This place is the best! The management at my apartment advised me to copy my apartment keys because if I lost them it was a $75 dollar charge. Due to their advice, I was under the assumption that I could easily copy these keys. I went to a number of stores, not to mention a couple of locksmiths. It was all to no avail. My management then told me that they could only issue me duplicates and that I had to pay $75 anyway!!!! Highway robbery!!!! A friend of mine referred me to Complete Security, and the took a glance at my key and copied it right away for about $4. This place is great; they were really fast and just plain old curteous!!! read more

Way overpriced, came in to get a few keys made and ran a bill over 25 dollars. The place was also impossible to find as some place in a building's basement. Would not visit again. read more

Keys copied quick and accurately. Friendly folks here as well. A little bit pricier than the hardware store as others have said, but the hardware store messed up my keys three times in a row. This place has always been perfect. Be advised they're located in the back of a garage. Easy to miss. read more

This place is great. Super friendly and efficient. Employees seem knowledgeable and responsive. One note you have to take the elevator to floor -1. I found this quite amusing as I've never seen that before. read more

Had to go several times there to duplicate a key. I understand that the key was indeed different than usual, but the guy there was too harsh when I decided to take a refund rather than come back again to fix a faulty duplicate. I must add here that I was promised a refund in case the key (which was attempted to be fixed for the fourth time) didn't work. read more

Good call Karen and Keith. While I wouldn't say the service was extra spectacular when I went, it was rather satisfactory. There was only one person ahead of me when I went in so I only spent about 10 minutes there in total. I think it only took them 2 minutes to actually make my duplicate keys. $2 for each duplicate and 35 cents for a new keyring. Great location so that you can stop in on your way to/from work. Oh, when I say location, I should say that they are located in the back of a large garage but don't let that scare you away. read more

They're friendly and fast and can stamp keys with "Do Not Duplicate"

This place rocks! I called them to get some keys made for a few lockable file cabinets in my office, and the keys were ready in half an hour. They even called me to let me know they were ready and asked if I wanted to pick them up or if I wanted to have a messenger deliver them. I opted to pick them up myself, and the key maker lady was very pleasant and helpful. I'll be my getting my keys made here from now on. read more

Thanks to Karen for her review on Complete Security. I was going crazy trying to find a locksmith in the Financial District to copy some keys and both Yahoo Local and Google Local were useless. Walked in and had my copied keys back in five minutes! read more

They make a bunch of duplicates for my apartment keys at a really cheap cost, and did it very quickly! They're my new go-to place to get anything done regarding keys. read more

This is where to go if you want keys copied in the Financial District. Fon's in Chinatown is the cheapest (less than a dollar for keys to be copied). It costs about $5 for a key to be copied, but they do a pretty standard and quick job. Plus, they're very friendly :). read more

Quick and efficient. I had a set of four keys duplicated 3x. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Everyone there is hustling.

These guys took the time to look around a bit in their inventory and on the computer to find the right key for my teeny tiny key that nobody else could (or would) copy. They also had a pretty great sense of humor through the whole process. read more

These guys are great - when trying to duplicate an impossible key for a file cabinet made by an overseas manufacturer, I had Reg from Complete come to my office to see if there was anything else that could be done. After careful inspection he saved me from the costly options he could do and offered me alternatives with outside vendors. That type of honesty and great service is impossible to come by these days - they will definitely get our repeat business! read more

These guys are great! I had a key that needed duplicating and took it to Hardware Store to have them make me a copy and they couldn't do it. They said they don't carry "Specialty" keys like that.... It was a Padlock Key.. hardly specialty. I took my key to these guys thanks to the Yelp reviews and they took a look at it and quickly made me a key that worked perfect. I will certainly be back if I need a key and will most definitely recommend them to any of my friends or customers that need a key made. read more

