Brett Perry replaced a non-working solar inverter with a new one. He arrived when scheduled and left when the new inverter was up a running and connected to home Wi-Fi for self-monitoring. He was friendly and professional, explained what he was doing, and answered all related questions. Switch will be who I call for future solar system issues, as well as other home electrical needs. read more

The company/team overall were excellent in coordinating the job. Primary electrician Bryan, professional and punctual with good communication through the process. I, as new to this house, especially appreciated some of the particulars in my house he observed, like the attic, and other areas that can impact work. read more

Stonney was right on time, serviced and cleaned my generator, even killed and cleaned out an unknown wasp nest! Communications with Switch are fantastic, text and emails throughout the booking, service and billing process. Love these guys! They installed my generator in 2016, service it for me, and it's never failed. Great peace of mind going into the winter. Thanks Switch! read more

We rely so heavily on electricity in our home for comfort, cooking, and connections, and so decided to investigate adding an emergency generator. Switch comes recommended by COSTCO and so I called them. Their guy came and determined our home's layout would make installation of a "permanent" natural gas-powered generator, such as a Generac, impossible and a backup battery seemed cost-prohibitive. And so, I worked with them to decide on purchasing my own portable "tri-fuel" generator from COSTCO. And then Switch Electric came and, in one day, installed the appropriate connections to our natural gas line and electrical breaker box. He stayed until the generator was set up, connected, and the whole system tested. I'm MOST happy with having selected this company and MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! read more

Had an issue with one of my circuit breakers, called switch and got an appt right away, they called me to let me they had a cancellation and I could get them out in 2 hours. Jumped on it, and Carrigan showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the bad circuit breakers. All the labor was included in the cost of the visit and i had to pay for the new circuit breaker. Total cost we very reasonable. Highly recommend them. read more

We are so impressed with Switch Electric! We had a terrible encounter with a fake contractor. Therefore, I did a ton of research before picking our next person. We could not believe that Switch had five stars all across the board. Kory came out and gave us a quote and he was personable, detailed, and incredibly knowledgeable. Then the communication from the front desk was top notch. They were incredibly clear in all their emails and text messages. The quote was reasonable. Jake and Morgan came out for the installation and worked super hard. We were a little bit of a complicated case, but they made it look easy. Truly, Switch takes pride in their work, trains, their people, and extends excellent customer service. We plan to hire them for other electrical issues around the house. Thank you, Switch! read more

Our oven stopped working. Craigan, the electrician was able to quickly diagnose the problem and replaced the old mechanical load management switch to a new electronic one, which resolved the issue. He was very personable and professional, as well as timely. Our experience with Switch Electric has been great, from our original standby generator installation and follow-up maintenance, to more routine electrical issues. read more

We found Switch Electric many years ago and are so glad that we did! I figured it was high time I posted a review. They've done a number of projects for us, including installing a generator transfer switch, installing multiple outlets and circuits, wiring up our electric water heater, and running Ethernet for our home office and oudoor cameras. But the most impressive was designing and installing a solar panel system. Every interactions we've had with Switch over the years has been fantastic. They are easy to get a hold of, are professional and personable, and communicate well throughout the projects. They are not the cheapest company out there, but we always have confidence in their know-how and ability to get the job done right the first time. read more

Switch Electric is an amazing company!! The technician is always so nice and knowledgeable! I highly recommend them.

I did a solar installation with Switch in Edmonds. Switch was the last of four bids and their quote had an additional solar panel and better battery (Franklin vs. Tesla) and it was still cheaper than the second lowest bid. The install was on time and all of the crew - Cody, Tyler, Cortney, etc. were a pleasure to work with. I got a Span panel, and I recommend that with the Franklin battery. The electrical inspector said the install looked very clean. Highly recommended. Five Stars. read more

01/2025 update: Continues to be a 5-star-worthy company! Had two Switch Electric technicians come out to replace our fusebox with a more modern one that has a generator hookup in case of outages. Uniformly excellent service every time we interact with this company and its employees. I found Switch Electric by searching nearby companies and saw that they had consistently excellent reviews. Having had technicians come to work on projects around the house on several different occasions--replacing a burnt-out chandelier, installing GFCI and child-safe outlets, and improving our house's grounding--each time I experienced top-notch professionalism and care. The work was uniformly high-quality and thorough, and they fully explained the work being done and answered lots of questions to make sure I not only knew I was in good hands, but also understood my wiring situation better! read more

Control panel replacement on old Generator and just prior to that annual service. It took a nearly a month to get the replacement parts, but service was performed to get our trusted generator back in action. Tyler knows his stuff. great company to work with! smooth and efficient. would recommend for electrical work

We had them install two electric vehicle chargers. Their pricing is fair and their service has been excellent. This is the third or fourth time we've had them do work on our house, and each time they've made sure our needs are fully addressed before calling it a day. read more

I like these guys. Been using them for years. This last job took way too long because they forgot a part and then the guy who probably had notes on the job didn't finish it and they forgot the parts again, so next time I'll likely just order everything in advance. Despite that single frustration, I still like and will continue to use Switch. The owner is a good dude and always sends staff that are a pleasure to work with. I've run out of electrical work at the moment. I'll give you guys a call when I need the whole house rewired. read more

Aaron Pullen with Switch Electric was very professional for the service call. He listened to all the history details of the issue and quickly reviewed the wiring and tightened the component connections in question before doing the first test run. After verifying the issue did not reproduce on the test runs, it was concluded that his connections review likely fixed a loose connection that was causing the issue. He then gave a detailed report and answered any questions. His experience and knowledge made this job a quick painless experience for all. Matthew and StaciaAnna Shimabuku read more

Things started out really well with Tyler but then went South later. There was an electrical problem that he fixed which cost me $2,500. But there was some sort of an oil leak that he told me about and made it sound like it wasn't much of a problem. During the next power outage when I use the generator it went through a quart of oil in less than 4 hours. He then referred me to Machias Electric because he said he had too much commercial work to mess with my generator. Machias seems eager to work on the generator at first. He came out, realize the size of the generator was more than he could manage to take back to his shop, said he thought he could fix it on site would be back with some parts, and then I never heard from him again. Even after repeated, five to six times, of phone calls and text messages. So far the generator is still working electrically but with extremely poor customer service I would recommend finding someone else. read more

Started our experience with Daniel to get quotes around generators - in short he was prompt, kind, and had loads of knowledge. I'm not sure what happened to my earlier review, but it's good to update things with my latest experience. Had Dan O from Switch Electric come over to diagnose, repair, and test our backup generator. He did a great job and didn't try to upsell us on a new or larger model, even though I asked about where the industry was today and what options made sense. He had clear knowledge of the Generac product line and internals. Their cost in general may be higher than other more generic options - some which are unlicensed or not trained on these units. Totally worth it in my opinion and I also use Switch for regular maintenance. read more
