We have been on a hunt to find the best matcha in Orange County and this was officially stop 26 for us, so we take this pretty seriously at this point. My wife ordered the matcha latte with light ice and lavender syrup, and I went with the ube matcha latte as recommended by the barista. Overall the place itself was a very cool spot, honestly the kind of place you would want to post up at and get some work done. The decor and artwork were really different and cool to see, definitely gave the place its own personality. The staff were extremely sweet and welcoming too, made the whole visit that much better. As for the matcha themselves, they were actually pretty good. The matcha latte was nice and smooth with a very balanced taste, slightly bitter even with the added lavender but still easy to enjoy overall. Next time we are probably going to ask for light ice and maybe an extra pump of lavender or vanilla just to cut back on that bitterness a bit. As for the ube matcha, that one was very good too, though mine had way too much ice and was gone in like three sips unfortunately. The flavor of the ube came through nicely and was pretty balanced, though I would have liked a little more matcha flavor since the ube can easily take over. Overall, not bad matchas at all, though not the best we have had on this journey, but still worth a stop if you need something quick and good.

The staff are pretty helpful, and gave good recommendations as it was my first time here. I do wish they had more drink options. The Matcha-Cano is not bad and has a good matcha flavor that's not too bitter or earthy. I do wish it was a tad bit sweeter. 6/10 The Toasted Matcha (Hojicha) was also pretty good. The flavor is strong, but again I wish it was just a little sweeter. 7/10 The plain Matcha Latte was quite good, with a strong matcha flavor and a sweet, creamy milk base to balance it out. 9/10

I opted for the matcha latte with biscoff cream - honestly don't think you could go wrong with any drink. A fun take on the viral dot cake. They also offer pastries and a scrambled egg sandwich. I got the almond croissant for my toddler and my husband and I shared the scrambled egg sandwich - eggs were fluffy and the chipotle aioli gave a little extra flavor. But because I've gotten some fantastic lattes here, I'm willing to treat myself to Roosevelt Coffee once in a while. Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with pumpkin foam: 5/5, such an enjoyable and desserty drink. Pumpkin flavor and autumnal spices are balanced well with the creaminess and coffee strength. The foam wasn't needed at all, as the drink itself was plenty sweet and flavorful, but it was a fun addition. Iced Strawberry Latte: 5/5. I believe they used oat milk since it's the base for their Strawberry Matcha Latte. I definitely tasted the strawberry, but it wasn't overwhelming to the point of making the drink taste like a milk with fruit puree. Iced Strawberry Rose Latte (seasonal, spring): 3/5. More on the bland side for me, as I didn't really taste either strawberry or rose. This also wasn't as sweet as the other seasonal drinks I've ordered. I got espresso in mine, but my friend's same latte as decaf had a subtle strawberry flavor in it, which was interesting considering it didn't taste similar to mine. Iced Lavender Latte: 2/5. This was also disappointingly bland and overly milky. To my palate, it tasted like it was only slightly sweetened, and without any lavender flavor or floral essence. I wonder if a stronger-flavored syrup would make it a better latte.
