For those of you that expand their horizon and visit Mexico. You must try these delicious empanadas!! They are like a big wonton. They are made to order and you can see the owner making them right there and using fresh ingredients. They are so fluffy, crispy out the outside and light in the inside. I absolutely love the Hawaiian one! It has mozzarella cheese, fresh pineapple, and ham. They accompany them with a chipotle sauce and it just ties the entire dish together! Bam huge explosion in my mouth! Their apple pie empanada tastes just like a McDonald's apple pie but better! It's delicious. They have a combo, where you get 2 empanadas of your choice, along with a side of delicious, fresh salad and a side of freshly made mint lemonade. These empanadas are crack! You can't just have one. After that first bite, you'll keep wanting more.

Walk all the way down to get to the low key spot!

The illest food court I've ever been to. It's located on Revolution avenue. You gotta go down a narrow hallway to get to the food court. When I visited they had a sushi/ramen joint, a burger spot, empanadas, a beer spot & I can't remember the rest. A total of 9 businesses though, hence the name. You order at their counter and they'll bring the food to you. The beer spot has their own indoor seating if it's cold out and you don't want to freeze in the patio. Definitely a hangout spot to munch, drink & kick it. Your Homegirl, Violy

The Cochi Burger from Indie burgers along with the garlic fries. The pizza is great, try the pepperoni sausage! The empanadas try the Argentinian, the classic and the marlin ones. For beer try the Rice IPA on draft by Wendlandt. The Insurgente craft beers are a must my favorite is the Hops & Chill

Ummmm where am I? Because Colectivo9 belongs in the center of any city and sticks out like a (pretty) sore thumb in TJ. It's a plaza with several modern looking mini-shops that face in to a very mod courtyard with spots for you to sit and partake of whatever you desire. There are artisanal empanadas. There's a cool little bar with craft beer and wine. There's greek food There's wifi There's a little shopping area There is a sushi station There are delicate macarons There are beautiful burgers It's a super cool little oasis with a choose-your-own-adventure feel. If you're looking for a spot to duck into and enjoy the beautiful weather and some bites, this is it.

You guys have to check it this place if you're a foodie or if you like cool chill spots to have a crepe and frappe, or some sushi with a side of fried rice , seriously you have to try a cajeta frappe it's one of Mexico's favorite caramel, bring cash of course if you want some shrimp pasta the best I've ever had in Mexico, so far lol they have bathrooms as well, 5 pesos if you're not eating there. If you want to find a new fit there are cool shops next door that sell insta fashion, I'll attach some pics I took!

This is the food court at Avenida Revolucion with 9 restaurants with different styles of dishes. Next to it is a pub with craft beer, you can bring beer to your meal. I ordered Ramen and dark craft beer. I like wooden tables there. There is also a restroom in this place. Worth visiting. The price of a meal with craft beer is not more than the US $ 10.

When a friend told me that there was a really cool place in one of the alley on Revolucion, I honesty did not believe her. But one day before going to the bars at Callejon de la Sexta we stop for something to eat. Basically the idea is kind of a mix of food court/truck idea. They have a nice selection of food, by now I've had the burgers (Indie Burger), the Japanese rice bowl (Tatami), the empanadas Argentinian style (1987 Empanadas), and of course many of their beers (Barrica 9). Yes it has a mini beer bar, with a good selection of Mexican craft beers (some are local). If I am in the area it is one of my favorite spot to eat.

Ramen and miso at tatami, awesome. The indie burger (from indie burgers, where else) is very good and great value with wedge potatoes and a soda. Pick up a double IPA from Barrica 9 to round it off. Great place, right in the middle of the revolucion ave, watch for the black alley like entrance.

    Solo good!

A great place for lunch or dinner, or even some drinks. Its fun and energetic, and the food itself served by the restaurants is very enjoyable. My only recommendation is to open for service at 11:00 am not 1:00 pm.

@Yelp Tijuana Launch Party! This was when the chefs of each restaurant brought us amazing samples off their delicious menus :D

Amazing hidden gem in the heart of Tijuana! What an exquisite menu each restaurant offers. True chefs cooking art for you. I attended the Yelp Tijuana Launch Party here and it was a great success! Big turnout, great people, amazing food, and awesome venue. Thanks Yelp and Colectivo 9! Can't wait to go back :)

This is my favorite place to eat in Tijuana! Kind of like an artisanal food court. I usually get a few different things from different places there, but I always get the empanadas, and a Marlin quesadilla from the Italian place. Sure, it's a little pricier than street food, but well worth it.

