Coles is the only 100% gluten free place in Spokane. I have not had one bad dish from them. They have donuts on Saturday. Before finding them I was feeling like I would never have a donut again. Also I absolutely love that for the holidays they do cookie decorating kits so for like Christmas there were stars and trees and candy canes I think and for Valentine's Day they were heartsand they have some for Saint Patrick's day and I'm sure they're going to have some for Easter. After moving back to Spokane we were really excited to eat at Cole's again. They were closed on Christmas, which was to be expected. We had called and left a message about placing an order as soon as they were opened again. We received a call from them on 12/27, but didn't leave a message. So we called back to place an order. They didn't answer. Thinking they may have busy, we placed an order online. We received our confirmation email and headed out to the north side from our home in the Valley to pick up our order, only to find out they had closed early. Their hours state they're open until 6pm. Oh my word!!!! I can't say enough great things about this place! First off, I am so grateful to have found a place that I don't have to worry about getting sick from. I have Celiac so it's super tough dining out. But this place gets it ALL so right! The food!!! So good!!! We had the chicken tenders, fries, waffles, mozzarella sticks, and I recommend it All!!!! We were so excited to find a gluten free restaurant during our last minute trip to Spokane. Not only was the price insanely comparable to a non-gluten free joint, but they also had tons of options to buy and bring home. It was magic. The portions were plenty filling. I got a build your own omelette that came with a side of potatoes and my hubby got a breakfast sandwich and a side of potatoes. It was glorious. If you're keto & need something sweet quickly this is probably a great place to go. If you can follow a recipe and have time to make a treat you might be better off trying something on your own. I had a carrot cake cupcake and pecan Blondie. Both had that overly sweet almost chemical taste and were a little grainy after a couple bites. I would have probably been better off with a cheesecake or one of the fat bombs. Service was friendly, helpful and timely. The place seemed very clean and tables were cleaned quickly once people vacated them. I really wanted to love these treats, but honestly I think they need to use less sweetener in them and maybe use a combination of sweeteners for a more complete sweetness. Had my first visit recently and was pleasantly surprised! I guess I didn't realize how much space they occupied, but it's definitely roomy. There are multiple seating options (low and high chairs, indoor and outdoor seating) or you can buy treats and gluten free/keto/dairy free/vegan friendly items and be on your way. They have ice cream, snacks, and pastries to suit all dietary needs, which is incredibly impressive. Onto the restaurant menu! They serve the entire menu all day! I opted for the cheese ravioli with curry cream sauce and not only would have never guess it was gluten free pasta, but that sauce... damn. Perfection. My fiancé got a burger, which was also tasty and their fries are winners. I've made handcut fries many times in my day and they're doing it right. Huge kudos there! Everyone else enjoyed their dishes, including my sister who got the vegan Mac and my European aunt who got avocado toast. Last, I'd like to say, the place was sparkling clean and the service was excellent. My grandpa has a very dry (yet hilarious) sense of humor and all the women working totally were cool with it. Wasn't sure what to get so I ordered the onion rings and the kids slider the slider was simply a biscuit and meat and nothing else. Too dry for me. My favorite place to eat in Spokane hands down. I live a keto lifestyle and everything that I've had here has been absolutely delicious. Not many places in Spokane have kept up with how many people eat this way now, so it's very nice to have a place that is up-to-date. I tried their Keto pecan bar (just needed a taste before driving off with it) and bought some keto biscuits to take home. HELP! I'm becoming addicted to this place and I'm not even gluten-free! I've tried multiple menu choices and have never been anything short of seriously impressed. This is apparently a new business, conceived and run by a woman who 'shares the love' via ridiculously great food. Most recently I had the most perfect pumpkin-curry soup - delicious undertones with the perfect amount of 'bite'. Multiple cheese ball varieties, and trust me, they're all good and worth every penny. And I haven't met a baked good item I didn't