Great experience using Command Performance at our event this weekend. We had our event in Camarillo, at the Serra Center, for the Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo's annual Bids for Kids Gala. Our event started at 5pm and Command Performance was right on time with delivery, set up and prep. I was very impressed at how quick and efficient they were and how all of their staff went above and beyond to make our event great. Their food was delicious and I hope to work with them again in the future! read more

Nothing but the BEST to say about Command Performance! I've been to multiple weddings where Command has been the caterer, and I've also dealt with them twice now (for my sister's wedding and my own). I have only the highest regard for their service and their food. While planning my sister's and my weddings, I dealt with Danny (but really anyone I interacted with there was great). He was perfect - so accommodating, extremely helpful with communication, and overall the friendliest person. Danny and his team went above and beyond what was expected (and I expected a lot to begin with), always making me feel like nothing was a problem. They did not overlook a single detail and were always extremely professional. My wedding went better than I ever could have imagined and Command's service had so much to do with that. Dozens of guests have raved to me about the delicious food and went back for seconds (we had buffet-style). I recommend Command Performance to anyone planning a wedding. You will love the food and they will make your life so much easier while you're planning! Thank you Command! read more

I can not say enough about the quality and exceptional personnel they have at Command Performance Catering. I have worked with Annette Baldwin for some years now on several projects and am always so amazed by how she makes you feel like your part of the family. Such a pleasure to do business and a must have on your list for caterers. I highly recommend that if you have not yet called on them for your next event, then you should. I guarantee you will be glad that you did. Amber Adam Operations Manager Herald Printing, Ltd. read more

Command promises that the quality of their food at their tastings will be same as at the wedding, and they completely delivered on that promise. Manny, Tina and their team were very professional and helped make planning our cocktail hour and reception easy. Not only was all the food amazing, but the servers were excellent! Very friendly and extremely attentive. We would definitely look into booking Command Performance again for other events. read more

Command Performance did an amazing job for my wedding! Food: Excellent, fresh, delicious, and well presented Setup: All on time and thorough Customer Service: Extremely flexible, professional, and always available Equipment: Excellent Service: Above our expectations! Other thoughts: bringing our own alcohol was not only cost effective, but was fun. We chose our wines though our own wine tastings, and they gave us the option of signature drinks. The bartender was totally cool and professional. The food was delicious! The Jalepino Mac and Cheese became the rave at the wedding! They went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was perfect. It was almost as if it were their own wedding.... Which is what you want on the most important day of your lives! read more

Absolutely incredible food, service and bartenders! Our guests could not stop raving about the food and dessert! The service for the bride & groom is exceptional, there is a dedicated server to just the two of you, which makes the entire night incredible because they make sure you eat and drink! They thought of every last detail to ensure that your event went smoothly and nothing was forgotten! The entire staff were very professional and the presentation of the food is Instagram worthy! We were beyond happy with working with Command Catering and would highly recommend for any event! read more

I hired Command performance for my Wedding on 09/13/14 at Malibu West Beach Club. I had been working with Joe form the start. He was on top of everything, always got back to me right away and was very accommodating with all the changes I kept making with the menu. He was honest and always gave me his personal input when asked. Since I had no experience with putting a wedding together, I relied on some of my vendors' input to have everything be as perfect as possible. C.P provided us with appetizers, buffet style dinner, gourmet coffee/tea bar, desserts, bar, bartenders and wait staff. We provided all the alcohol. Couple days prior to the wedding I found out that the table set up I had planned on was not going to work, which created a last minute almost break down for me. Joe spend a great deal of time with me over the phone the last couple of days before the wedding to adjust the tables and to make it work with less (larger) tables and keeping the seating chart the way it was. He kept reassuring me that everything will work out. Day of the wedding: The professionalism and promptness of the whole team really impressed us. The table set up was perfect, the staff was very friendly. The bartenders amazing! Their fresh lemonade was a huge hit! The way they decorated the dessert table and coffee bar was beautiful. Now to the food: BEST CATERING FOOD I have ever had. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food, desserts and the service. Seriously, Command Performance is a 5-star catering service in my book and I will 100% hire them again when I need catering. They are worth every penny!! My husband and I still talk about the food and how we wish they had a restaurant, because we want that food again :) Thank you Joe and the rest of your team for being such an important part in making our wedding perfect! read more

