, I've always come away happy with no remorse. -Tim read more

I came in because my motorola g7 power battery was expanding in the phone i thought it was going to explode or something. i texted back and forth and eventually brought it in. They looked around the store at all their disposed phones for a battery match and couldnt find a match. I was able to find a battery in their carton of broken phones that matched the model i needed. It wasnt a perfect match because of the flex cable but they were able to swap that part and make it work. I paid 60 dollars for labor (sounds high but its a good price since it was same day and they tech stayed after hours to fix it) and no cost for the battery since i found the battery. They would have overnight-ed the battery if i couldnt find it, other stores would make me wait a week and a half. They also fixed it that night and didnt make me wait until next week. Granted it was about 3 hours in that store but i got the phone with a replaced battery! I would come here again if my phone broke. Just know its chaotic in there a lot of things going on at the same time and you may have to wait a while. Paul is a really good guy, but he is very ADHD and is hopping around between people constantly so be prepared for that. Id also say this is mainly a phone repair shop. They do computers as well but they are more focused on phones. read more

This is my first review on Yelp. I never heard of Yelp before but my wife's mom used them to find great restaurants in Portland and Clackamas. I was super impressed with Comprite's level of service and wanted to comment on how great service they provide. I don't know much about iPhones but what I do know is I love my Apple iPhone and I needed it fixed after I accidentally dropped it outside while putting groceries in my car. I came to Comprite in my Clackamas neighborhood also. I met Emmanual and he told me that if I can wait 45 mins, he can have my iphone screen fixed. They have a very reasonable flat fee for repairs and I had to have my Iphone screen repaired. I left it with them and did some shopping at the Safeway next door. Not only am I very pleased with their work and my cost, they also completed the job extremely quickly. I brought my Apple iPhone in around 2pm and it was completely repaired just 30 mins later on the same day. They definitely charge a fair price for excellent, excellent service. I have no complaints whatsoever for the folks who work there. All in all, I'm very pleased and will definitely return if I have any other issues with my cellphones. Highly recommended to all. Ask for Emmanual if you want great service with a smile! read more

WILL NEVER RECOMMEND, WILL NEVER RETURN. This place and its owner tried to give me a completely different phone than the one I asked AND paid to be fixed by them (With a different provider and a fake SIM card to boot). Over the course of a week, I was told "next day", "in two days", "I'll deliver it" and "come back in three hours". Paul kept trying to push another phone on me throughout the entire endeavor, starting with a note 9 with a fake SIM and ending with what I stated above. They also requested that I unlock my phone mid-repair (Which at this point the Screen was fixed and functional). In the week of them giving me the run around they; Gave me a loaner phone with a SIM card. (Did not activate) Gave me an entirely different phone(Note 10+ 5G) Gave me a foreign provider (K5, a Korean provider) with a matching SIM. Did a device transfer And, finally, TOOK THE BACK OFF OF MY BROKEN PHONE, PLACED IT ON THE FOREIGN ONE AND GAVE IT TO MY PARTNER, TELLING THEM THAT THIS WAS MY PHONE. The only reasons I had gone here instead of through Sprint is because they(Comprite)were charging me less and my partner had no issue with them when they repaired their laptop. I want to leave this at 0 stars, but yelp says I cannot. read more

All in all the staff here is great. Unfortunately I had an issue with another store so much that I called this store as it is the corporate office. I made a complaint about another store and let them know that I had just gotten ripped off at their 82nd and Foster store, and that I would be filing a police report on the employee there. They asked me to please not do that because they needed to find someone else to take his place, which sounded reasonable enough to me as they only have one person in that store. Then proceeded to tell me that they would compensate me also. So I went into this store and talked to the manager there who was nice enough to my face, but when I left there that's when the real fun started. Apparently they only wanted me to go in so they could get my license plate number to give to the employee at the other store. Who proceeded to send me nasty messages and filed a false police report on me for supposedly trying to fight him or something in the Foster store. Well needles to say that never happend and now him and his little sister who also work for Comprite have not stopped with the threatening messages. If this is how you people run your company, how the heck are you even still in business? read more

