I took it to Wolfie who deftly disassembled the entire machine, discovered that I had the wrong keyboard, then built up a replacement with pieces from the old and new keyboards. My experience here was truly unpleasant and infuriating…read more I stopped in to the Pearl location on 4/27. My phone has a loose speaker grill and the front glass of my phone needs to be replaced, as it is so scratched that the selfie camera is unusable. First off, despite being the only customer in the store, I had to wait ~5 minutes before the clerk came out of the back room. When he finally appeared I asked about the needed repairs, and the clerk said, "Sure I can do that." Then he told me that all he could do for the speaker was squirt some superglue up into the speaker port/grille and that it "might fix the issue but usually doesn't and blocks the speaker. But that's the only thing I can do about that." So the "Sure I can do that" was just a lie. That isn't a repair, that is squirting superglue and hoping for the best. Luckily I managed to stop him before he did it without verifying that I actually wanted him to do it. He quite literally was already reaching for the glue until I said "Well, then I absolutely don't want you to do that." THEN the clerk proceeded to pull out a screen protector box, and began opening it. When I saw him get the screen protector out, I asked him, "Is that a screen protector? Because I actually need the front glass replaced." He didn't stop what he was doing, continued applying the screen protector, and just said, "That's not worth it." Despite the fact that I already explained to him that I had a VERY specific reason for requesting that the glass of the phone itself be replaced. I never requested that he apply a screen protector, in fact I tried to stop him from applying it. He didn't even ask me about the type of screen protector, and installed a matte one. Even if I wanted a screen protector, I never would have selected a matte one, nor would I have applied it on an already heavily damaged screen. And, obviously, the screen protector over the top of the scratched glass does nothing to fix the selfie camera issue. He also installed it without the typical application tool, so the screen protector was misaligned. Frankly it really felt like the clerk simply wasn't interested in doing any actual repair work, and just wanted me to leave so he could go into the back room and chill there again. He was doing anything "repair" he could, as fast as he could, so that he had an excuse to charge me for it, even though he failed to do anything I asked.

An improbable simultaneous failure of both hard drive and backup drive lost twenty-three years worth of genealogy data. I anticipated starting over, but a friend recommended MacForce. After an initial unsuccessful exam, Travis sent the drive to a data recovery service. It came back today with everything intact up to last year, so I only lost one year of work. The best was that rather than sending me home with a cheerful wave and a hard drive, Miles extracted the data I really needed and got me up and running with my old Windows/Parallels/genealogy software. Wow! Cheap at twice the price! And I certainly owe them more than chocolate bars. read more

MacForce has been a total Godsend for our business. With a small staff in a manual therapy clinic that handles a huge patient load in a strictly Mac environment, being able to effectively outsource IT problems and support to MacForce rather than wasting valuable time on ineffectively trying to resolve these issues ourselves has brought great peace of mind. How better could it be!!! We brought our iMac in because we didn't do the software updates...for years. Instead of getting a new machine Travis upgraded it and it's awesome. I had a little issue with outgoing mail and I called him and he helped me through it...with no charge and a GREAT attitude. Why would you go somewhere else? After deeming my 2009 Macbook irreparable, they went above and beyond, helping me to locate a used Macbook on craigslist, walking me through the steps of checking it out, and even transferring my data from my old computer to new one.
