a sandwich on a checkered plate

This place was a solid 4.5 stars. Great sandwiches but not the best I've had based on how much protein was in the sandwich. Taste was yummy. It comes with a pickled. Prices for the sandwich was about $12. We wanted soup but right when we got there, they ran out. Service was very friendly and she helped answer our questions. They sell bread and day old for a discount. You can make the sandwiches a combo by adding package chips or their fresh bakery options. Place was clean and we were able to push 2 tables together to accommodate 5 adults and 2 children.

Best sandwich I've ever had! I had the Baja chipotle turkey sandwich and it tasted so good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The music that was playing was very relaxing. This is definitely a great spot to have a sandwich. I would definitely go here again and recommend this place to a friend.

I am in love with this sandwich and it's seriously my favorite thing! I love the great harvest bread co for their bread, but starving for lunch today, I decided to try their sandwiches. It was so delicious, and super filling! I only hate half of it, and saved the other half for later. - Even with me getting extra chipotle, my bread was super good and no soggy at all hours later!! The staff was so nice and super helpful with all my questions. 10000/10 recommend! Go support local

Cute little play area tucked away in the corner.

Great little neighborhood bakery and sandwich spot! I already wanted to give it 5 stars before the food arrived because my kids were loving the little play area in the corner so much, and when the food came it was all tasty. The breads are soft and fresh tasting and the sandwiches and soup we got were all yummy. We'll be back for sure!

Well I've been wanting to try this place for awhile because I drive by it while working. Finally did today. It's cool to find a place where you can get sunflower seeds added to a sandwich. Kinda bummed though because the menu says the sandwich comes with a pickle spear & I didn't get one. Also grabbed a bag of chips and even though the date says feb 2021, they still tasted stale. In addition to the chips I asked for a cookie as well because with a sandwich it's an extra $2.50 for two extras combined with a sandwich, well she forgot to give me my cookie too. I also picked up an Asiago sourdough loaf of bread which I can't wait to try! I'll probably be in again, but I'll make sure to pay more attention to what's in my bag before I leave.

Great harvest is somewhere I have grown up loving. Their breads and sweets always satisfy and they are a fun place to be in. I know that in the last couple years they have struggled with giving attention to detail but have TOTALLY TURNED IT AROUND. They hand-make their breads every day and they are available to pick up fresh starting around 10:30 am. I have seen a lot of people come in looking for fresh bread, but it's just not available until later in the day since it's made from scratch that morning. They offer pre-made mixes for granola, cookies, breads, and more! Everything on the menu is affordable and service is fast from a friendly staff. I came in to get some work done, and they loved having me in the store and offered cheery and comforting background noise. It was a great place to be and I will definitely be coming back!!

I have always enjoyed this location. I find their employees always pleasant with awesome customer service! I love that they give samples and are quite generous (maybe even too generous)! They have real good bread; can't deny that. Try have special bread flavors that rotate daily. One of my favorites is cinnamon apple chip. Stopped here the other to get lunch. I got a bacon chicken apple panini and it was so good! It also comes with a slice of pickle, but I'm not pickle person so I can't speak on that regard. They have other baked goods, but they do run out so don't always bank on getting what you want at the end of the day. Oooh you can get cookie dough on their fridge! One of my best memories of this place is a few years ago, I was tight on my budget and came in wanting half a loaf of something. They only had their sample loaf left so they just bagged it and gave it to me at no cost. I was so grateful.

However, Luna does offer a lot of things for this price. You have a pleasant neighborhood restaurant vibe, with friendly attentive service and excellent, healthy food sourced from good places. As with anything in Spokane, you will see folks in very casual attire, but this is also a place where you can dress up. When we went, there were several tables of women friends (all ages), many family groups (without young kids or with well-behaved kids), and older couples. I was in the mood for salmon and they did a great version. It should be though for just under $50. It was served with black rice (good) and roasted carrots (good) and a carrot puree (really good but not enough on the plate). My dining companion got the scallops, and they were even more expensive than the salmon. $48 for TWO scallops. Ok, they are large, and well-cooked, and came with a lovely vegetable mix and couscous, but that's a lot of $ for Spokane. We are from CA and that's even a shocker for us. Dessert: they had recently added a banana pudding, which was good. It replaced a chocolate dessert--and that was a bad move because there is no intense chocolate on the menu. We also tried the coconut cake with lemon curd. There was not enough curd; it was barely a tang. The cake itself was a little dry. It is served with house-made ice cream, which balances the dryness but the cake should be good on its own. Apparently, this is their most popular dessert. I am a chocolate-first person. I like coconut. I like good vanilla. I really like lemon curd and a sweet-sour pairing. For me, this item felll short.

That's probably the highlight of the whole experience. I started with the Cheshire Cat mocktail, which was a bit oversweet for me. For main course, I had sea bass for $48 (pan-seared fish served with onion-potato gnocchi, charred asparagus, mushrooms, and asparagus coulis). It was decent, but the portion felt small for the price. Salmon rillette ended up being the best dish! It was rich, savoury, and delicious when paired with pickled onions (the bread was slightly burnt - I hated it). Ended the meal with a vanilla gelato dessert - just okay, not too wow. The restaurant was so packed and seemed understaffed, so service took forever. I left feeling a bit disappointed, especially after looking forward to it so much

We told the server it tasted burnt & old so she offered to make a fresh pot. It was just as bad, when she asked we said it was still really yucky and she said that a lot of people don't care for it. I ordered the tamale waffle. The beef was great, eggs were a bit overcooked but no biggie, the waffle was really hard and dry. It needs some sort of crema sauce or something. It wasn't horrible by any stretch but it wasn't great either. My mom got the veggie breakfast burrito and she liked the veggies though it was bland, felt like it could have had more sour cream & cheese. It was massive and came with a side. The added 16% service fee is some real BS. It says on the receipt that it's split between the server & the kitchen staff. Call me old fashioned but I thought it was on the restaurant to pay their staff a living wage. At $18 a breakfast plate & $4 for drip coffee you should be able to pay your staff. And then we're supposed to tip on top of that? Nope.

Time from entering the restaurant to food on the table was an hour, seems a little crazy for a waffle + topping situation. I think I'd almost prefer this as order at the counter and stream line the service time given waffles are casual. Inside was really loud even though it wasn't packed. My latte listed on menu for $6 was $7.50 and mimosa listed at $11 was $14... not sure if we missed something there? Was hungry pretty soon after, sampler really isn't enough for a meal.
