My daughter got married on Valentine's Day. How perfect is that! The venue I chose to use, usually requires their own Cater Somehow I got lucky to be able to choose my own and I do not regret it. Whenever there's a wedding, there is stress around the Planning. Joe took that away. Anything I needed or wanted he was accommodating. Truly a professional. His staff was top-notch. The guests are still talking about how great the food was. It made our event go from amazing, to spectacular!!! While the food and service were very good, I was very put off that that due to this caterer being the only option we had at Maravilla, Command Performance refuses to give couples a complimentary trial tasting of dishes (to make selections for their event). I have hosted many events at clubs and venues-and a tasting is always included-in fact they WANT you to do tastings so you chose exactly what you want for your event. However-when they are the only option at a venue, Command Performance will not offer you that trial/complimentary tasting-in fact they charge $300 for the couple and $150 per person added to that. BUT-if they are one of several caterers offered at a venue-THEN they will offer free tastings to those couples. We know this, as our friends son was married at the Gerry, and Command Performance gave them a lovely complimentary tasting. And because we did not want to risk upsetting the caterer before my daughter's wedding, I did not voice how outraged I was/am by this, and waited until after the wedding. When we have another event, Command Performance will not be a vendor we will consider. read more

Jesus was able to provide us with even more menu options than we originally thought came with our wedding package, so we were able to create the perfect menu. We hired this company for our wedding at Eden Gardens. The food and presentation were excellent, and the serving staff, bartenders, and Justin were all professional, kind, and attentive. Unfortunately, our experience working with Jesus was very disappointing. He displayed poor communication, an unprofessional attitude, and made an inappropriate comment on the day of the wedding to my husband and I that triggered us. My mother hired them this past weekend for our Christmas family dinner and party. They came while we left to go get family photos done- and they set up and prepped all the food while this was happening, we came back and they had a beautiful setup In the backyard and the food..... the food is freakin amazing!!!!! All of it!! The mashed potatoes were out of this world, braised short ribs and stuffed Tuscan chicken along with carved turkey. They have homemade focaccia bread and it is sooooo good. I work at a private school where I organize special events for our board of directors. A colleague in our fundraising office recommended I use Command Performance for a recent dinner hosted at a private home. I worked with Joe Thies, Sales and Events Manager, and have nothing but praise for him and his team. He put together a thoughtful menu and then met with me a week before the dinner to walk through the home. He is a kind guy, very professional and understanding, so our meeting assured me that I was in good hands. On the day of the event, Joe and his team arrived on time and were ready to go before the dinner started. Everyone was a true professional and came dressed in matching outfits. The servers and bartender were hospitable and friendly. (Also, the bartender, Andrew, runs the drink program at M on High in Moorpark, so you know he knows how to make fantastic drinks!) The chef prepared fantastic food - my guests were so impressed! Most impressive was how clean they left the kitchen. You'd never know it had been used. We worked with Manuel and the CP Team to cater my Mom's Celebration of Life in early February 2024. The CP Team had a wide and vast menu of salads, sandwiches, and desserts for this event, where we estimated about 50-60 people were there. CP is the official caterer of my church, Padre Serra Parish, and they are aware of all of the rules, regulations, and respect our parish. Think twice before booking their services! We had our wedding cancelled due to Covid restrictions and these people stole our $1000 deposit and refuse to have any reasonable conversation on how we can get it back. They keep pointing us back to our wedding venue, while the wedding venue keeps pointing us back at Command Performance Catering. To say we have been getting the runaround is an understatement. The wedding venue (Hartley Botanica) has already been ordered by a judge to refund all deposits, due to impossibly of performance, which they reluctantly are refunding. We had absolutely no services rendered by Command Performance - no tastings or prep was done. They refuse to even give us the amount we paid in food, which we thought was a reasonable request. I DO NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone! Very unprofessional and no empathy for us! We are just another customer that they can check off the list. read more

