I cannot recommend Bites & Bashes enough! This was a catered event for donors and special guests. It was a pleasure coordinating with Katie and Mariah. Quick responses and seamless customer service. Ordered for 100 guests and we were impressed by the amount of food received; there was more than enough to feed our additional last-minute guests we hadn't included in the original headcount. Everything was so light & colorful and tasted just as delicious as it looked. Appreciated the beautiful floral touches to the platters. We got the seasonal fruit platter, assorted viennoiseries, chia pudding, yogurt parfaits and coffee/tea. Per Katie's recommendation we added cookies--which were a huge hit with guests (and staff)! The menu was curated for dairy free/GF/vegan options. The delivery with Ramon went smoothly: right on time, clear communication via text and help with the set up. The whole Bites & Bashes team did such a professional job. You won't regret working with this family-owned business! read more

Bites and Bashes was one of the easiest decisions I made during wedding planning, especially as someone who DIYed our entire wedding! From the menu options to working directly with Mariah, who patiently answered my hundred questions and was so accommodating with all the little tweaks I made to our order, to the delivery and presentation, everything turned out so wonderfully. And, most importantly, our guests LOVED the food! We went with the Mexican menu, along with some appetizers and the Gochujang tofu. My only regret is that I didn't order more of the tofu! We had a few vegetarians in attendance, but EVERYONE was eating it. My husband and I served ourselves last, so by the time we made it to the buffet, there was barely any left. Honestly, though, I think that says everything about how much our guests loved the food! It just gives us an excuse to host another big party so we can have Bites and Bashes cater again. I truly can't recommend them enough. Everyone we worked with was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, and the entire experience was wonderful from beginning to end. JUST WOW! Thank you, Bites and Bashes, for helping make our wedding day so delicious and special! 5 stars isn't enough of a high rating. read more

We had Bites and Bashes cater our house party and were so impressed with the quality of food, setup and customer service. Their team was efficient, personable and even spoke Japanese (we had mentioned this was a Japanese college alumni party). They were incredible to work with and all of our guests had a great experience. We ordered the Spanish Dinner with Paella and had pass around appetizers as well with glass noodles, spicy tuna with cucumber, sliders and coconut shrimp. Everything was delicious with not a single miss!! Highly recommend them for any level of catering as they created gorgeous displays, had amazing food and an efficient professional setup in our kitchen. Thank you so much for everything!! read more

We used them for my big 5-0 birthday party in San Gabriel. We needed the food to be exceptional, fresh, plentiful, and beautiful. I have over 100 of my closest friends and colleagues there, so it needed to be great. Bites and Bashes more than delivered. The menu had so many great options and a lot of guidance to give us a head start. After we selected what we wanted, the communication was responsive, clear, easy. Day of, they delivered on time and our guests were so pleased. read more

Bites and Bashes Catering is incredible! Responsive admin and efficient team who came out to cater for my wedding. Food was all so tasty, especially the hors d'oeuvres (egg rolls, mini spam musubis) and the main dishes were flavorful, especially the garlic noodles and short rib. I would highly HIGHLY recommend Bites and Bashes for any event, for their warm service and quality food! Thank you for making our day a special one! read more

The food was enjoyed by all. Everyone was asking where we ordered it from. In hindsight, we should have taken some of your business cards. We told everyone you were local with a restaurant right on Narbonne so you will likely have new customers. We were extremely satisfied with all aspects of the experience. Thank you! We will certainly become repeat customers and definitely recommend you to friends and family! read more

I can't thank you enough! We had the best lunch we've ever had, and I received over 30 compliments regarding the food. Our team devoured the seafood paella, the vodka pasta, the paprika chicken, empanadas. Everyone loved the beef and chicken sliders and I had many options for our vegan and vegetarians. As long as I have been hosting our office events the team has never praised a caterer the way they did with you. I gave all who asked the name of your company as they were very impressed. Many asked when you can return with more food. This event was a viewing party for the FIFA World cup semi-finals and as everyone sat and watched the match, I will say your food overshined what was on TV. The delivery gentleman was so nice and kind arrived at 11am and set up the perfect display for us, it was overall a great experience. Thank you so much for a great menu and the best customer service. I will defiantly keep you in mind for our end of year holiday party. Thanks again read more

