Torn about this review. The owner is hard worker! The $9 bagel sandwich was average at best. But this is the bagel Authority! You should be an authority on bagels. Bagels are not made in house but rather a Baker in the local area. Very Brady similar to a store-bought bakery bagel. No cream cheese on the breakfast sandwich unless you pay extra. At some point there needs to be value, and there isn't much value here. read more

Admittedly I'm not one to ever write a review, but I've ordered steamed bagels a few times from Bagel Authority now - and they have completely impressed me. I was a huge bagel skeptic. My experience with bagels has mostly been homemade bagels from the east coast or basic baked bagels from a grocery store on the west coast - which I now know is a WIDE variance on the bagel spectrum. Being busy in my line of work, I order from Bagel Authority about once a week and the bagels always arrive warm (as they are wrapped in foil) and usually ahead of schedule. Be warned, however, the herbs are so fresh they almost taste spicy - my favorite. I've fully become addicted to BA and might be the founder of Bagel Authority Anonymous... although I'm not so anonymous now with a public review. Anyway, stellar bagels. read more

I finally stopped by this place for lunch and I wasn't disappointed! I got the Italian sandwich on an everything bagel and they PILED on the meat which was awesome. Service wasn't super fast but it was just one person working and he was doing as best as he could, I was still in and out within 15 minutes! Seems like a great spot for breakfast or lunch, it has a great ambiance for getting a bite to eat and maybe watching some sports. Sandwich was a bit soggy when I finally went to eat it BUT that is very understandable since I got dressing/sauces on the sandwich which means that is bound to happen!! Well I went to the new location up at the Y. So both times I went there they were way under staffed and untrained. They were struggling big time. It made me feel sorry for them because they were really nice. Shame on the owner for doing that at a brand new location. Tried not to come here but I'm preg and neeeeeded a bagel with lox and the two other places I went first didn't have it on the menu although the internet told me they did. At Bagel Authority the guy working was pretty slammed I guess so it took A LONG time. I also didn't know they were just steaming the bagel. I was beyond sad. That is just not for me (gave it 2 stars instead of 1 bc maybe it's just preference) But 1) it wasn't stated anywhere obvious that they were steamed not toasted 2) no list available of bagel flavors 3) no price listed on the menu for bfast and lunch sandwiches 4) not a good ratio of ingredients on the bagel 5) steamed just left a very unpleasant slimy/ slippery texture to the sandwich. This place was great! We were in Spokane for the weekend and love to find local spots. I had never experienced a steamed bagel sandwich before and it was delicious! (Much better than my toasted bagel) and we had to go back before we left town. We tried the turkey with cheddar cheese and veggies (tomato, sprouts, lettuce, avocado). I have come to this bagel place at least 4 times and every time, it never disappoints. Today I brought a friend from out of town we we both ordered "The Local" on an asiago bagel and it was delicious! The bagel was so tasty and soft the bagel was well presented, and tasted just as great! The service is always great feeling and helpful! And the ambiance well it's welcoming which I think is one of the most important parts of a place you know, when the ambiance looks so welcome it pulls you off the street. Do not waste your time or money here. Walked in and we were the only people there and it some how took 30 minutes for us to get our bagel sandwiches that weren't even toasted and we're soggy and falling apart - the bottom half of the sandwich was basically disintegrated and non existent. Like if it wasn't even toasted what was the wait all about? Also what kind of bagel place doesn't even toast the bagel or at least ask if we want it toasted or not? My friends also ordered energy drinks which is basically goes from a can to a cup & those took even longer than our bagels. The workers were nice but need better training. Ordered these bagels off of doordash--6 bagels with schmear on the side. They weren't that fresh on day 1. By day 2 they were rock hard. There are better places in Spokane to buy bagels---hidden bagel and ultimate bagel are heads and shoulders better! I was bummed because it was $30+ on doordash. read more

Worst sandwich I've ever had, literally. Would've been excellent if the entire sandwich didn't have the texture of being thrown into a bucket of water. the bagel was soggy and sweaty, not mushy but super soft and bleh just like a previous review stated. I rarely give 1 stars but this was just inedible and also missing a lot of toppings that are supposed to come on the darn thing such as bacon, cream cheese, and sprouts (if you look close at one of my pictures you can see 1 sprout, legit 1 friggin sprout!!!) I only ordered from here because they offer sprouts and I love bagel sandos with sprouts so that was a major let down. I ordered the Five Mile btw. I ordered through delivery and added banana peppers, black olives, and pepperoni and was charged for each addition (understandable and at least those were on there) but the total came out to over $13 for this catastrophe, too pricey for this type of quality. I got the "CDA Beach Bagel" (traditional cream cheese + cinnamon sugar) and my main problem is it's not a bagel. It's a soggy, bagel-shaped bread product. I'm a Jewish East Coast transplant to Spokane, and while bagels a problem region wide, this was the first place that didn't even attempt to replicate what a bagel is, which was crazy coming from a place called The Bagel Authority. If I had to describe exactly my problem with the "bagel's" consistency, if you attempt to fold the bagel it will bend and pop back to its original form. Its elastic. A good bagel should crack and have a bit of crunch. I bet if you ran a knife on the surface of this "bagel," it wouldn't even make a sound. Only reason it gets two stars is the bagel-shaped bread product tasted good, so if you're into soggy bread, this is a good spot. read more

Walked in to pick up a delivery, let them know who I was here for and they said it would be a few minutes. There were two others waiting on orders as well. I sat down, after a few minutes a customer walks in and orders and pays for his food. I'm still waiting around and they end up giving both people who came in before me their orders. Then they give the customer who came in after me. They don't know how to prioritize their customers. I stand up and she asks again my order name. I give it to her and she says "sorry" proceeds making food, I watch her bag it, and tell me mine isn't ready yet and needs to be wrapped and bagged. I'm watching her build the mf bagels, they weren't ready, and still in the toast press. And coffee wasn't even ready yet, at this point I've been waiting over 10 mins and my pickup still isn't ready. And they don't greet you or make you feel welcome at all. They don't prioritize their customers at all. They make you wait forever for some mediocre bagels lmao read more

I have never been so embarrassed for a delivery driver in all my life. I just came from this establishment where the owner was having an exchange of words with a delivery driver about whether or not they were supposed to take the product downstairs. I have worked in retail for the majority of my career and if the delivery driver doesn't have notes that where it states that the stop is what is called a work they don't move that product except to drop the product off and go. The delivery driver asked if the owner would like to help down-stack the order as he was holding on to the top so that it wouldn't fall and the owner refused with a very sarcastic "No, You're supposed to take it downstairs. Other drivers take it downstairs." The delivery driver stated that he could call the rep and find out so that the business owner was getting what he paid for," and the owner then said, "So you're not going to take it downstairs?" the delivery driver offered again to call the sales rep and clarify, the owner said no you can take that back and I will talk to the sales rep. The owner then calls the sales rep and doesn't communicate that the stocking of the product was a miscommunication. He then looks at the delivery driver and tells him to sign the check and by just saying the word "Sign". The delivery driver left after the owner said get out of here I don't want to talk to you I will talk to my rep while still blaming the delivery driver for the miscommunication saying, "No there wasn't a miscommunication, you're wrong don't talk to me. I don't know where people come from anymore. But where I come from you treat people the way you want to be treated. I will never visit this establishment again. read more