We had so much fun at the wedding showcase picking out the food, and it was very helpful with making our final selections. The day of our wedding, our guests absolutely raved about the food!! Our venue only allows Command to service the venue (Maravilla) and we were a bit worried that since we didn't get to chose our caterer, it was a toss up on how the food would be, but they absolutely crushed it! Keith was not only on top of everything, but he was incredibly creative and willing to try things out so that our food and drink menu were tailored specifically to us as a couple. He was able to have the bar perfectly mimic my favorite drink for a restaurant in Malibu and make my dream come true - a bread bar during cocktail hour. Pablo and his team executed perfectly exactly what we had planned for our wedding. We were a little unsure about doing an Indian menu with an all-purpose catering company deep in the valley but the tasting appointment completely set our unfounded concerns to rest - the food was on point and Pablo was super attentive and helpful as we went through the food and rentals. It was sometimes a little hard going back and forth via email, but the event itself was so good that tons of guests praised the food at our wedding specifically. We also went with their partner company, Brick and Brass, for bar catering. We worked with Pablo and CPC through Hartley Botanica. The food was incredible. We got married on 11/11 and the guests are still talking about our appetizers and dinner. Everything was so tasty which is what I always worried about with wedding food. What we really loved was how easy it was because it's a one stop shop. The attention to detail really made things great. The buffet was laid out beautifully. They provide a refreshment table for guests before the ceremony and the big hit was the coffee station at the reception! The guests LOVED that the coffee was available from the start of the reception and that they provided cookies! We got our rentals from them as well and the whole reception looked perfect. It was simply delicious, the salads were actually cold and the hot food, such as Mac-n-cheese, potatoes, chicken with a yummy sauce and tri-tip was hot! One of the biggest fears I had is that my guests left unhappy with the food provided at our wedding. I can assure you, that for our wedding at the Hartley Botanica (also a fantastic location) we heard from all the guests how good the appetizers and the food was, including the waiters and the attentiveness of the staff there. We chose the buffet option as we wanted our guests to get up and interact with each other, and have the option to explore the beautiful venue as well. I can reassure you, all of our guests said that the food was one of the best they've ever had. I was initially worried about the fact that Command and Hartley have a very exclusive relationship, but I can reassure you, if I were to pick between different caterers, despite the exclusivity of Command and Hartley, you absolutely cannot go wrong. The staff are fantastic, the food is hot and delicious, and my only regret as the groom is that I didn't have more time to enjoy the buffet we provided our guests. The caterer at our wedding venue was Command Performance Catering. Fortunately, my husband and I had attended two weddings in the past who used CPC, so we knew the food would be amazing. CPC did not let us down. We booked our wedding venue at a time when it had just been renovated, so we got a great deal on our catering package. Since we booked the package in 2009, the prices have increased dramatically. Also, CPC pricing at other venues in the area is a lot more expensive. Luckily, we booked at the perfect time. We paid for most of our wedding and were pleased with the quality of food. Also, CPC supplied bartenders for our wedding. We provided the alcohol. The downside of CPC is that they did not offer a private food tasting to us because they provided a tasting at our venue's annual showcase. Given we had their food at two weddings in the past, it was not the end of the world to us. However, my parents would have liked to sample the food we chose before the wedding. We were all able to attend the annual showcase, but CPC chose to provide food that was on the higher end of their menu with regard to pricing. We were disappointed that they did not serve a larger variety of food at the showcase. Additionally, CPC would not accept our credit card as a form of payment, so we had to write them a check shortly before our wedding day. We were hoping to use our credit card to earn points, so we were disappointed with that as well. Despite a few disappointments, my husband and I were pleased with CPC overall. The pricing was more affordable than any other site's caterer that I researched in the area, and the service on our wedding day was exceptional. After the ceremony, CPC staff made sure to approach our bridal party with a tray of drinks and appetizers. Our guests raved about the food, and although we only got a few bites during the reception, CPC made sure to pack us a doggy bag to take home and enjoy when the wedding ended. We ate the leftovers the next day, and they were delicious. We highly recommend Command Performance Catering for any occasion! read more

I loved these guys. The rep (Trevor) I had was patient, organized, friendly and very helpful. I had a great experience tasting their food at an open house for Hartley Botanica in Somis and could not wait to have their food at the wedding. They got everything I asked for on the menu and had no problems making substitutions for the wedding or rehearsal food. The hors d'oeuvres passed around were awesome and their staff was friendly. My wife and I used Command Performance for our wedding at Camarillo Ranch House. The food was excellent, we did the buffet style. Multiple guests told us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Manuel was great to work with. The few reasons we give them four stars instead of five are: 1. We asked the staff to serve the buffet guests because of COVID and when we looked over everyone was serving themselves. 2. Command Performance told us if we tipped the bartender they would not put a tip jar out which we wanted and agreed to. However a tip jar was still put out. 3. We warned them we had a young guest crowd and lots of people would be at the bar and did not want a line. We were told we needed over 150 guests to have two bartenders which we did not have. We ended up having a line the whole time and they had to pull another server to help. Overall it was a great experience and we would recommend! read more

We threw them for a loop by hiring a comedian but they setup this awesome stage and really knocked everything out of the park. Food was amazing, the DJ was on a roll and the bartenders made my wife and I this special lemonade drink that we ended up drinking all night and is now "our drink." I can't imagine a better wedding than what CPC put on for us. The food was good for our wedding but leading up to the wedding there was zero communication with us to check in after our meeting to look at dinnerware and get the food lists. We decided at the last minute without any guidance. We chose items from the list we were given and based off of the showcase. We chose the chicken piccata based on the description. My husband is gluten free and we had specified in our details about allergies. We didn't find out until we were served that it had gluten in it!!? My dish was wrong as well..served chicken when I am pescatarian...details were very much missed. They only served the sheet cake to our guests and no one served the two tier wedding cake after we cut it to anyone. We wanted close family to at least be served!
