Everyone was professional in the way they conducted themselves, especially the installation team who were on site for 3 solid days. And major kudos to Tom, the lead electrician on the install team. He had a can-do attitude and like a bull dog, wouldn't let go of a problem he encountered until he solved it. After the appropriate inspections by the State & County, our utility company swapped out the old meter for a new, bi-directional Net Meter, so we can send spare capacity to the grid and get a 1 for 1 energy credit for future use. Though expensive, it's so rewarding when you see your house 100% self-sufficient during the day no partly self-sufficient at night when using some of the stored energy in the battery.

Then he told us about some great programs that PSE offers that enabled us to get the Tesla batteries we weren't otherwise going to add. The people who came out to verify their diagram were professional and more than willing to answer all our questions. The installers that came out got the work done in four days and were careful about the gates (we have dogs) and cleaned up when they were done each day. (Jason, Alan and the team who climbed onto the roof) The backline/office people (Patricia, Janine, Patrick, Jon, Matt, Mike and many more I'm sure) And today we had our first power outage and were completely unaware until we saw the email from PSE that our power was back on - two hours without a blip at our house. On a daily basis via the app, watching our solar array sending power back to the grid is oddly satisfying.

Last summer, my husband and I set out to compare eight different solar installers. What we found…read morewas a mix of companies that were more interested in closing a quick sale than truly educating their customers. Many of them refused to take the time to explain how many panels the roof can set up for the ROI return in 10 yrs, the steps of the installation process, or the often‑complex HOA requirements that are so critical to get approval for the installation. We finally chose Mad Energy because of their outstanding customer service, specifically the dedication of their salesperson, Brad. From the very first visit, Brad took a hands‑on approach: he studied our energy bills, and patiently answered every question we had, whether we asked in person, by text, or over the phone. His thorough explanations helped us understand exactly how many panels would work for us and how it would impact our monthly costs. Importantly, the price point was fair, neither the cheapest nor the most expensive option on the market. The biggest challenge we faced was our HOA. Their board had imposed additional, unclear restrictions that weren't even part of the official charter. Brad produced detailed drawings, cited city regulations, and sent comprehensive emails to the HOA board, effectively educating them about the project's compliance. Thanks to his persistence and expertise, the board eventually approved our installation. The actual installation proceeded smoothly and without any surprises.

5-Star Review for Blossom Solar…read more We had our solar panels installed in May 2023, and from start to finish, Blossom Solar made the entire process stress-free and seamless for us as homeowners. Their team was professional, clear, and incredibly supportive every step of the way. After the solar panels and batteries were installed, they even offered us a substantial discount to add an EV charger, which we truly appreciated. That level of care and flexibility really stood out. What impressed us most was their outstanding customer service. Months later, when we ran into a PSE code-related fiasco, Blossom Solar stepped in and helped us navigate it and get everything resolved. That kind of follow-through says everything. Overall, I can't recommend Blossom Solar highly enough. If you're scheduling an estimate, drop my name -- they'll hook you up with a discount. Highly recommend!

It was delightful to work with Pinnacle Roofing. I virtually always dread getting home repair work…read moredone because I am pretty handy and competent in the building category myself and it is pretty often that I feel talked down to or overcharged (perhaps because I am a woman). I was looking for a way to justify putting the solar panels back on the roof when I reroofed my home because I am also an environmentalist, but the first few places I talked to were either charging so much that it seemed like a stupid financial decision and/or insisted on removing some of the solar panels due to new codes. Lenny was able to think outside the box and find a way to retrofit new technology (microinverters) that allowed me to use all the panels. I recognize that some are less efficient than others, but I already owned them so it makes more sense to have them at least contributing something. At least they are being used. He was also able to bid a tad lower than the other similar tier companies I was pricing to get the same roofing so all-in-all it was a very good deal. Lenny was prompt with communication and very helpful when a medical situation in the house required sound mitigation at an inconvenient time. The roof looks great, the panels are producing, and I'm delighted to submit a stellar recommendation. I would (and am) use them for any project anytime!

I was immediately surprised at just how much energy a solar array in Seattle could produce in winter. In 2021, after 3 summers in a row of wildfire smoke in Seattle, we made a decision to remove our chimneys and let go of the nostalgia of a wood fire. By removing two chimneys, we created space for 10 more panels, added an electric induction stove, a heat pump, and closed our account with the gas company. With net metering by Seattle City Light, various state and federal tax incentives, the entire installation has nearly paid for itself. Phone and email support from the company has always been stellar, and the technicians punctual, friendly, and efficient. Thank you Jeremy and the folx at Puget Sound Solar!