The only thing that saved this catering company was the food on the day of my wedding. Robert, our representative was terrible to work with. He was disorganized and made the last few days before my wedding a total nightmare by waiting until the last minute to clarify details. He was also unresponsive when I tried to call about renting equipment he requested. To add insult they served the wrong chicken dish at the wedding. I wouldn't recommend them, but you don't have much of a choice in Ventura County and they seem to dominate the catering business there. read more

Command Performance was so amazing! We had the pleasure of working with Justin and Jesus and they were always very responsive even during busy wedding season. When we had the tasting, it was great seeing the chef behind the delicious food. Everything was delicious and we wanted it all to be at our wedding. The food we chose, all our guests loved. There was something there for everyone no matter their food preferences. Additionally, the tables and linens were beautiful and matched our theme very well. We were skeptical in the beginning because mass produced food may not always hold up to standards, but man was the food amazing as if it was just made right there at the venue. We knew we chose the right people to handle our wedding food! Also, Jesus was very accommodating in what we wanted for the wedding and met our needs in every way. Cannot recommend them enough! read more

We had our wedding at Maravilla Gardens, and CPC is the vendor we had to go with, HOWEVER, we would have chosen them anyway because they were absolutely perfect. Everything from the appetizers to the cheese display to the chocolate chip cookies to the incredible jalapeno mac and cheese was just extraordinary. Robert Yamada, who was our contact at CPC, was ALWAYS on it, responsive to emails, and listened to our every annoying request. We made so many changes and he was always on top of it. The staff, bartenders, servers, and everyone involved in the process were lovely, hardworking, and professional. Everyone was raving about the food, how it was displayed, and how delicious it was. read more

My husband and I chose Command Performance Catering for our wedding. Since we both LOVE food and wanted the best for our guests, this was a huge source of concern throughout the wedding planning process. However, once we found Command Performance, we were constantly reassured that we would have excellent food and service. Trevor Fitzpatrick is absolutely wonderful to work with. He is accommodating, reassuring, and he was my only correspondent from start to finish. He truly went above and beyond for our wedding- meeting with us several times for special requests and tastings. On the night of our wedding, Trevor's presence was very comforting- I knew that we were in good hands. His staff was very friendly and made sure that all guests were comfortable, satiated, and enjoying themselves. The catering bill for your wedding is one of the more expensive checks that you will write. If you choose Command Performance, you will not be disappointed with your food or service. I hope this review helps future brides with the planning process. :) A related note: Command Performance frequently works with the rental company that we used for the wedding, A Rental Connection. They work in tandem to ensure that you will have everything you need. I highly recommend using them both. My contact at A Rental Connection was Bob Binns. read more

Trevor and his team from command performance were exceptional from the first meeting to the end of our wedding. The food was delicious and everyone raved about how tasty it was. Their servers were all very friendly and did a fantastic job setting up the linens, serving food and bar tending. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer and will definitely be using them again for any large party we throw in the future. Highly recommend! Matt and Natasha read more

CPC delivered amazing food for our wedding and everyone commented on how delicious the food was (short ribs and sea bass). People literally asked for seconds at our wedding because the food was that good!! The sea bass melted in your mouth... But the best part of CPC was hands-down working with Trevor. He's so good at his job and making sure you're happy with every detail. On our wedding day, Trevor constantly checked in on us and made sure we were taken care of. We are so thankful to have worked with him, he made our wedding great! read more