Thank you to all the wonderful people at CompRite! They not only gave me a discount on my new hard drive, but they fitted my laptop with a new battery and keyboard for free, no extra charge. I first went in to CompRite to get my iPad screen repaired. They fixed it in one day, and charged me a very fair fee. The most generosity I had received from them was when I went in to repair my bent-up 2011 HP pavilion laptop, however. I recently went in to CompRite for my hp pavilion. It was bad-and had been lying in its case for two years, long enough for me to forget all about all that needed to be fixed with it (i.e. the keyboard keys were not working, the battery had been fried, and the computer itself?-wouldn't even turn on-this is putting it lightly.)..I then decided to upgrade to a new hardrive, that would speed my computer by twelve times, and reduce boot up to a mere ten seconds, with a fifteen year warranty on that drive itself! It sounded all well and great..but it WAS expensive-but the kind manager Paul gave me a discount on it, and fitted me with a battery, and free keyboard as well-FREE..absolutely no charge. I was treated with kindness, respect and generosity..Prett-tty dang good. read more

Paul and his team at comprite in Clackamas are amazing. I brought in my iPad after the screen was completely shattered, and Paul went above and beyond to make sure I got the best possible deal and repair. Even though he was busy, with customers and work coming at him from every direction, he was calm, able to handle everything at once so casually, and still made me feel cared for. He was always responsive, picked up the phone to give me updates, and took the time to help me find the best solution. He even researched replacement screens in-store and during his own personal time outside of regular business hours. That level of dedication and care is something you don't come across often, especially in such a busy area. He also made sure a sturdy screen protector was installed on the iPad, until the new one arrived, which gave me even more peace of mind. Paul takes pride in his work, and his employees are just as exceptional and kind. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and genuinely personal. I'm so grateful for all the help and care I received, and I will definitely be coming back to Comprite for any future repair needs. God bless Paul and God bless his family and business read more

Comprite is a wonderful juxtaposition of excellent technical knowledge with friendly, honest and real customer care. Paul will meet you at the door and talk to you one on one until he understands exactly what you need, then the work goes to his excellent technicians who will work miracles for you, or do more mundane things like repalcing a smartphone screen.Paul and his team went above and beyond for me when my phone stopped charging- locking away some very important data. When I explained how important this work was for me, Paul did everything to get my data back. It wasn't easy and we had to try a number of approaches but I got my data recovered AND my phone restored for way way less than replacing my phone. The work was quite affordable. These guys are great to do business with and are just great people. They do great work at a great price and they'll treat you real nice! One more great thing about Comprite is that Paul has a great memory for people. I've had work done at Comprite 3 times over the course of about 6 years and each time I come back in, Paul immediately recognizes me and remembers the work they did for me. The guy really cares about his customers. read more

I am not very techie and always get anxious when I have computer problems. I bought my laptop about 5 years ago at Best Buy, and have had a $25 per year service agreement with them, but their service department has been closed until recently. About 3 weeks ago I developed an issue with my charging port, so took it to the CompRite on Sunnyside Rd. in Clackamas. It was fixed within a few days, they actually had an employee drive to another store in Vancouver to pick up the part instead of waiting for the part to be shipped which would have taken longer. They assured me if I had any problems to bring it back and they would take care of me. Long story short (we all agreed not sure how it happened), but I had the same issue the next day. I took my laptop back, they provided me a loaner, and completely changed out my keyboard. They did not charge me the second time, and on top of it gave me a new charger. As a single, older, non-techie woman - just like at the mechanic, it's stressful not knowing if I'm being taken advantage of. So I have found my "computer mechanic". Thank you guys at CompRite for taking such good care of me! Sincerely, Darin read more
