White tuna
Lizette G.

Came in around 4pm. They have a prelude menu that offers raw bar and some tapas, including tin tapas. I had a dozen of oysters, prosecco and the white tuna. The saltine crackers are out of this world. They taste homemade and super buttery. Service was great. Ambiance was great too.

Incredible brunch at Common Restaurant. All the dishes we had were delicious. The sweet potato gnocchi should not be skipped. The croquettes were also a great group starter. They have a wine room that you can tour as well if you as your server.

I really enjoyed Sunday brunch. The energy and vibe was very nice. Our server was very helpful and on point. As I noticed she was serving all the guests on the top floor. Oyster was amazing especially the pairing sauces. The food! Me and my friends was very opening minded and that was the best decision we made. I enjoy every moment.

Oyster Happy Hour 0.75c

Came in for a very late lunch which transferred over to dinner. The Gouda Grit puppies were a must eat 10/10 and Oyster Happy Hour was a nice touch as well. The transition over to dinner seemed to be rough for the staff who wanted to leave and I ended up ordering the HotHoney Glazed Short Rib which was so overpoweringly sweet I couldn't eat anything but the meat. This is coming from someone who can eat a whole box of Gushers fruit snacks with no issue. It was so sweet it actually made me nauseous. I told the server he didn't bother offering an alternative. The place was clean but would only visit if you're interested in Oysters from my experience. I did hear good things about their brunch but again.. disappointing first impressions.

My husband and I had reservations for dinner at the Common restaurant and they did not disappoint. We were seated at a cozy table and served by a friendly waiter, Michael! He was very knowledgeable about the menu items and specials for the day! The food was delicious and the drinks were great! We ordered several different items and they were delicious! All the staff were equally friendly and made our visit very special. We will come again !

My bf and I came here for brunch the other day and the thought sounded better than the actual meal unfortunately. I got the brisket and grits with a sunny side up egg and my bf got the andouille and Gouda Mac au gratin. I also got a side of sweet potato hash. My food was very mid, the brisket was cooked perfectly but the problem was it was so salty, I couldn't even taste anything else on the plate. My bf pasta was so heavy , he couldn't enjoy the food. It needed some type of cream, it seemed it dried up while baking. We ordered drinks and I got an amaretto sour with egg white and that was probably the best thing I had. My sweet potato hash was good but slightly undercooked. It was a bit crunchy. The ambience of the restaurant was tea though and our waitress was super sweet. So I'd give that a higher rating.

A1 if you are looking for a great environment and great food, look no further. It's on my top ten list of places to eat. I'm a goodie at heart. The food was top notch fresh and flavorful

Wow! My wife and I showed up just before 3pm on a Sunday, looking for some happy hour oysters and drinks and we left happy! The hostess set up a small table for us next to the bar and our server was there immediately to guide us through the drinks and food options. We ordered three dozen oysters of every make and model over the course of our time there, as well as a couple of cocktails, some tinned fish and some Miller ponys. Everyone was friendly and the food and drinks were tasty. This was just one of those perfect, laid-back, pleasant experiences that you hope to wander into every now and then. Thank you, Common.

Had a delicious meal here with my husband. The bread appetizer was great. My husband had the chefs tasting menu and loved all of it. I had the fried chicken caprese and banana pudding dessert. Service was impeccable. Nothing negative to say

I love this place so much I've been here at least 5 times and it does not disappoint. I get the same entree every time (not pictured) Hot Honey Glazed Short Rib and it is AMAZING. The upstairs seating is so comfortable and service is always great.

We came to Common for a bachelorette party of 11 and had the best experience!!! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the service was amazing the entire time. The food was delicious, unique, and came in very generous portions. Our server Dave was especially great: friendly, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, such a fun spot for a group dinner in Savannah. Would definitely come back! It was the best meal we had all weekend. They even gave us a complimentary round of champagne to celebrate the bride!

