So when he seemed to have succeeded by indeed, introducing my new (new to me... It was an older "Magic Keyboard") keyboard that just had to recognize my iMac. He had to use an "adapter", his words... to get this done. I was very pleased and relieved and gladly gave him the $26 and change that he determined to be the damages. I get home and unpack the iMac and turn it on and my keyboard cannot recognize my computer! I call him and tell him my situation, and he responds with I am gonna have to get an adapter of some sort... I was aghast!!! You did this and apparently knew that it was not going to be a "fix" without said adapter and you charged me...?!!!! So I mull it over a wee bit and call them back and get another staff member. I ask if I could use the $26 as a credit to a key board that they had for sale for $89? She responds that her manager is out for the day, "off the clock", and she cannot get this question satisfied until "tomorrow". I walked over to Ifix never having been here before, and found the employees to be professional honest and easy to work with. The glass was ordered and although it took a bit longer to arrive, the work was done correctly. Unfortunately, the mouse USB was left at iFix and realized it hours later. When I called it was confirmed the USB was there and Lucas dropped it off at my home. What awesome customer service. Then they try to charge the full amount to fix the back camera. We refused to pay the full amount as they didn't fix the phone, but made it worse. We paid $60. Follow up to the next day: He calls my fiancé on his personal phone to tell her he lied about why the camera wasn't working. He admits to accidentally tearing the wire and that's why the camera won't work. He then offers to refund the $60 out of his pocket. When I went to pick up my phone the employee who fixed it told me everything was repaired, but when he went to check everything after repairing my phone, including the FRONT camera, the Face ID feature did not work anymore. I asked why the front camera was replaced as that was not broken. He could not explain this and told me Apple has iPhones set up to not recognize Face ID when parts are switched. I asked if this had ever happened and he said no. Weird, as they do phone repairs for business. He said he would give me a discount of $30 and charge me only $160. I paid in cash. After chatting some more he gave me back $100 more. I told him i was not upset with him but sad about the way this had happened. I left. After some googling I knew that something was not adding up. The next day I received a call from what I presume is the employees personal phone. He told me he wanted to tell me what really happened. He told me he lied to cover up what happened because he was afraid of telling the truth. During the check over of the job the screen slipped forward and tore the wire that allows Face ID to function. He told me he would refund me the additional $60.00 out of his pocket because the shop was "already losing money" and to come in the following Monday, today, 4/29. Today when I went in the employee who broke my phone was not there but the manager was. He told me he was aware of the situation and gave me the money back. He told me it was the employees personal money. The owner was not there and I have yet to hear from him since requesting to speak with him since this occurred on 4/25. I left my phone number to hopefully receive a call back. They broke my phone and will not replace it. The "solution" they offered is to order a new phone and swap the insides of my phone for this one, they quoted $200 for this. I told them I will not pay them to fix THEIR mistake and furthermore have lost all trust in their abilities and business to handle my phone. They lied and attempted to deceive me. If I had not asked questions they would have charged me the full amount and let me go on my way. I am very disappointed in how they handle business and would not recommend them to anyone. It took forever but we got it done then fast forward today 2/15/25 we check the bill and another line was added at that location the same time we added the one line. So beware you might go in for something and they will add whatever they want to your account. Then you have to go to customer care and stay on the phone for at least 45 mins to get it straightened out. Wow Great job T-Mobile.