I want to thank the Bites and Bashes team for their amazing catering services during our recent event. Sara was an amazing coordinator handling my many questions, concerns and comments with flexibility and tact. Gabi who was our on site manager was terrific through out the entire day and trust me it was a long one. The team is able to handle last minute pivots from an almost canceled event to a modified one. We did a hybrid of drop of catering for breakfast featuring breakfast burritos, frittatas and so much more followed by a station filled dinner and everything was fantastic ESPECIALLY THE PASTA, which was my personal favorite. We also had pizzas prepared on site and a beautiful Mexican buffet. They really take their time with how the food looks and taste. I would absolutely use them in the future. read more

Bites and Bashes were amazing! They catered my husband's 40th birthday party and were clear in communication, made delicious food (addictive meatballs if you ask our guests). Everyone was so sweet to work with too and VERY on top of refilling the food stations! Also they brought tables and chairs which made it so much easier for us, love that we didn't have to hire an extra company to do that. My husband and I barely did ANYTHING other than blow up a couple balloons. It made hosting so EASY! Guests were raving about them. We would definitely work with them again. read more

We could not have been more pleased with everything! The team was an absolute delight and every single bite was better than the last. Clients were raving about it! It was a pleasure to have the team in my kitchen, their fun dynamic and easy going nature made what could have been a stressful event for me (hosting top clients in my home), so easy. This was my second time using Bites and Bashes and they were, once again, so great to work with. Katie made everything super easy--helped me figure out the right amount of food and got everything locked in without any stress. The delivery driver (wish I had gotten his name!) was also so fun and helpful--he mentioned he runs the farm for the company, which was such a cool detail. The food itself was amazing--not just in taste, but in the way it was presented. The little flowers, the fresh herbs... it all looked beautiful and felt really special. People kept asking me where the food was from and I got a ton of compliments on it throughout the day. Also--random but important--the strawberry lemonade was a surprise hit. I almost didn't order it and it ended up being one of the first things gone. Highly recommend adding that to your order! Can't wait to use them again next time. read more

Bites and Bashes catered my husband's 50th birthday party at home. From the first inquiry to the arrival of the food, the team was very responsive. I planned this party from abroad even. I used Bites and Bashes catering for my wife's 50th celebration (110-120 guests) and the entire experience was outstanding! From working on the menu with Katie to finalizing the payment to the delivery - they did not miss. I shopped around and B & B's menu is great and at a solid price range. I would use their services again for sure and maybe even drive over to their brick and mortar cafe location. Thanks Katie! read more

We ordered Thanksgiving dinner and it was incredible. The turkey was perfectly cooked and juicy. The stuffing might have been the best I have ever had. My guests loved all of it. I now live outside of L.A. and needed an excellent caterer for a relatively small event at a home--my mother's Celebration of Life. I did my homework and found B&B. They did not disappoint! They did a excellent job with passed hors d'oeuvres, a delicious Tuscan buffet, desserts, beverages--all beautifully presented. The staff was great and did a super job cleaning up. At first, I checked out other more Hollywood-centric caterers, but got the feeling that their focus is more on influencer parties and celebrity events. Knowing L.A., I pivoted to B&B (which already had excellent reviews) located closer to Palos Verdes, where events would be more along the lines of family-related and upscale social events like wedding receptions, anniversaries, etc. This turned out to be the right move. Shout out to Katie for working with me on all the details. read more

First off - AMAZING customer service. Thank you specifically to Sara C. for dealing with my/my company's craziness and changes. The delivery driver also was very kind and helpful! Secondly, the food was beyond wonderful. I got much more than pictured, and all of the dishes came in good looking, high-quality containers. I didn't even need to "plate" them at all. They were aesthetically pleasing ON TOP of also being delicious! The biggest hits for our event were the veggie glass noodles (our clients took every extra one home!), the bruschetta (I wish I had gotten more), and chicken satay skewers. I cannot say enough good things about Bites & Bashes and I look forward to using them again and again! read more