Flightless Bird

A group dinner at Common found us raiding the menu for drinks (mocktails and full proof), appetizers (the best was the freshly baked bread, and a flight of smoked oysters Rockefeller. When it came time for the mains, I had to get the "Pineapple Situation" - Thai Chili & Citrus Glazed Mahi Mahi with Pineapple Fried Rice in a grilled Pineapple Half, with Yum Yum Sauce & Charred Lime. Others got the shrimp & grits, along with a few of the evening's specials (scallops and grilled shrimp). And of course, we had to try the desserts as well. A fun environment, great for groups, this is worth a try if you're visiting Savannah.

Wonderful wine!

We dined here for our anniversary & loved it. The ambiance is chill but upscale. Service was great & sommelier was so helpful finding a great bottle of wine. I ordered the salmon for dinner & my husband got the short rib. The salmon was fantastic & wonderfully cooked. My husband liked his short rib & said the pairing of flavors was really good. Overall, highly recommend Common! We'll be back!

These are a must try if you like wings. Chicken and pancake tacos were delicious. Pancakes had a touch of sweetness. Fried chicken inside with a spicy mayo. Topped with a strawberry salsa that worked well. 3 of these were very filling. Fun and very good. Son had the double wide footlong. Topped with sloppy Joe. After that the 2 sides were different. One had fried banana peppers. The other side more classic with toppings. Son said it was really good. Others had the ahi tuna salad. Tuna was perfectly rare. Salad was good and the wasabi dressing had great flavor without being too spicy. Service was quick even though jam packed. Also very friendly.

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

The bartender working was a total 10/10 super observant, personable, and top-tier at what he does. I ordered the half club sandwich and immediately regretted not getting the full size. I didn't realize it would come out warm, and I loved every single bite. If you're hungry late at night, this is definitely the place to go for awesome food and drinks. I'm a mustard lover and use onions in almost everything that I cook at home, but when it came to this sad excuse for potato salad that was over-boiled potatoes sauced up to the max with straight French's, I resided to try to make do with my to-go order back at home by dipping my chips & sandwich in the little that I could stand of this overpowering & overpriced mess. Other than that, thanks I guess for all the extra lunch meat? I'll make another few sandwiches this upcoming week with all these extras that I pulled off & put away before taking a bite. I had been curious for a few years about this somehow popular, limited-menu place, so I decided to splurge & try it. Live & learn, right?! Also maybe don't call women "bud"?

The staff here treated us like family from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. When we arrived we were treated by kind face seated and handed a hand written note congratulating us on our anniversary. When our waiter came he took his time explaining beverages with us and specials. And then continued to answer our questions with care. You would've thought he was just our tables waiter by the way he paid attention to detail and cared about every little detail. The ambiance is the old bus station and they lean into the historic aspects of their building which I highly enjoyed. Some highlights of our meal were the jalapeno corn bread. Which may I be honest and say was the best corn bread I've ever tasted in my life? Along with the coconut curry dish I received. You can tell the dish was truly thought out and had a purpose with every bite. I loved that at the end they brought us lavender pallet cleansers. I loved these so much I started utalizing them at home. My absolute favorite of the whole evening was surprisingly our free dessert. It was almost a marshmallow flavor but crunchy. I think about them till this day! I am happy to say we will continue to spend our time together at the grey. Looking around at the tables around us nothing really caught our eye after reading the menu, we didn't want to leave since we were able to get reservations so we got some starters and shareables. There was a couple next to us who was having the same dilemma after over hearing their conversation. The kale salad was okay but a little bitter for my liking and the potato soup had a thick layer of oil on the top which looked intentional but wasn't our cup of tea. The cornbread and mashed potatoes were good but nothing crazy in our opinion to write home about. Service was okay on our end, once our waiter realized we weren't getting any main entrees it felt like he ghosted us with no water until our food came out and then never came back to check in on us until he brought the check. We are going to try to come again next time we are in town in hopes we have a better experience and different menu!
