Took my Moto X Pure to get fixed here after asking to make sure they worked on them. I also brought a $50 replacement screen for them to use IF necessary. They charged me $90 and told me to come back in 3 days (dropped it off Saturday morning picked it up Tuesday morning) They did NOT fix this phone in ANY way, they ONLY replaced the screen with the one I gave them!!! It is still doing the same things I took to get fixed!! The screen WONT rotate, I cannot close any apps, I cannot wake it up without pushing the power button, it does NOT give me notices (texts, phone, upcoming alarm, etc) ABSOLUTE RIP OFF and NOT worth the time or effort to go here. I would take my phone ANYWHERE other than here. Added: After getting a text from the owner I changed my review. I am not thrilled with the initial encounter by any means but the owner and I have communicated and have solved/corrected the problems that I encountered. He genuinely seems to care for his clients/customers and that goes a long way in my book. I took my phone back in and they are fixing or correcting the phone no charge (they have a 60 not just 30 day warranty on labor yay!) The owner has stayed in contact with me which isnt easy as I am very deaf and phone calls are out, to make sure I am kept up to date with what is happening with my phone. Awesome job with fixing my LG G6 after I had dropped my phone in lake after a boating trip, I went to 3 different repair shops and they all told me the same thing which was "sorry water damage is no fixable" and they would try to sell me a new phone! (crazy right???) But not Fixoid those wonderful rascals! Brought our broken and seemingly irreparable iphone 5 to him this morning thinking it would be $400 and three weeks till we got it back. And by the way, we weren't going to spend the $400 but figured it would come in that high. In five seconds he said, yep $135 and 45 minutes will be as good as new. Went to Lowes to pick up some stuff for the house, came back and literally was good as new with time to spare. He was extremely professional and honored exactly what he said he was going to. There business motto " charge more, do less" Brought an iPad 7 to see if they can fix the problem that I already had it diagnosed at "Iparts and phone repair" in Gresham. The guy at iparts advised me with new updates on ITunes even if hardware is repaired, it won't work. Wanted second opinion so I brought to Fixoid. I told the lady at front desk the exact problem and error code "4013" and if they can have it fixed as I was told it not fixable. She won't give me an yes or a no but can have techs look at it. She was hurry too charge me $100 and said it will go towards the repair. While there i over heard guys in the back bragging about there motto of "charging more and doing less," to which I laughed and asked her if that's true. Later that week I get a call from a tech who said it will cost $350 to have it repaired while the iPad its self is only $300. And no the $100 won't go towards the repair and won't guarantee if it will work but $100 charge was a diagnostic charge. Don't waste your time or money here. You can get a diagnostic done at IPARTS AND PHONE REPAIR for only $25. Worth the drive and time and you get honest answer from honest techs. I needed to get to my screen replaced on my iPhone 6s. I stopped in to Fixoid and was given immediate service. All of my options were explained to me and they were able to start the repair process right away. The service took about 90 minutes. Im very happy with the quality of the screen. If I could go under a star I would. We went there a few weeks ago to get a phone screen fixed and it worked just fine for a week. However the first day we noticed that there was a bubble like thing on the screen. However only days after getting the screen replaced a large dot is in the way on the screen. We went in today to ask about getting that fixed with the warranty the screen was under. They refused to fix it with the warranty and asked us to pay 255 dollars for a new one and we wouldnt be charged labor. I brought them a laptop computer, and I had to wait almost an hour just for someone to talk to me, because there was one other customer there. When they finally got around to me, it was clear that they didn't really understand what was going on, but they assured me they would fix it. I went in with an old phone I had from years ago that had a broken screen and wouldn't turn on. I wanted to see if I could get it fixed just for the pics/videos. I brought it in and asked the guy if it could be fixed and if so how much. He went in the back room and came back out saying it was working and just needs a new screen. A new screen was $100 and they had to order it. I paid the $100 and they ordered the screen JUST because these "experts" told me the phone worked. Few days later they tell me they can't fix the phone, it doesn't work and I can't get a refund but they can give me in store credit. So I was stuck buying an old cheap iPhone for another $75, forced to spend $175 on a phone I didn't even want or need. The phone they sold me doesn't even hold a charge for one hour, it's a $175 piece of garbage. They hustled and scammed me, wouldn't even give them 1 star. read more

My laptop quit recognizing any wi-fi Sunday, I hooked up to an ethernet cable to get by. That worked for about an hour then quit. I brought computer in Monday and had it back Wednesday afternoon in fine working order. I don't know what others charge, but I thought the fee was reasonable. read more