I worked with Bites & Bashes for a corporate Employee Appreciation event at our firm, and the entire process was a delight. I coordinated with Katie and Sara, who helped me organize everything in a timely and detailed manner. They were highly professional, accommodating all our requests as we navigated challenges with our new office building. It was a pleasure working with the B&B team. We ordered a brunch spread, a mini pancake station, and barista service with a foam printer, which was a fun surprise for our employees. On the day of the event, the staff arrived early and required minimal assistance, demonstrating their professionalism. I was happy to see Julie, the owner, join us for the first half of the event--her energy and passion for excellent catering service were truly appreciated. All of the event staff were incredibly welcoming and wonderful to work with before, during, and after the event. The cleanup process was seamless and required little to no involvement on my part, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, if you're looking for a highly professional caterer that delivers beautiful, delicious food with fantastic service, look no further! read more

We hired Bites & Bashes to cater our holiday party based on the strength of previous Yelp reviews so it's fitting we should leave our own! Wow! I had never heard of this place, but apparently they're famous and local, located in Lomita! I needed food for a birthday party w some 15 guests coming and the other person forgot to order, so I sent quotes to two other places who never got back to me but Bites & Bashes did! Event was on Sunday and I spoke to Bites & Bashes late Friday afternoon. We agreed on the vegan menu w/an hour and by Sunday everything was ready and beautifully presented! I was really impressed cuz they came through for me! Food was delicious and one of my guests said they usually do big caterings for political fundraisers so no wonder the price was a bit high. I'm just upset I didn't get to take any pictures of the food cuz I was too busy hosting but my guests really enjoyed it! If I had to do it over, I would've called much earlier and carefully picked even more stuff on their menu cuz scrolling through them, they sound awesome! I definitely recommend them. In fact I look forward to getting catering from them again next year! read more

If you hire Bites & Bashes catering you will not be disappointed! Their presentation is AMAZING!! The owners, Crystal Coser & Julie Coser are both a delight to work with. We used them for my daughter's bridal shower and we created a brunch menu with them based on my daughter's favorite items. They were so accommodating. The food not only tasted amazing, but the set up was so pretty. Some of the crowd favorites were the mini breakfast sandwiches on brioche, the baby spinach & Fuji apple salad and their curried chicken sandwiches. We also ordered some amazing drinks: We had both their detox Retox & lavender lemonade. They were both sooo good!!. We used their delivery service, and it was so easy! They were on time and their set up was absolutely gorgeous. I HIGHLY recommend them. We will definitely order from Bites & Bashes again & again!! read more

The good: I got catering from here for 15 people for my baby shower. 15 people is the minimum order for many of their pre-set menus. I was able to book them for my event that was occurring in less than a week away. I liked the variety of menu options there were that ranged from different international cuisines like Italian to Korean. I got the Spanish menu which included paprika chicken, grilled vegetables, patatas bravas, and ensalada verde. I opted to add beef empanadas. They also have cocktails and non-alcoholic drink options. My husband and I agreed that the chicken was the star of the show. It had a delicious sauce and it wasn't dry. It was very tender. We rarely think chicken stands out so this was a huge surprise to us! It was very delicious. My second favorite was the salad. The vinaigrette was great, the presentation was beautiful and everything was fresh. The grilled vegetables were also seasoned well. The trays were nicely arranged with vent holes and I loved that they even had little placards with labels. I'd easily cater with them again! I was surprised how fully sized the empanadas were. The portion sizes for everything was very nice and accurate. The bad: There's a 10% service charge and a minimum of $800 spending to get delivery. We didn't realize there was chimichuri sauce for the empanadas until after half of the empanadas were already eaten. The sauce was a little on the salty side. My husband came at 10:20 to pickup the food (as I had told them we would) but the food wasn't ready at the time he came. However, they were very nice about it and offered him coffee while he waited. The interesting: They have a cafe as well. read more