Food: amazing! Service: Outstanding! They have been doing this for so long that they have it down pat. We were in email contact with Joe working out the details for the months leading up to our wedding. Finally got to meet the man on the wedding day :) Joe was great. Calm and cool the day of. Everything went so smoothly the day of. All the staff was professional. Sandra was assigned as the person in charge of keeping us hydrated and fed during the reception an she did a great job of that! We picked out our own food for the buffet instead of going with one of the set menus. We didn't want a bbq menu at the Walnut Grove venue for the wedding. We went in and had a tasting. They suggested these amaretto cookies and we got lots of compliments on those. Their food is all so fresh. We got the most compliments on the food. At the end of the night, everything was wrapped up nicely for us to take home (the top tier of the cake was quadruple wrapped and ready for freezing if we so choose to do that and the extra cases of wine that we did not finish were ready). We had nothing to worry about. I would hire them again if we had a catered event. The only minor thing is that it was tough to set up an individual tasting. We didn't mind as much though, because they are so popular and busy. They do all the food for the Ronald Reagan library and at the time, they were doing food for an event during the Grammy's. They do about 1000 events a year. read more

Robert and his team at Command Performance did our wedding on 6/14/14 at Camarillo Ranch House. I highly recommend working with Robert if possible. My husband is more of a 'foodie' and has fun with homebrewing, so for our wedding, we wanted anything but typical "wedding food" if at all possible and were so happy we found both great food/drinks and service with Command. ABBREVIATED version PROS: Robert is very knowledge with event planning, all staff seemed courteous on our wedding day, our guests raved about the teriyaki salmon (and the food in general), price point very competitive with other caterers, tons of great menu options Bride and groom favs: braised short rib app, strawberry shortcake dessert Minor Con: keep in mind transportation/storage of alcohol prior to your event (they are unable to store your liquor for liability reasons) which was a little tricky for us since we live in the South Bay; but it can be worth the hassle of BYOB to save a little money MENU (guest count ~260): Buffet style Cocktails: strawberry mojitos, (our homebrew beer, and other common liquor/wine/beer) Apps: braised short ribs, salmon baguettes, tuna poke Entrees: carving station (very nice option for guests), teriyaki salmon Dessert: strawberry shortcake (we also had traditional cake from an outside vendor, Command handled cake cutting) DETAILS: Robert was AWESOME from the day we met him a year and a half prior to our wedding. He just happened to be at the venue setting up for a wedding and came to introduce himself as we were checking out the venue. It was really early on during the planning process and so he had a lot of helpful insight that comes from being a great captain/event planner. He does events at Maravilla Gardens regularly and so we were really hoping he could be at our venue. He promptly returned estimates for proposal requests. Of course, we got quotes from a handful of other caterers as well. We had narrowed our caterer options down to 2 (another had head chef from a highly regarded LA-based restaurant). Price points were very similar. Command Performance won out because we were totally impressed with Robert's service/knowledge and Command had SO many food options (the other caterer had a handful of selections for each course, albeit the choices were very tasty). We attended 2 'showcase' events that Command was at. Lots of chicken entrees...we took a gamble with the salmon, never having tried it before the wedding, and luckily it was spot-on! Most of our guests were Asian and so we were ecstatic once we heard that Command's head chef had trained in Hawaii and could do poke and teriyaki salmon. Supposedly she had her poke recipe featured in Sam Choy's cookbook (or cooking competition or something of that nature in the past). Our venue had gone through some administrative changes during our planning process and so the main site coordinators were new...and sometimes I didn't think the venue had helpful information and I would just trust/ask Robert instead. As it got closer to our wedding day and preparations were in full crunch-time mode, Robert was always there for us. He worked well with our wedding coordinator; and complemented her well. If we had questions, he responded promptly and always had great suggestions. Robert worked with us to make our day what we wanted and hoped for as our special day. We were entirely happy that we used Command for our wedding read more

Command Performance really helped us out as a last-second caterer for our wedding. WOW!!! Command Performance did our daughters wedding at Gerry Ranch in Camarillo. It was so good! Everything was perfect. No glitches, no issues. The wait staff did such a good job! Command Performance catered my wedding in Beverly Hills in October 2011. I was nervous hiring a caterer from out of the Beverly Hills area, but my wedding coordinator said Command Performance was her favorite caterer for value and overall deliciousness. We worked with Trevor and he was fantastic-- very accommodating and nice, and helped make sure we got everything we wanted at a great price. I got lots of compliments on our wedding food, and Command Performance was one of our easiest vendors to work with. I always felt like I was in good hands. 100% recommended! read more

