This was probably the best decision we ever made besides the whole getting married and having a baby thing! I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful these people are. Taylor was our events manager and my point of contact for all my catering needs. She was SO thorough, patient, kind, and extremely helpful for all of the months leading up to the big day. We just had a party with approximately 110 guests, and Border Grill was perfect in every way. First of all, working with Taylor prior to the event was fantastic. Planning a party like this was um...STRESSFUL! But Taylor always put us at ease, answering our questions quickly and making us feel like she understood what we wanted. She paid careful attention to our guests' allergies, especially the nut concerns which are a big deal in our family. And she took our general concept for a "Make Your Own Mocktail Bar" for the teens and creatively ran with it. Even the adults were into it! Then when it came time for the party, Chelsea and her team went above and beyond. They were on point the whole night, super professional and just on top of every detail. They were calm yet festive and helped to set the tone for the party. We had so many comments about how tasty everything was, from the apps to the drinks to the main course. The mocktail bar was awesome, and my wife now has a new favorite margarita (passionfruit). The Border Grill team even helped us put the trays of leftovers in our car after it was all over - classy service from the start of the party to the final moment. We got married at Casa Cody, which does not have a full catering kitchen. Border Grill was able to pull one of their food trucks into their driveway, and set up a full buffet out of it. We had an absolutely phenomenal tasting at their sister restaurant in Santa Monica. All of the food was amazing, and we took plenty of leftovers. We wanted gluten free and vegan options, and they were easily able to accommodate us. I normally always order beef at catering, and I got the vegetable enchiladas because they were that good! We also realized two months before our wedding that we never ordered desserts. Border grill gave us a full menu of options and said it was no problem to add to the order. Taylor was a dream to work with, and the staff on site the day of were all amazing. They checked on us multiple times, made sure we were well fed and always had drinks. I am writing this review wayyyy too late (a little over 2 years after my wedding) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Border Grill all the praise they deserve. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Border Grill previously and found them to be so easy to work with as well as extremely professional. They always had the absolute best food so I knew when I was getting married they were at the top of my list! My husband at the time was hesitant as he isn't the biggest fan of Mexican food even though I explained to him several times that it's a delicious modern fusion. Once we had our tasting he was sold! I work as an event manager and I had the pleasure of attending my two best friends wedding two weeks ago. It was catered by border Grill and they blew me away. When we arrived to the venue to help set up before guest arrival, tables and chairs had been improperly set up by the rental company. We would've been screwed but without hesitation, their staff moved all the chairs and tables and never complained even in the three digit heat. They literally saved the reception and went above and beyond the call of duty. If they hadn't stepped up to help us, I don't know what we would've done. Not only that but we ran out of ice and plastic cups towards the end of the night and without any hesitation they stepped up to go pick it up for us. Unbelievable service. Oh and Their food is delicious by the way! Incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. I couldn't believe how delicious everything was.
