Tried for two days only to receive a message that the number was not accepting any calls. It wouldn't even allow leaving a voice mail. No message about when someone could contact them, or info that maybe closed for the holidays, etc. Just not accepting calls. Not a good way to do business. read more

Tried to schedule an appointment for a furnace repair, but this proved a long conversation and not an easy thing to do (time-wasting conversation, some of it related to his personal schedule, etc...irrelevant to a customer). We suspected there was something wrong with our Lennox furnace motor, and called Jeff based on his great reviews. He came out the next day, diagnosed the problem quickly and gave us options we appreciated, versus just suggesting to replace the furnace entirely (it's older). my heating stopped working and after a few days of burning wood for heat and trying to get an appointment for someone to come diagnose my issue, I found Jeff. he picked up my call on his way home from another job at almost 5pm, but was still willing to talk to me at length on the phone and try to run through some diagnostic steps. he even offered to stop by my house on the way home, but we ended up scheduling a visit for the next day because I didn't want him to have to crabwalk through my crawlspace after hours but Jeff gave me some things to try to diagnose the problem and eventually those steps helped me find and fix my problem. Jeff really knows his stuff and more importantly, he really cares about fixing your problem! he was genuinely patient, helpful, and enthusiastic on the phone and refused to take any payment for his time. I had an issue with a ten year-old gas furnace and called West Seattle Heating & Air. My call was promptly and politely answered by Jeff, the owner. I explained my issue and Jeff gave me several steps to try and also offered to come out and was very empathetic given my cold house and kiddos. After following Jeff's steps which helped reset my high limit switch, my heat is back on! It's awesome to have wonderful small business owners like Jeff in the West Seattle community and I look forward to dealing with him again for my next heater replacement. My moms furnace would keep lighting for 3 second and shutting off in a cycle. Instead of potentially charging me an arm and leg, Jeff quickly diagnosed the issue over the phone and spent a few minutes over the phone explaining how I could try to resolve the issue myself before scheduling a repair. Saturday evening 1/18/20 I realized our Lennox gas furnace was not putting out any heat. Sunday morning I went online to look for a a local West Seattle firm that could come out to help me. The only firm I found that would come out on Sunday and not charge a emergency fee was Jeff at West Seattle Heating. I left a message around 8:30 AM and at 12:13 PM he sent me a text that he was just leaving a job in DesMoines. He got to my house around 1:30 and by 2:00 PM he had my furnace up and running. Called mid-day on a Sunday because our furnace wouldn't kick on. They were on their way to install a furnace elsewhere but came by quick anyway. They were here for probably 15 minutes. I love this company! I hired them to fix a natural gas leak based on their reviews and they exceeded my expectations. They really are as special as everyone on Yelp says. It really is hard to find quality service in any trades like gas, plumbing, electric, etc. in Seattle. And I have worked through 3 other companies that either don't have skills or don't finish a job or don't call back or charge a lot. Jeff brings a second guy to work together, they were available on a Sunday when my gas leaked, they worked extra time because of the difficulty getting to my leak, and yet still charged a fair, and actually low price rather than an emergency price and I appreciate that. They confirmed a number of things wrong with how my house ducting was done so I know they have a high standard of quality and aren't going to butcher things to get their job done fast and out the door. The condenser on my HVAC system malfunctioned today, and so I called West Seattle Heating and Air to schedule a repair. I spoke to Jeff (the owner) and briefly described the problem. He said that it might not actually be a malfunction, but instead a normal operating procedure of a condenser for frosty mornings like today. He told me a few quick things to check/do to see if it was indeed working properly, and sure enough it was! He saved me not only the $100 or so fee from a service appointment, but also the hassle & expense of taking off a day of work. Such polite, honest service (even if it prevents the business from collecting a little $$) is a rare and welcome find. I will recommend these guys to everyone I know if they ever need service. After spending the majority of the weekend in my crawl space, unsuccessfully diagnosing and unnecessarily buying and installing a new ignitor for my broken furnace, I threw in the towel and called West Seattle Heating and Air. I was not optimistic that I would get ahold of a live person given that I was calling during the Super Bowl. To my surprise and delight, Jeff answered and took 5 minutes over the phone to understand the issue and suggest troubleshooting. I returned to the crawlspace with renewed resolve and removed the tube connecting the pressure switch to the air inducer. The tube was clear, but I stuck a thin nail into the entry point of the inducer and pushed through some gunk that had built up inside. It was a huge relief when the furnace fired up again! In five minutes, Jeff spared himself from an unnecessary visit and saved me from additional expense! I will definitely be calling Jeff the next time I have problem with my furnace. read more

Unfortunately, parts weren't available at that time of night so we had to wait one more day. Jeff is truly amazing and I can tell he enjoys his craft and seriously cares about his customers. I was having issues with my heater (no hot air blowing) and called Jeff. My 20+ year old HVAC stopped working during the coldest week in October. Jeff stopped by the day I called him (even with a packed schedule) to access the issue. While it wasn't fixable, he suggested getting a 2nd opinion but is sending me a quote to replace it. BUT in the meantime, he helped relight the pilots on my two gas fireplaces that haven't been turned on in years (we're talking dust, corrosion and difficult to access) so my family could stay warm in the interim. Jeff at West Seattle Heating and Air is simply the best! I recently needed to have a chimney relined and the gas furnace venting re-done. Jeff responded immediately and fixed everything perfectly. Not only was his work done professionally and perfectly done, his prices were extremely reasonable...and he worked on Saturday at no extra charge! When everything was done, Jeff and Jim left everything cleaner and neater than when they arrived. At the end of the job I asked Jeff if they could also do a service on the furnace.
