The scheduling and installation of our system went well and the system is working as expected. The documentation was thorough. The only real disappointment I had was regarding the free system monitoring app that monitored each panel and system history. Another company took over the monitoring software and wanted to charge $10 per month for the same functionality, though leaving the ability to monitor overall system power. They put solar panels on my roof and a big smile on my face. The panels are pumping out lots of power, above the projections. Sunergy made everything easy, including the permitting process. They take perfect care of your property, communicate promptly and clearly, and they're always in a great mood and happy to help. They pre-emptively identified possible issues and dealt with them on our behalf so there were no hang ups. It went smooth as butter, a first for anyone doing work on our old and very tricky house/roof/attic. We didn't have to put any effort into things that were really our problem, not theirs (like our outside electrical panel and existing generator set up, which were comically not code compliant. Problem? No problem, they handled it.) Quite a few little above-and-beyond touches like just throwing in a small roof repair of a small preexisting problem. No extra charge for all the little extra things that took up their time: no complaints, just good natured matter-of-fact deal with it. Last week, we had a big blow here on Camano Island. Winds reached 60+mph. As a result, the entire Island along with Stanwood went dark. My house was off the grid from late Tuesday night until mid-afternoon on Friday. However, we never lost power. That is because last May, the Sunergy folks installed a Tesla Powerwall 2 battery backup system in our garage. When the grid went down, the Powerwall seamlessly kicked in. We were never without functioning lights and appliances. We had short outages before with the Powerwall (like 10 - 120 minutes long) but never this long. Last week was the acid test and the Powerwall came through like a champ! I must add that in June 2017, Sunergy installed a 24-panel Sunpower solar array on the roof of our house. It is connected to the Powerwall so that when the grid is down, the solar panels pump electricity into the Powerwall which enhances its battery life. The Powerwall is also quiet! So much better than a noisy, smelly, polluting generator. We all live in the 21st century, so why waste money on last century's technology? read more

I had Sunergy install 40 REC panels on my Seattle house last fall....i had always been interested in solar but the tech has gotten to the point where it makes sense(to me) as a longer term investment for a variety of reasons...I got bids from 3 top reviewed local companies....there is quite a process involved in that with determining how your house will do production wise and how many panels you need.....the end proposals were fairly similar using the same hardware....Sunergy was about in the middle price wise, pretty close to the lowest bid....i went with them because I felt they did the best with the design/interaction process....they actually came out to the house instead of just looking online, they were super responsive to my questions, we had a back and forth email chain with 40-50 questions or so...also they are a smaller employee owned company that has been awhile....the install process was great and the after support has been as well....i am very happy with my system that I have had up and running for about 6 months now....with any home project I would definitely recommend getting multiple bids but I would recommend synergy for sure read more

I hired Sunergy 6 years ago. Originally, they did a good job, but here are the problems I've had since the install: 1.) Leaks! There was water intrusion into the inverter!! They "fixed" it by drilling a weep hole. I don't know about you, but I'm *still* concerned about high voltage and water in the inverter! 2.) Leaks in the roof. They do not have proper on-call processes in place when their office is closed. I notified them about the leak and they were only able to get someone to the house to take a look 2 weeks later. 3.) They tried to skirt around their responsibilities to fix the actual damage in #2, and only wanted to put some caulk on the leak. Then they proposed an obviously sub-par (but cost-effective for them) solution to prey on an uninformed homeowner. 4.) They clean your panels with soap that has caused permanent stains on the panels. It has probably caused some loss of production due to this. Given my experience, I can no longer recommend Sunergy Systems. read more

