Came here after I dropped my iPhone (15) and the haptics started making an awful grinding/rattling sound instead of the normal "buzz buzz". YouTube said it's common after a drop that the screws break and that results in the rattling sound. I contacted five other repair shops and no one but Fixoid said they could do the repair. Also, Reddit reviews as of 2026 HIGHLY recommend Fixoid's Vancouver location - no idea why it's rated so low on yelp Called to confirm the price and their hours. Came in around 4:30pm mid week and slapped down $100 ($110 with tax). So at first, I was very happy that I did not have to travel all the way to Portland to address my issue. The staff seemed nice, and what I was trying to get resolved didn't seem to be that large of a problem for a computer "expert". So when he seemed to have succeeded by indeed, introducing my new (new to me... It was an older "Magic Keyboard") keyboard that just had to recognize my iMac. He had to use an "adapter", his words... to get this done. I was very pleased and relieved and gladly gave him the $26 and change that he determined to be the damages. I get home and unpack the iMac and turn it on and my keyboard cannot recognize my computer! I call him and tell him my situation, and he responds with I am gonna have to get an adapter of some sort... I was aghast!!! You did this and apparently knew that it was not going to be a "fix" without said adapter and you charged me...?!!!! So I mull it over a wee bit and call them back and get another staff member. I ask if I could use the $26 as a credit to a key board that they had for sale for $89? She responds that her manager is out for the day, "off the clock", and she cannot get this question satisfied until "tomorrow". I get off the phone and travel too Portland and buy a new key board for $99... Should have done this 1st thing yesterday morning... The owner seemed very off putting and distasteful, and they tried to scam an old couple while I was there by charging them significantly above market value for basic phone services. We brought in our Xbox due to overheating and shutting off unexpectedly. After their diagnosis, we were told it needed a new motherboard, which would cost around $360, plus up to $190 for labor. We declined the repair due to the high cost and were told it would take some time to reassemble the Xbox. Two weeks later, we were informed that the Xbox was now working and had been fixed--this was surprising, especially since we had already purchased a replacement system by then. When we went to pick it up, we were not pleased with the experience. I asked the "supervisor" why they had originally told us we needed a new motherboard instead of attempting to fix it properly first. Their response was that it "took longer to get it to work," and then asked, "Why are you upset?" My response: thank you for getting it working, but it doesn't make sense that you didn't try this in the beginning. It seems like you skipped a proper diagnosis and jumped straight to recommending an expensive repair--almost like a scam to charge us for a new motherboard we didn't need. I had my iPhone fixed there only to find out later that they aren't certified with Apple so it voided any Apple warrenty on my phone. Their "repairs" ended up causing more issues with my phone including causing my battery to swell which is quite dangerous (think fire hazard). I had to replace my phone entirely. Lesson learned.... Make sure to look up Apple certified vendors on the Apple website, don't just trust what's advertised. read more

I don't usually do this but I feel compelled to do so. These guys are a joke. supposed to be professionals that don't have a clue what they are doing. I brough my old pc in to get a quote. I expected to get shafted but had no intention of selling for nothing. just curious if I was wrong. I was not. When I gave them the pc I told the kid that I had just wipped the ssd and swapped memory so it had no os and cmos probably needs to be cleared. figured I would not have to explain how to proceed with the process of checking it since this is what they do for a business..... I was wrong! After droping it off on the weekend and waiting until Monday for them to even look at it, I called Monday to see if they had an update for me and the guy proceeded to tell me that the desktop wouldnt post and it was wanting to go into recovery mode. duh! this is what happens when you switch out ram and the bios is configured to run a certain configuration. Now being irritated I asked them when I'll have an answer. 30 minutes he says. while waiting I decided this was a bad idea and started to drive to their shop. I went in and he brought my pc out and proceeded to explain to me how much a better system goes for and then how much he would give whcih was not even enough to cover the brand new gpu that i installed a week before. then he tells me that the ram, is not 8gb ram. I stopped him and told him how wrong he was. not really wanting to argue, I just wanted to leave (after thinking about it for a week or feel I need to say something). he proceeds to to pull out the ram and tries to show me the label. he points out that it says 16gb but also says 2Rx8. now, I had never looked at it before but I had used it and could confirm that it was in fact 1 stick of 16gb ram. this is what the product came with and what task manager shows, cpuz and so on. so who's wrong, the pc/programs/HP/me or him. I'll tell you who. HIM. now I know he will read this so listen up son! 2Rx8 does not have anything to do with the total gigs the ram has. Thats cleared up with the 16gb that is on the label just before the 2Rx8. This means it is DUAL RANK and NOT SINGLE RANK RAM. I've attached a few photos for viewing pleasure and possibly a learning experience for people who have no idea what they are talking about. So glad I wasn't given a real quote that I may have been happy with. my visit here was a one time deal. I've never gone to a computer repair/pawn shop before this and I will never again. I do all my own repairs. And obviously they don't have the knowledge to or credentials to be working on or buying anyone's hardware. A simple google search would have confirmed their bogus claim. they googled how much the system should cost.... So, the young men and women who work here are always friendly and professional. I have had four devices repaired or replaced through this business. No complaints on their repair work. Last time one of the young men gave me great advice: instead of replacing the battery in an older iPad, it would be more economical, he said, to just get a newer model. I appreciated that advice as I am not tech savvy. And that's what I liked about this place and what brought me back. This time, however, I brought my son's phone in for a screen replacement. (second time) It's a Samsung A15 5G. It was more expensive to get the screen replaced than to get a whole new phone. Obviously I should've done my research in advance, but I trusted these young men at the store because of my prior experience there. In reality, it probably would've been better to buy a whole new phone and get the insurance package on it. My mistake. Anyway, lesson learned. I had an older MFC printer that finally gave up the ghost and these guys were terrific with helping me walk through what we might do to save it.. In the end, it wasn't savable but they offered to help me replace and recycled the old one so I didn't have to worry about it. Will definitely keep these guys in mind for any future printer issues. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! I absolutely don't recommend this place to anyone!! I dropped off an iPad and they requested a $100 upfront charge for the labor and diagnostic. I paid with a $100 bill and the cashier held it up in the air vs making it with a pen to make sure it was real, which it was, and accepted the cash. A week and a half later my mom went in to pick it up and they told her the money I gave them was FAKE!! They wouldn't give her the iPad back unless she paid an ADDITIONAL $100 to what they fixed!! If I am being accused of giving fake money, why didn't they call me when they found out? Also, they have a policy that if you leave your device there after two weeks, they then get to keep it. So they intentionally did this so my mom HAD to pay the additional $100!! All of my cash came straight from the bank and they told me it's not their fault the bank gave me fake money. If the bank supposedly gave me a fake bill, they accepted it and now that's on them, not my fault! read more