The antivirus program I purchased from this place does not work. I had it for 2 years and repeatedly got viruses on my computer. To make things worse, the employees at this store are unprofessional and just don't know what they are doing. I uninstalled the antivirus myself and got another program. "Rock solid guarantee " is their advertisement wich is bull or I would not be writting this review. They charge $162.00 up front and did not fix a single thing, when I asked if they were really going to charge me $162.00 they said they only have a flat rate and they spent a lot of time on the computer. Is this my problem or an indication they didn't know what they were doing. The only thing they wanted to do was to do a factory reset which any idiot can perform on ther own. I'm not really the type to complain about things; I've never left a bad review ANYWHERE, but this place was absolutely awful. This was about 2 years ago. I wanted a sticker protector applied to my laptop, and I brought it in and showed it to them, and the guy I talked to initially was very nice and said it would be $10. Great! I left my laptop and the protector there. Two days later (which was one day late, but I didn't mind), it was done and I went and picked it up. When I looked in the box at home, they had applied less than half of the pieces of the protector stickers, and the pieces that WERE on were super crooked. I immediately called. At the time I was 17, and I'm a girl and I have a kinda light voice, which I've never minded, but the guy on the phone clearly didn't think I knew what I was talking about, and interrupted me so much that I could barely get a word out. He told me that I should not have expected them to put so many pieces on the laptop for so cheap, and that their time was worth more than that. He kept interrupting when I tried to tell him that they were the ones who had charged me that amount AFTER I had pulled the protector out of the box and showed it to them. I also told him, through a lot of interrupting, that the protector was ruined, since it was so crooked it was completely off the edges and bending in the creases of the laptop, and it cannot be taken off and reapplied. After a very frustrating 10 minute conversation in which I barely got a word out, I told him that I would be bringing the laptop back in to talk to them. I called my friend and she came with me, since I was feeling pretty intimidated by that point. In the store the guy from the phone was once again rude and condescending. (Later I looked it up on the website; this guy is Mark P, if youre wondering.) He told us that he would not fix the fact that they'd ruined the skin OR give a $10 refund for the service, and that to get the rest of it put on he would charge us upwards of $180. At this point I was really frustrated, and determined to not just give in. We were in there for about 45 minutes, during which one customer who was listening gave us a smile and then he left, and another came up and told us that what they were doing was ridiculous, apologized that it was happening, and then she left too. After arguing and standing there for 45 minutes, and honestly feeling like I was gonna cry, they finally ordered us a different laptop protector. I never did get a $10 refund for the service, and honestly didn't want to argue about it after all that. All in all, this was incredibly frustrating, wasted a ton of my time, and made me feel horrible. This was especially due to Mark, who contantly interruped us, wouldn't listen even when we just tried to explain what was going on, and throughout this used a tone like we were idiots. I would never go back here. If you're considering going here, know that if they make any kind of mistake, no matter how obvious, even if they damage your property, they will not fix it. And to Mark, for your sake, I hope you were just having a bad day and aren't usually like that. read more

I agreed to pay $80 to see if computer was fixable. He said yes, so I paid another $80 to have it fixed. When I got home it wouldn't work. When I took it back he said it was not fixable. Would not give my money back but would give me credit on an used computer. The first day I went in I was quoted $199 on a six year old Dell. Several days later when I was told I could get credit for my repair bill, the used computer mysteriously went up $100 to $299. It was at this point I knew they were dishonest. I was charged $350 to have my hard drive replaced. It would have cost me $200 at the apple store. The hard drive then lasted for about 6 months. It should have been under warranty so when I took it back in they told me it only had a 6 month warranty. I looked up the hard drive online and it should have had a 3 year warranty. When I went to pick up my hard drive because everything seemed very fishy to me they returned to me a hard drive with no sticker on it and forceful damage to it. I then went to best buy to have a new hard drive put in which took 5 minutes and cost me $100. They were talking about the best twenty four hour fitness to check out girls at and did not stop the conversation to help me for 5 minutes. When I was finally asked what I needed. I told him (short guy with brown hair) I need a Mac computer. All three of the guys started laughing out loud and then the sales associate said " We have an inside joke around here About that ,it's hard to explain" and proceeded to show me one MacBook that he knew nothing about. My boyfriend had work done on an iPhone 6 a few months back. He had the battery replaced since the original unit became weaker overtime and stopped holding its charge fully. The replacement battery went out within two months. The original battery was working fine besides the low battery life, but they basically broke the phone and wouldn't fix it since it had passed the 30-day warranty. Afterward, they had the audacity to try to sell us a bootlegged refurbished phone for $450 with $100 dollars of store credit for my phone they broke, so that they could fix that one a turn it around for another $300-400. Needless to say we will never go here again and will let everyone we know not to go here. After telling Apple I had tried to replace a battery in my iPhone and couldn't get it working, Apple made an appointment for me at their "Genius" bar. I drove across the river in Portland's usual bad traffic to Apple in Portland. Apple has rigid rules about not servicing a phone where there's been a failed battery replacement, so they told me I needed to take it to an independent repair shop. (Note to self: Apple makes it hard enough to change batteries on their newer phones that it's better to let a professional do it.) I found Fixoid online and called them. Normally they charge an inspection fee to see what else might be wrong. Since the phone was open, they were willing to look at it to see if it could be fixed first. The technician looked -- yes, he looked, no corporate rules telling him he couldn't do that -- and showed me where I had damaged the tiny, fragile connector, so a screen cannot be reattached. There was no charge. If Fixoid had swapped my battery in an otherwise unbroken phone, they would have charged $30, instead of Apple's $49 fee. These guys say they're the best in the business have been around for 20 years? It's all a SHAM. It's my daughters 14th birthday so I searched around for iphones in our budget. They were spendy so as I was about to walk out the guy there was also very annoying. This same guy basically followed me outside and asked what price I wanted? I told him and he agreed right away! Nice? Well.... I find out he was selling me a phone that has issues! Claimed to fix it the next day. BUT, the very next day had the same issue :( The tech tried telling me to my face he couldn't see what the issue was when the camera was shaking right then and there! What the? Refused to refund my money. Said I could do an exchange only within 7 days IF they HAPPENED to get in another phone like the one we bought.
