Solid three stars. I got a patty melt minus bacon. My son got a plain bacon cheeseburger. He said his burger was pretty good, and my patty melt was everything you want a patty melt to be. Great place to eat. We were in town for only the weekend and has just checked in to our hotel. Settled on this place and we're not disappointed. It looks at little small from the outside but as we walked in it opened up nicely with plenty of seating. The staff were super friendly and the food came quickly to our table, hot. I can't believe I forgot to review this place!! My boyfriend & I came to mount pleasant on a mini vacation a while back and fell in love with the area and this place! The food was so delicious it made us come back a few days in a row (I guess that's why they call it the comeback shack lol) and they don't miss! It was great every single visit. We came on a day that was pretty packed so we were lucky to get a seat. The customer service was great and the food was even better. Perfect burgers, perfect fries. Everything was hot and the shake was amazing as well. A bit pricey for a drive thru but it's definitely worth it here cuz your truly tasting something special. Will definitely come back when we're in Mt Pleasant/Charleston. A must! read more

There is so much good about this place! Their burgers are really great, to start. They have a great variety of sauces to choose from (and if you go in to eat..oh yeah there's a drive thru! there is unlimited sauces and for the most part, they're home made). Unfortunately, I wish I loved their fries.. they seem dry and hollow or something.. I can't really put my finger on it. I really want to like this place, but after 3 or 4 attempts, I probably will be choosing Five Guys in the future for my quick and tasty burger and fry cravings. The problem is the lack of consistency - the fries have been different every time, sometimes overly seasoned, other times bland, sometimes soft and other times crunchy. They advertise a 1/4 lb (4 oz) burger patty, but with my most recent order, my burger patty weighed a measly 2 oz. Granted perhaps it lost some weight during cooking, but I don't believe that ground beef loses 50% of its weight. The lettuce leaf was also quite sad and wilty. Overall, every time I've eaten here I leave feeling a little bit disappointed. I love the menu and would be willing to try again if they can get their act together and provide consistent quality. This spot is fantastic! We opted for the drive thru but definitely admired their covered garden patio. The line was super quick and our order came out perfect. We enjoyed their green tomato burger with pimento cheese, warm sweet potato chips, and Reece's milkshake. Great price and portions for all three. Stay away unless your day job and taking care of the family doesn't use up enough of your time. Their "new" kiosk ordering system takes longer than the test for the South Carolina Bar. I ate here couple weeks ago and it was great. Today I arrived about 11:15 while ordering I was thinking, wow I'm probably one of the first customers and would get a freshly made burger. My first bite I could tell the burger was not fresh, may have been made last night. Not hot not even warm! Fries however were fresh and very good. The service was five star but the condition of the restaurant was dirty, bathroom terrible with one toilet probably not flushed from the night before. I keep trying to give this place a chance because the children like the food but they are super annoying! I usually order through door dash so maybe they are partly to blame but here are the recent problems. Fries are always delivered cold. Interesting concept. Poor execution. If you come in without your phone, you are out of luck since you have scan a qr code to see menu and order. Even with electronic ordering, my order was wrong. I selected no onions and got plenty. Wished for lettuce and got none, along with the wimpiest micro slice of tomato I've ever been served. The worst, though, were the fries. They were so greasy that it was good they had a huge sink next to the beverage counter so we could wash up after eating. We were so looking for a good burger place...out of luck tonight. What a great quick in and out place. The food was far superior to a fast food restaurant but was much quicker to be served than those establishments. We opted for the outdoor seating and to my surprise the serve was outstanding. We had a burger and a chicken sandwich. The burger was comparable to Five Guys but half the cost which, in my family is a winner. The chicken sandwich was little less impressive but still good.