FINAL UPDATE: Refund was eventually received. I remain unhappy with the overall outcome, but they did make good on the refund promise, hence the upgrade to 3 stars per my own promise. ORIGINAL: Took laptop in, was running at 100% disk in task manager. They kept it for several days, which wasn't a big deal, but $162 later I have it back and it's like nothing has changed. They said they did some optimization work on it, but I see no difference. I Googled what to do with a Windows 10 device running 100% disk, and the first recommendation was to run Windows Update. So I checked the device update history and found they hadn't even done this most basic fundamental first step that that everyone would know to do, last updates were from over a month ago, but there were four updates pending. Tells me all I need to know. I sent an inquiry in about a refund or other ways they might address their "rock solid customer satisfaction promise", but I'm not holding my breath. ADDENDUM: After following that first link on a Google search, I fixed it on my own. Disabling Windows Search and blocking it from running on startup totally solved my 100% disk problem, results were instant. Why did I waste $162 on Fixoid accomplishing absolutely nothing and taking days to do it, when I was able to fix it in 10 minutes with free advice easily found on the internet? If I get the refund I asked for, I will edit this review and might raise it to 3 stars for at least standing by their customer satisfaction promise. read more

I'm torn when writing this review, as the workers were kind and seemingly spent a lot of time trying to resolve my Macbook Pro's battery issue, though ultimately, I spent over $300 and am still facing the exact issue I had prior to bringing in my computer multiple times. I brought my 5-year-old Macbook Pro to Fixoid after I had noticed that its battery was draining extremely quickly when not plugged in. The Fixoid workers replaced the battery not once but twice yet this new battery is still draining to about 50% when not plugged in for roughly an hour. Over the course of a month, I was driving to and from the Fixoid shop, dropping off and picking up my computer. They rarely answer the phone, even though every time I went there, hardly any patrons were being helped. They did recommend I purchase a solid-state hard drive and then transferred files from two of my old hard drives to that new hard drive, which I very much appreciated. However, after multiple trips and phone calls to/from Fixoid, I'm back at home with the exact same battery issue feeling that I wasted $300+. read more

I was having an issue uploading my photos from my phone to my laptop so I stopped by Fixoid. Can't make an appointment. I was willing to pay just to talk to someone for options to try to fix the issue - no. The person working the counter suggested I leave my laptop AND MY PHONE so the tech could recreate the issue - and they would probably have it done in a week. Really?! I asked if anyone actually did that and then left. There are many other places to get help - Fixoid is not one of them. My friend dropped her phone and lives in the area so we came here to get the screen replaced as soon as possible. We just picked it up and it is looking brand new! When she dropped it all you can hear was notifications coming through but no image on the screen. We were sure all her data was lost. Most places charged way more than what we paid here and their turn around time was much longer. We waited in the area for about 40 minutes or so and it was all ready for us. Mark was so friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Everything is organized so nicely and you can choose any case or screen protector (that I also purchased) as an early Christmas gift for my friend. Fucking thieves! Do not trust these people. Had to return something over a year ago (this part was not their fault) and was told I could only get in store credit. I was not happy at the time, but whatever, I figured I would use it at some point. Today, I needed a new cord for laptop charger and figured I could use some of that credit, knowing they carry these. When they look up my credit, there is a "note" attached saying they did give me a credit, but then gave me the cash back. Total bullshit and this place stole $100 from me. Left me sitting in the store for 20 minutes while they were all in the back on the phone to the owner. I went home and called to talk with the owner and was left on hold for 15 minutes until I hung up and called back to be told that I have no credit.