We selected Command Performance Catering for our wedding in June 2016. The food was delicious and we received so many compliments from our guests. Joe was great to work with; he listened to our needs and helped us customize our menu. CPC just catered our daughters wedding and the whole experience was AWESOME! FOOD- The guests keep raving to us about the food, dreaming about the white cheddar jalapeño mac and cheese and the BBQ short ribs! The epicurean salad , roasted pepper veggies with toasted pistachio butter and pesto artichoke chicken were also a huge hit. " best food ever had at a wedding" "our table was dead quiet the first 10 minutes cause we were all devouring happily & intently!" are just a few of the comments we've gotten. The apps were wonderful: smoked salmon with caviar. Beef with puffed pastry ( forgot name) and the ahi on wonton!! I didn't taste the flatbread one. Some people missed the apps which were tray passed but I was busy talking and they may have been too and not looking. Maybe I'd recommend 1 station and less tray passed ?! ROBERT - the catering manager that we worked is a remarkable person who cares only about your wishes and make them happen. Period. What a joy to have a service industry person who actually cares about you and serves. It is obvious he Loves his job!! What a blessing he was. He was an invisible presence ensuring all was perfect and it was. He welcomed and did extra things without complaint or comment for us to help bride stick with her theme!! He even had staff unwrap our ice cream cookie sandwiches all night to display that we brought for dessert without Being asked as we felt it was too much to ask ( We'd asked for just the very first ones out to be unwrapped) He assured me the BUFFET line would be short and food warm and it was! They set it up perfectly with 2 equal, nice stations where you could serve self On two sides so FOUR lines basically!! No complaints about cold food And no Long waits and people loved getting seconds. I've been to weddings with long lines and cold food. Not with CPC. (Not a fan of sit downs because food is limited types and amounts. and often slow- likely not w/ CPC though) BARTENDERS- Miraculous. They were wonderful. Robert And venue told us we'd need only 2 with CPC bartenders For our 170 people. I was concerned since the last two weddings We'd been to this past summer had 3 and 4 bartenders ( 160 and 200 persons weddings) and the lines were quite long and people (lamely) complained. But Robert said they have it down and are efficient / & with tray passing drinks to start ... And they were right!!! We listened and didn't hire an extra bartender which was not needed as they said. We had a partial bar but with a lot of alcohol, signature drinks and wines, champ bottled beers. COFFEE- I know. Why review coffee? Cause it was BOMB! Roberts says its cinnamon added but whoever their vendor is knows great coffee beans!! And Robert & staff had no problem spiffing up the COFFEE BAR for us either! Bride got to bring baileys and kahlua too for it along with CPC's chocolate chips and cinn sticks. We also had some theme decor we wanted and he added it without issue. Thank you Robert and CPC and Kudos And Thank you to CPC CHEF!! read more

What an incredible catering company! We worked with Melanie throughout the process of picking table settings, linens and our menu. We loved her! She was great to work with. For budget reasons we decided to do a buffet rather than a plated meal and we were a little worried that the buffet would be crowded and not set up nicely. But, we were very happy with how amazing everything turned out and how well they had it organized to where there wasn't any over crowding. And ALL of the food was so delicious! We had many people compliment how incredible the food was. Our wedding was two months ago and people are still talking about the food! Also, the servers and staff were very nice and great to work with. Highly recommend Command Performance! read more

We booked Command Performance Catering just 3 weeks before our Malibu West Beach Club wedding after Truly Yours Catering abruptly went out of business. Joe took such good care of us and was very understanding of our situation. We are so happy that CPC was able to service our event, and Joe went above and beyond. The food was amazing, and we had so many guests compliment both the hors d'oeuvres and entrees. We can't thank Joe and his team enough for making our day so memorable! read more

