For the last 10 years I have taken my Imac to a tech in Vancouver WA. He does killer work and I never had a complaint about anything. Two weeks ago the 1TB hard drive he put in around 5 years ago started failing. I emailed him and he told me he was working on appointment basis only. That's okay but the combination of having to drive from Oregon to Vancouver on top of that made me think about making a change...so I did. Reluctantly, I took my Imac to iParts & Phone Repairs in Gresham OR. I turned it over to Judd, who at the time I did not know was the tech that would work on it. He was fair enough and I paid the up front 36 bucks to have it diagnosed. Well, as it turned out it was the drive. We discussed it and came up with a 1TB drive again. The way I use my iMac is I have two 500G partitions. One uses OS 10.13 and the other uses OS 10.6. The reason for the 10.6 is I have an older version of Pro Tools LE and it won't run on anything higher than 10.6 and I don't want to upgrade because there's nothing I do on Pro Tools these days that I need anymore power than PT 8.1. So I discuss all of this with Judd and I can tell he's got it. I took the computer in on a Thursday and didn't get it back until Tuesday of that next week. I was a little nervous about the time it was there...weekend and all...but I talked myself down and let iParts do their work. I got a text on Tuesday (yesterday 10-24-23) telling me my Imac was ready to go. I went and got it and when I paid the final bill, of what was supposed to be 300 bucks, Judd credited the 36 bucks I gave up front to the final bill. So I wound up paying 260.00 some bucks. Perfect. I got the Imac home and it runs like a charm. In fact it's much faster with a new, healthy drive. I am in debt to iParts and Judd for doing such a great job and being fair with the price. Quoted me 45 for a screen so I removed my own screen breaking it beyond use in the process and walked back in 10 minutes later only to have them jack the price up to $75 because the employee apparently quoted me cost. When asked for them to meet me in the middle or to offer any sort of resolution I was met with a vacant "No". Got the work done at the agreed to price - parts in stock to replace the damaged camper in my iPhone XR I don't know if this is always the case but when I took my phone in, there was only one person working. He was repairing phones, taking incoming calls, managing walk-ins, and managing the register. Because they were distracted from fixing phones by customer management , my wait time exceeded the estimate by a good amount. May have been an anomaly that the repairman was alone managing the shop the day I went in. Otherwise, good job and I will recommend and return if I need other repairs. read more

This place is great. Located right in the heart of Gresham you will this little mobile repair and retail shop. I have gotten 2 phone screens replaced here. They were able to get the job done in about 30 minutes each time. The price is reasonable and the counter person was friendly and knowledgeable about the process. Parking here can be challenging due to the small lot it shares with other businesses, but I was able to find parking each visit. They also sell used/ refurbished phones and do battery replacements. I highly recommend this shop for screen or battery replacements, they have fast and friendly service. read more

Called for a quote on an old iPod. Person refused to give me a quote and told me to buy a different one on eBay. On eBay they're running for nearly $300 now unless you want to trust buying it from an overseas buyer. Which I do not. Yet they insist I could find something online. Of course Kyle reassured me that if he could not fix the issue(s) there would be no charge. It appeared that he couldn't however if I brought in an external drive he would try to transfer the info. Kyle was, is, super Great! Love, love, love him. Took my phone (Android) in because it fell on the asphalt & cracked the plastic front. Took it to him, got an estimate, & parts would arrive in a couple of days, or overnight, but it was Memorial day weekend, so added a day. When he tried to get the back part off the phone in order to replace the front part, in the process, back part broke. So, he had to order more parts, express shipping was going to be 2-4 days, so he gave me a "loaner" phone. He covered the cost for the additional parts & gave me a 10% discount on top of that.
