I did not feel rushed, or hurried and the eye exam was thorough. Apparently giving the patient their Pupil Distance (PD) is that is not part of the full diabetic eye exam that my insurance will be billed for. I worked as an Optician for 5 years and this is a little ridiculous. The Space for "PD" is even on the Rx form they give you, just not filled in. It is even part of the automatic Refractometer procedure (Where they auto read your script by having you look at into a machine that makes a farmhouse projection go crisp and blurry). I knew where to look on the readout form and it was plainly there. I chose to purchase my glasses someplace else and they wanted to charge me $15 (after a full eye exam) to do it.

The staff was very nice, however, and explained that I can exchange them for a pair I like better. I am especially impressed with Deanna and would suggest that anyone ask for her by name. :). She was nice enough to order 2 sets of frames for me in different sizes and colors and is just so sweet. She never made me feel bad and gave me all the time I needed. I picked up my new glasses today and I love them. Shout out to Star for providing great service. My friend, who had not purchased her glasses at Valley Vision, was with me and Star asked if she could assist her in any way. Star was eager and willing to adjust my friend's glasses for her. We both left happy and highly satisfied.

Matt, the team member helping me out showed exceptional customer service. He gave me a very detailed analysis of the quality of glasses that I had purchased. He was able to point out the various ways in which they should fit and how they didn't. He was able to adjust them perfectly for my face and eyes. He did not charge me for the information and the work, but requested that I told 3 people about my experience. This is the best way I could come up with to reach a large number of people. All told, I would stop going to my other optometrist, stop buying glasses online, and go to Target Optical just because of the excellent quality of service that I received at this location.

I ordered contact lenses through Target Optical and chose in-store pickup specifically because it…read morewas supposed to be faster than shipping. That is not how this went. UPS tracking confirmed my order was delivered to the store on 8/3 at 9am and signed for by someone named Jesse. I arrived around 5pm the same day to pick it up. The associate helping me at the counter, also named Jesse, could not locate my order anywhere and told me to come back another day. I do not understand how an order that arrived at 9am, and is a medical device I need to see, could not be processed and made available within the same business day. When I walked in trying to get help, an associate was sitting on their phone, so it clearly was not a staffing or time issue. Since then I have tried every channel available to get this resolved. I called customer service and went through a long phone tree only to be told the department was closed. I contacted live chat twice. In the first chat, I was told the order would be "investigated" with no real timeline, just a case number, and when I asked to speak with a supervisor, the agent ended the chat entirely without any response. In the second chat, a different agent told me chat cannot transfer to a supervisor at all and that I would need to call in. Days later, I still do not have my contacts. Tracking shows they were delivered and signed for at the store, but no one on staff or in support has been able to explain where they actually are or produce them. I have had to escalate this in writing to the company directly and file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and my vision insurance provider just to try to get a refund. If you are considering in-store pickup for a time-sensitive item like contacts, be aware that "delivered to store" does not mean the store can actually find or give you your order, and getting help when something goes wrong is extremely difficult. This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have had, and I would not rely on this store or this pickup option again.