delight in - What more could you ask? I think they have daily pizza and lunch specials on the menu but I've not been there at lunchtime (yet). I do know they're open until 7 p.m. so are a nice, cozy spot for hot, healthy dinner chow (with a few tables for inside seating.) I am new to gluten free eating. Due to a visit to my doctor. I was in spokane visiting a friend. I decided to try coles bakery. The pastries we tried were delicious. I bought bread to try. Little expensive. Wanted to try it none the less. I bought it took it home. In the morning I made toast to have with my morning coffee. Bad idea. The bread tasted doughy. The crust was really hard after toasting the bread. Then made a sandwich that afternoon. First sandwich in 4 months. It was ok. Still had that doughy taste. I don't think I will buy it again. I am very disappointed. My husband ordered a gluten free pie from the bakery for my birthday. He was told to pick it up that morning, so he went in and asked for the pie. He was then told that they did NOT make it gluten free, even though their ticket clearly said "gluten free". He asked if there was another pie he could get instead andadvised them that my birthday was that day. They told him no and said they didn't know why it wasn't gluten free. He was upset with how snotty and rude the employee was that was telling him this. I still can't believe that a GLUTEN FREE bakery couldn't make a gluten free pie. Very disappointing. You may want to speak to staff then, because we were told that the pie that they made was NOT gluten free, therefore we didn't end up buying it. Customer service was terrible. I wanted an iced black tea and specifically asked the cashier, "I don't know what a lavender fog is, is it just a type of black tea?" She answered, "Yes it's a type of Earl Gray." I ordered it and asked for it iced with no sweetener (I had no idea it's a type of milk latte--which is why I made sure to ask about it before ordering). I paid for it and my friend's drink and left a tip. When I got my drink, it had milk in it (I'm allergic to milk). When I went to ask about it, the same girl told me that's what a lavender fog is. I told her I couldn't drink milk and reminded her that I had asked if it was just a black tea, not a latte, and she again told me "that's what a lavender fog is." I told her I am looking for a black tea--no latte--and she suggested Earl Grey. She rang me up and wanted me to pay $3.45 (something close to that) for my new drink. I didn't want to pay again, when she didn't refund me on a messed up drink I had specifically asked about and tipped her on, so she told me goodbye as she kept my untouched, messed up order. So I paid for and tipped on a drink I couldn't drink, and she kept it. I was very friendly the whole time and couldn't believe she wouldn't just correct her mistake....over a tea bag. My friend had heard my original inquiry/order and the conversation between me and the cashier, and she agreed the customer service was ridiculous. read more

I picked up a cookie and scone from Cole's at the Kendall Yards Market, they were absolutely disgusting. Worst I've had in my life and I threw both out after a couple of bites. First off, no difference between the two in taste or texture other than the icing. They weren't sweet. The texture was more like a weird breading than cookie or scone. The icing tasted like chemicals. I will not go back to Cole's after this. I'm shocked how bad the cookie and scone were. Such a waste of money and gross. read more

SO GOOD! I've got a new craving in Spokane and its Coles Gluten Free Foods. Teriyaki Hawaiian grass fed burger, onion rings and a hoppy IPA...all gluten free with absolutely no sacrifice in flavor. In fact better than most any of these I've eaten, gluten or otherwise. Don't be fooled by the unassuming facade or name. This place is flavor to the max. I really want to love this place because I'm gluten free. How cool to have an entire restaurant dedicated to food I can eat?! However both times I've been have been disappointing. The first time my daughter and I each got a treat (blondie and a cupcake) and they were both so dry. You know a cupcake has to be pretty bad when even a 6 year old wouldn't eat it and threw it away. I understand that gluten free desserts will usually differ from ones with gluten however I am able to make very moist gluten free desserts at home with ease. Second time I had the chicken strips and they were so dry also and seemed like they had been overcooked. I was so disappointed especially with them costing $16. I probably won't be returning after these two experiences. The cost of the food is just too high to take a chance on whether or not it's going to be good. read more