I started my journey into solar by reaching out to 3 Solar installers as referenced by the Snohomish PUD website. I was honest with each of them and told them I was getting other bids but I wanted to gather as much information to make sure my system was the best. I obviously ended up going with Sunergy Systems but not before meeting with two other (not to be named) companies. These companies were professional, courteous and well trained in their field. I did not go with these companies as one was WAY over priced compared to the other two. The other company was actually less cost than Sunergy, BUT the value of what they offered did not match that of Sunergy Systems. When Chris from Sunergy showed up at my house at 5:00PM IN THE EVENING! he spent about an hour outside taking measurements, calculating roof angles and measuring the amount of Sun that my South facing roof would receive. He compiled all the information in to EASY to read comparison sheets. He proposed 4 options for system size with Payback period, all incentives, taxes, KW generation, Everything... Sunergy was the most complete proposal I received. I want to say Chris's last name but I think it violates Yelp policy, but Chris went above and beyond spending over an hour in my kitchen discussing Solar and "EVERY" facet of the process with my wife and I. He was at my house until 7:00pm explaining everything from Diodes to Federal Incentives. He was VERY low pressure, but still informative as much as I needed. Never rushed me, never lied about anything "to get the sale". Chris is part of why I went with Sunergy. Being in business I know the importance of customer service, Chris does too. The process of getting solar was easy. Sunergy handles everything. After a couple weeks of working with Chris to narrow down what system I was going to get based on current and future needs, in which Chris worked up at least 15 different proposals based on my questions, I decided on an 8.4KW Itek system. After signing the contract, the other companies played dirty and tried to negate the work that Chris and Sunergy had done by placing "doubt" in my mind, but Chris, Sunergy, and myself all came together and made it all work out and they REALLY stepped up to earn my business. I'm so glad I did. After that, I received a phone call from Melissa in their office to schedule Mike to come out and have a site visit. Melissa is great, she can answer any question administratively with the process with out having to "let me check on that"... about a week later, Mike came out and measured, rechecked Chris, and laid out the install on paper for how it was going to look on my house and function. I was very involved in that discussion and they would not have installed with out me being involved. Mike later emailed me the drawings and submitted them for approval by the applicable authorities on my behalf. Next PUD came out and double checked MIKE (that is 3 people that make sure what they are selling is accurate). They signed off and we were ready to work. It is great for piece of mind that you have 3 people tell you the exact same story so you know that your not being sold snake oil... Alan and Eric from Sunergy showed up on Thursday morning. Very professional and educated guys that were not "just here do the job". I had taken the day off and maybe I was annoying by watching all day, but they were very willing to let me "watch over their shoulder". Alan literally explained everything and how it works and Eric was the roof guy and explained his reasoning for doing stuff. They both were passionate about what they did and you could tell by the quality of work. Next, day they came back to continue electrical, followed by panels on the 3rd day. I was up and running on the 3rd install day. My meter is running backwards. I'm selling energy that I don't use back to the PUD which is lowering my bills. I know this is a long review, but in closing, I HIGHLY recommend Sunergy Systems. They are honest, reputable, trustworthy, caring, fair people. They have passion for what they do. I can't thank Chris enough for his time and dedication to my project. I told my wife last night that this besides our children, is the best decision we have made for our future and our earth. April. 12, I made a phone call to Briana talking about ownership transfer, I got several warmhearted email to explain the benefit of the ownership transfer, April.18 I paid for $219.70 for the ownership transfer and ask the warranty copy, Briana involved Melissa for providing the warranty copy; but, till now (May,31) I didn't get it, I sent several emails and every time the response comes several days later and told me I will start it soon - they just never start it, this is a piece of paper copies. Every one of the staff we dealt with, from sales to installation to office, were experienced, professional, and excellent communicators. Their excellent communication is a quality that truly sets them apart and above other companies. At each stage of the process they walked us through what to expect, scheduling, what they needed from us, etc. Then they actually did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. I feel so lucky to have come across with the Sunergy team. They take pride on being a family owned business and you can tell that they love their work. My neighbor, who also has solar panels in his house, recommended them highly and I see now why. The same person told me all about solar and the great financial incentives that are particular to the state of WA (in addition to the 30% tax credit). In my mind this is a NO BRAINIER of an investment, if you are passed the price tag and if you have decent sun exposure. It takes very basic math to figure it out and Sunergy is great at explaining if you don't. In a matter of a week after I first contact Melissa and Steve (who came to my house) I was signing a contract with them. All the timeline and milestones that the laid out for me were met. In two weeks or so, Mike can to survey our roof. Panels were ordered on time and the installation was done also as promised a month later or so. The actual installation took only 2 days, so actually 1day less than what they had originally predicted (way to go Jon and his crew!) You can really tell that they have great communication (just as a family should be!). One you talk to one of them, he/she would know what you have talked to the other one. A week after the panels were installed, Steve came to our house and delivered a nice binder with lots of information about our panel system. They call it a "Costumer Care Book". Talk about customer care and professionalism! he took the time to go over it with me. Did I mention that they were all so willing to respond questions so many times along the way? you really feel backed up by the Sunergery team. Brianna was another person who also was so patient with me. She told me that they are (and will continue) checking my energy production regularly to make sure that it is doing what they estimated. They also installed a wireless gauge that connects to the internet so I can check how much energy I use and produce at any given time in my pc/phone. This has become one of my obsessions now. I have recommended Sunergy to enyone with my eyes closed. Indeed, a couple of friends got enthusiastic and contacted them also. The folks as Sunergy exceeded our expectations in every way. Allan and Alfonso did our installation and some major electrical overhaul to get our meters, and electrical service into code and connected properly. Adam (sales and system design) was extremely helpful and kept excellent communication throughout the process. Professionalism and craftsmanship are the expectation and they certainly brought these elements to the job. But three big things stood out that we're far above my expectations. 1) Incentives - This can be dizzyingly confusing and the incentives can be in flux as the political winds blow and the technology advances. Adam took his time to explain all these incentives to me and how they may change in coming years, thereby impacting my bottom line and ROI. Other installers they provided quotes were not as diligent on this aspect. 2) System design - Adam gave me many options whick I liked, but for my roof, DC optimizers plugging into a single inverter were the clearly most efficient option that would also allow for future system expansion. Only Sunergy even mentioned this option to me while other companies did not. 3) Installation scope - As with all jobs, pitfalls and opportunities arise that must be addressed. Allan and Alfonso helped to make suggestions during the job to address key issues with my home electrical system that could be addressed easily during their work. They tackled these additional challenges very effectively, even when they fell outside the scope of their core solar installation work. They adapted and improved our system because of their immense experience with not just solar, but also home electrical work. If there was any downside, it was only that other companies did put forth less expensive designs and systems, but those systems also lacked the balanced efficiency in production that my system now has. Sunergy also provided very inexpensive options, but knew that I cared about features that came with some of the better designs and materials (features not even offered by other companies). Just wanted to follow up, system has been working very well for about 3 years now, had some follow up questions from cloud spikes (system momentarily produces electricity at a higher level when the sun exits from behind a cloud), and other questions, and the tech guy at Sunergy was more than happy to answer all my questions. Also had a minor issue with a connection that they came out and fixed no problem (didn't even need to be home) and a panel that developed a slight discoloration/crazing, which they replaced quickly (also without me having to be home), even though I'm not sure it was necessarily producing any less electricity. Watching the performance of the system over the years and the sun shadows, I think the slightly smaller system that Sunergy recommended as opposed to the competition was the right way to go, my WA State rebate this year was $4250 out of a max of $5000 so can't complain there. Definitely 5 stars for customer service, it is great to have such a knowledgeable and responsive outfit to contact when the need arises. They said they would stand by their products and installation and that is exactly what they have done. read more