We just had command performance cater our wedding. All I can say is that our guests could not stop raving about how "It was the best food they have EVER had at a wedding" - and I have to agree. I am sort of a food-snob (I like really wholesome and fresh food without caring about cost) and the food was out of this world! The staff was absolutely nice and professional, and the spread they put out was elaborate. Not a detail was missed with presentation and I would 100% recommend them for any event. Command Performance Catering catered my daughter's wedding. The food was delicious, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. We had many people rave about the taste of the food. We had a buffet, and it was beautifully laid out. The desserts were also beautifully displayed. The company worked with us to offer vegetarian options for appetizers, and also to accommodate gluten free guests. The pesto chicken was so tender and moist and the tri-tip was tender and flavorful! Our sides of mushroom risotto and eggplant rotini were delicious. The golden beet salad was also delicious. The breads rolls offered were exceptionally displayed. The food exceeded our expectations, and I would trust this company with future events. read more

Danny, Justin, Robert, Tina and the rest of the team at Command are amazing! We used them for our NYE wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch and everything was perfect! They were able to give us exactly what we wanted and accommodated some custom food requests (burratta bar, anyone?). They also double checked my work with the seating chart (thank goodness!) and walked me though my freak out when I realized that my RSVP tracking skills were...not perfect. The food looked beautiful and tasted even better! I have to admit that at first, I was leery of using a caterer, out of fear that the food at my wedding would be the typical, boring, chicken or fish that no one ever remembers or even cares for all that much. Most weddings I've been to, we end up grabbing junky fast food on our way home because we didn't care for our dinners! But, the day my husband and I went in to finalize our menu and pick linens, etc. Trevor was so helpful in giving us lots of options and helping us create just what we had in mind. We opted for a less traditional, more casual yet still chic fare. Trevor was able to create a comfort food buffet that felt like home but didn't look like home. He gave us great passed appetizers, and made our burger and fried chicken dinner look elegant with flower arrangements, beautiful fresh grilled vegetables, and the best jalapeno mac and cheese I've ever had! Our guests absolutely loved the non-traditional fare and still talk about the abundance of food as well as how good it was. The servers and bar staff the day of were really great, super friendly, and on top of everything. I really appreciated their help. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Command Performance to anyone! read more

This review is long overdue. CP catered our wedding a few years back and did a phenomenal job. When selecting wedding venues, we were generally skeptical of the ones that forced you to use their preferred caterer, but ended up being fortunate that was the case. On Maravilla Garden's strong "recommendation", we went with CP and everything went like clockwork. The food was amazing, service was excellent, and having the option to BYOB/liquor for them to serve saved a pretty penny. I would gladly hire them for corporate or social outings. read more

trevor from CPC was the best! he was our contact for our wedding at hartley botanica on 9.29.12 and we were extremely grateful to have such a patient and understanding point person for our big day. he even upgraded some of our menu items from the basic menu for free! for our wedding hor doeuvres, we ordered the crispy wonton wrapped shrimp with sweet and spicy sauce, bacon wrapped scallops with orange teriyaki glace, and spinach and pesto stuffed mushrooms with toasted pine nuts. they were all delicious, but i especially loved the scallops! our entrees were the carved roast sirloin with pearl onion demi glace and creamy walnut horseradish sauce, rosemary grilled chicken with wild mushroom and roasted garlic sauce, and bow tie pasta tossed with asparagus, peas, and red peppers in a parmesan cream sauce. the rosemary grilled chicken was the bigger hit surprisingly! we originally chose chicken just bc it was a "safe" choice. for sides, the grilled vegetables on cast iron grills with pistachio butter made for impressive presentation, but it was the white cheddar jalapeno mac and cheese that was the talk of the evening. so seemingly simple, but it packed a punch and our guests loved it. the red and golden beet salad, candied walnuts, and goat cheese with champagne vinaigrette was the epitome of a gourmet salad. now, im not sure if CPC's relationship with Hartley Botanica is the same as with other venues, but for our wedding at Hartley, CPC also provided the rentals (chairs, chandeliers, dance floor, etc). my only teensy weensy complaint about CPC is that things seemed a bit disorganized at times (uncertain pricing for rentals, emails sometimes unanswered). however, the food was so yummy and trevor was so nice and accommodating that those things were really minor. plus, im sure a simple call to ask trevor directly would be just as efficient as we all get behind in emails sometimes. :) read more
