    Best Cuban sandwich!
    Maly L.

Update: Review Episode 2 ~ Went back the next day for the full experience and can confirm that these are among the top sandwiches we've ever had! We are now roadtrip obsessed with these sandwiches. The Chief Sandwich Maker knows what he's doing here just by watching him in action. This time, we got the perfectly toasted chicken pesto, cubano, fruit cheese pack, coffee and favorite Bubly sparkling water. We tasted each sandwich for our roadtrip adventure of the day and saved the other half to take back on flight home for his dad. The small operations team was very grateful and gracious for our enthusiasm. It's a mini convenience, grab-and-go food shop serving business workers M-F mornings until early afternoon. This is located up the second floor of a business building and requires door entry access. We and another patron were able to get through when someone exited the building. Review Episode 1 ~ Best amazingly perfect Cuban sandwich ever worth bookmarking ~ We've been to the country of Cuba and Miami several times so for someone who usually isn't a sandwich person, I was impressively surprised by how delicious the Cuban sandwich is from a small shop in Spokane! While the beau and I were in town for business for the first time here, he offered to pick up and drop off a snack for me between his meetings. I had text three Yelp options and he decided upon this location located on the second floor. He was concerned about the wait might be long because there were a few people ahead of him but timing of service went quickly. I was actually craving a breakfast croissant sandwich but the moment he mentioned Cuban sandwich on the menu it was the standout choice over the phone. I had to quickly dash downstairs seven floors from the hotel to grab the sandwich which was still toasty warm as he drove off. I could tell instantly by temperature, aroma and all fixings that this was going to be foodie perfection: bacon, quality ham, mustard, pickles and bread. Just one half was plenty filling enough to satiate my morning appetite. Almost wished the beau had time to sneak a bite in of this sandwich to share. Of course, I saved the other half for him. Next time, I'd be open to tasting the pesto sandwich food option available on the menu. We also have an upcoming road trip planned and would happily come back here to load up on sandwiches, salads, coffee, snacks and beverages for the day!

Very nice, friendly, fresh. They're highly equipped to serve the professionals frequenting this historical office building.

What a great local gem find for a great sandwich or wrap. Met the owners Cody and Danielle Miller on our way through town. This is not "on the beaten path" for travelers who aren't local (second floor of the Paulsen office building). There is a pay parking lot right around the corner and it's walking distance from the Davenport Grand hotel. The food and service were fantastic. You can feel the passion and pride of local ownership in their work. They catered to my wife's gluten free and dairy free needs not only without an upcharge but with a smile and grace. It was so good that we visited two days in a row and there are lots of competing options in town. I highly recommend supporting local. Go see Cody and Danielle...your taste buds will thank you and you can't help not leaving with a smile from their wonderful service.

**A Sad Farewell to Alpine Deli - A Beloved German Gem**…read moreIt's with a heavy heart that I write this: the Alpine Deli has permanently closed its doors, and with it, a truly special part of our community is gone. This place was more than just a deli or restaurant--it was a little slice of Germany right here in Spokane. My wife and mother-in-law, both German, found comfort, joy, and a sense of familiarity in its authentic offerings. Whether it was the perfectly prepared schnitzel, the warm and hearty goulash, or the shelves stocked with imported German groceries--from mustards and sausages to chocolates and breads--you could taste the tradition in everything they offered. The loss of those hard-to-find German pantry staples hits hard. Alpine Deli was our go-to for ingredients you simply couldn't get anywhere else, and now there's a real gap where that connection to home and heritage used to be. The staff always made us feel welcome. There was a warmth and friendliness that matched the comforting food and cozy atmosphere. You didn't just go to Alpine for a meal--you went for an experience, a piece of culture, and a chance to connect over something real and delicious. It's a real loss to see a place like this disappear. In a world of fast, generic options, Alpine Deli stood proudly for tradition, quality, and authenticity. It will be sorely missed--not only by us, but by everyone who ever stepped through its doors and felt, if only for a little while, like they were part of something special. Danke, Alpine Deli. You gave us so many good memories. You won't be forgotten.

It's mostly sausage and meats, meats and sausages, hearty rolls and pretzel buns and rye bread etc. I got a Reuben and it was fucking delightful. Shits was piled high with meat and featured a massive wad of house-made (assuming) sauerkraut. Excellent bread and cheese. Soft. Bread was not really toasted all that long and I devoured the thing. Cost $12 for a whole sandwich with no sides. I shouldn't be crying about this but yet I am a little bit. Throw a few kettle chips my way and make it feel like a meal eh? A few carrot sticks? Something. Anything. I can't afford to eat like this for lunch. My co-worker got a sausage roll and it was just that. A couple smallish sausages with hot mustard on a white roll. Looked and tasted great but I know he must've walked out hungry. $8. Cup of soup is $6. I'm complaining a lot about prices. It's not their fault. They make from scratch and Spokane City has em' bent over with taxes and fees at every turn I'm sure. Service was really friendly and they were knowledgeable. They vary offerings a lot and feature some different breads and desserts daily. Homemade bratwurst is available but they tend to sell out, judging by our 12:10pm visit when they had nada.
