I wasn't even going to write a review and just move on. But after noticing the defect in my bumper today (when the lighting was better), in addition to the terrible experience I had yesterday, I had to say something.
On 10/11, I came to Collison Care through my insurance due to someone hitting my car while it was parked. The Estimator, Kervin, was nice and helpful, so I asked him about doing some personal work on my car aside from my insurance. He said that they would give me the discounted rate they charge my insurance company ($52/hr) because I was giving them personal business, as well. He told me he would reach out to me once he got a total of what I needed done, which included a new bumper. He got back to me with an amount of $1,148. I was ok with that and gave him the thumbs up to proceed. He even called me one more time before they started to make sure that was fine. I said, let's do it! Almost 3 weeks later, and after many issues on their end, my car was finally ready.
When I got there, Kervin took me out to see my car and I was very happy. I even spoke about getting my hood painted in the next couple of months! We went into the office and he got my paperwork. He said I owed $1,948- $800 more than the amount we discussed and I agreed to! I was totally taken aback. I asked him about the discrepancy and he said he would try to adjust some things off. He came back a few minutes later saying he could only get it down to $1800 by giving me the discounted rate that they charge my insurance company. But wasn't that already part of the deal? So, now, I'm getting upset because clearly he's playing games. He says I misunderstood the amount of $1948 and $1148. Really? That is a HUGE difference and if he would have quoted me that amount, I would have never agreed because I knew could not afford it.
He gets the Manager and he says that he will work on it and see what he can do. Kervin comes back a little while later with a new total of $1142. That's more like it! I paid the amount and went on my way. Today, I go out to my car and just happen to notice that my supposedly brand new bumper has deep ridges in it. See pics. I am so disgusted! 17 days, issue after issue, deception, AND they STILL gave me a damaged bumper! I feel they took advantage of me because I am a woman, with limited experience in auto work. It's ok, though. I let my insurance company know what they did and I will never go back to them again; I don't even want them fixing my bumper! They'll just say I did it, anyway. I should have just went to L&M Body Shop like I first planned! read more