I really wanted to like this place, especially since it's right by my office, but the gentleman helping me was not really helpful. I gave him two keys, once silver one gold and told him I need four of each. He gave me back 8 GOLD keys. I asked him if he had silver, and he said no. That would have been nice to know BEFORE you made the keys. Then when I asked him which one was which, he told me I would have to match them up. Couldn't he have put them in separate bags instead of a wad??!! I've had keys made before at other places, so I knew if I kept my receipt and the keys didn't work, I could bring them back. I asked him about this, and he had to go check!! What??!! Nice selection of add-on items while I waited (pretty key rings and covers) but the whole experience wasn't worth the $3.50 a key I paid. I've paid a lot less and had better service elsewhere. read more

If not for the sign out on the sidewalk, I would have completely missed it. I went during lunch and was looking for something fast. Complete Security was more efficient than I expected them to be. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Exactly what I needed. read more

Good, quick and clean. It's in the basement of an office building so you need reception/security to send you down via elevator. Very courteous key ppl. read more

I went to get two keys cut and the Job was done within a minute. I have yet to see how well these keys will turn but from the reviews I'm confident they will be smooth. There was no wait and i was able to pay by card. The only minus was the price. Two keys for almost $8 is a lot. Or maybe I'm just use to Home Depot prices. read more

Got a set of duplicate keys done in less than ten minutes! It's a little hard to locate - ask at the Security desk to get directed downstairs. read more

Paris was extremely helpful and informative and helped us out with lockwork on an extremely complicated, bizarre, and specific job. He was very responsive and understanding when we needed tweaks or for them to deviate from their typical process. Day of, things didn't work out as planned and he had no trouble adjusting and relating the situation. Plus he's friendly! I will go back for any job I need in the future and advise you to, too. Other lock work companies were scared away by our project but they soldiered through. read more

Was in and out in under 5 minutes to get 2 keys copied. Very friendly. They also have a good assortment of keychain/key accessories.

In and out in 5 minutes. Awesome. It is on the lower level so check in at the lobby guard for directions.

I went to Complete Security after being turned away by 2 hardware stores who would not copy my bent key because they thought they would break it. Complete Security was able to unbend my key and make copies of it; they are totally professional and it looked like they had equipment and expertise for any kind of locksmithing work. A+ read more

5 stars for wonderful customer service and location! I came here to get a tricky mailbox key duplicated, and the team was more than willing to help with adjusting the key until it worked. The location is great for those who are located in the Financial District/SOMA and who need to get a key made quickly! read more

Hey everyone, Complete Security Inc. has moved to 60 Spear on the lower level. Once you exit the elevator make a right and it's the last door to the right. read more

Fixed a lingering issue on my badly created master key so that we could finally make clean copies after 3 other places had not been able to figure it out. Awesome work read more

This place was a rip off! They charged me $3.50 per key and did not tell me the price before copying them. Also, they do NOT copy do not duplicate keys (contrary to other reviewers below). I would just save yourself the trouble and go to Ace Hardware instead. read more

I used to love this place to duplicate keys. However, the last couple of times in 2016/2017, I felt like I got the runaround.

Needed a key duplicated and the lady spent 10 minutes trying to find a match but couldn't. She apologized and suggested how I might find the key someplace else. Great service, thanks! I will try them out if I need any keys duplicated. read more

Super quick and really great service. It's hidden in an alley as you have to enter through a garage, but conveniently located for those working in fidi/soma. read more

Closest place to get a key made in this neighborhood. I had a really unusual shaped mailbox key but they tried a few different ones and found one that worked. Since it was difficult, he told me to try it out and just bring it back if it didn't work. Very friendly and helpful. Might be expensive but I don't know...I haven't had keys made in a while. read more

Finally a place that can copy virtually any key!! I love it!

Complete Security did a great job for us--5 years ago and again today. The lock on our front door was broken and I was very uneasy about this. We called them yesterday and Frank, who I highly recommend, came out right on time today and had it fixed within 30 minutes--good as new and better than it has been in several years. I highly recommend them--very professional, polite and competent---a winning combination. read more
