The empanadas were just as impressive--packed with flavor and another standout of the meal. We also tried their gold leaf coffee along with a regular coffee. The gold leaf coffee was definitely a fun, elevated touch and made the whole brunch feel extra special. What really stood out was how well they balance aesthetic and flavor. The food looks beautiful, but thankfully, it's not style over substance--the flavors absolutely deliver. Service was amazing and impressively quick, with our food coming out fast. Too make matters worse I had to ask for a side of mayo and they charged me 75 cents - are you kidding me? I was hesitant to ask for some mustard and ketchup, which should have already been at or brought to the table to begin with. The waitress was pleasant, but I had to ask for everything. I would have returned the burger, but I was having lunch with a friend and did not want to ruin the encounter. I got the batter fries, which were crispy and seasoned well, but with the dry burger the fries didn't help. At that moment I wish I had ordered the side salad instead, as my friend's looked mouthwatering and my mouth needed watering; LOL. Anyway, the burger and fries, with water came to almost $25, with tip. I had been there once before, but I couldn't remember what I had; it was that memorable. I hate McDonald's and have not been there in about a decade, but I would have gladly eaten a double quarter pounder, with cheese, and some fries over this overpriced cotton mouth special. These guys were not even busy, so there is no excuse for the unsatisfactory food. I will not be back.