Service was quick, and they checked in often to take additional orders. I'd recommend ordering any baked or fried rolls early in the meal since those seemed to take the longest to come out. My favorite item was the special of the day: spicy garlic tuna carpaccio, served thinly sliced with crunchy garlic oil on top. The kids really enjoyed the udon, edamame, and California rolls, and there are plenty of options for picky eaters. Price-wise, I'd say it's in line with other sushi spots. Our total came to $230 for the five of us (three adults and two kids), which worked out to about $46 per person including drinks. If you come hungry and ready to make the most of the AYCE option, it's worth it. If you're a lighter eater or only stick to one or two types of sushi, they also have a regular menu with individually priced items.

Miso soup was ok & no garlic edamame they have lemon butter edamame, if you like lemon & butter flavor you'll like it, it was ok but it lack a bit of flavor for me. Finally got to try this cute Japanese cafe we saw on TikTok, and it did not disappoint!…read more Service: [5/5] The two girls who helped us were so sweet and made the whole experience. We were seated at the bar, which ended up being such a vibe--we got to chat with the girl behind the bar and watch her make lattes and desserts right in front of us. That kind of interaction really sets this place apart. Price: [4.5/5] It's on the pricier side, but honestly it feels fair given the quality of food you're getting. You can taste where your money is going. Food/Drinks: [5/5] Matcha Latte -- We shared one, extra sweet at my request, and it was perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. Chef Soichi's Karaage -- We had this as an appetizer and my boyfriend made a point to say this is the closest he's had to traditional Japanese karaage. High praise from someone who's passionate about his Japanese culture. Hayashi Omurice -- This is their most popular dish and it's easy to see why. The demi-glaze has a really unique flavor that ties the whole dish together beautifully. This was my pick and I'd order it again without hesitation. Guratan -- My boyfriend's order, and it was incredibly creamy and delicious. We were both too stuffed for dessert by the end, which says a lot about the portion sizes. Ambience: [5/5] The restaurant is small, but honestly that's part of what makes it so charming. Pink everywhere with wooden accents and cherry blossoms throughout (very fitting)--it's cozy, homey, and just really well put together. The intimate size adds to the appeal rather than taking away from it. Overall Experience: [5/5] Hatsuzakara was such a wonderful first experience. Yes, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated arriving at 7:30 on a Friday night but for a waitlist-only spot this small, that's actually a pretty reasonable wait by San Diego standards. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff more than made up for it. Already looking forward to coming back to try the curry and work through their dessert menu.

I feel like everything looked really good, so it was hard to decide what to order. The dishes have small portion size despite the price. I think this kinda helps in that you have room to eat dessert! The brown sugar Okinawa tea was good but the after taste of the sugar was not good. They kept the tea pot warm, and they served oat milk on the side. Karaage had too much chicken skin for my preference. Guratan was penne pasta and not macaroni as specified in the menu. Yakisoba could have used more chicken. Omurice had the more flavor and the egg was really good. I want to try naporitan next time because of the tomato based sauce. Of the desserts I tried, the parfait was most enjoyable because of the fruit with ice cream. The mushi pudding was good; it was the thick and "hard" type of flan. I want to try kakigori next time because I saw their shaved ice machine was legit. Parking - free street parking only. Be prepared to walk up/downhill. You pick a broth, a rice, a noodle, a protein and you get a plate of veggies and sauces. You get an individual pot to mix your food to your liking. It is SO GOOD. I have never had a bad experience here. My go-to order is a mix of the tonktosu and spicy miso broth along with double wagyu shortrib and extra udon noodles. It's rich and filling and the veggies are fresh. I like to sub out certain veggies to get extra of others I like better (like mushrooms). I would eat here every single day if I could. The veggies they served were all great (mushrooms, emoji, bok choy, carrot, spinach, kabocha squash, with the exception of a bit too much cabbage). Access can be gained through either Coahuila Street, or through the alleyway between Cohauila St. and First Street. (FYI: Coahuila Street and this alleyway are the only safe part of this region, do NOT go venturing to any other part of Zona Norte). The main restaurant area is a short walk up a flight of stairs from those two streets. Inside, the place is clean, brightly lit, and staffed by attentive waiters and waitresses. There is plenty of seating here, despite it being pretty busy at times. My favorite dish is the filet mignon. This comes with a side of loaded baked potato, veggies, and dinner bread. I usually like to add rice. To drink, my personal favorite is the lemonade sans the sugar, their regular coffee, and sometimes, their iced mocha.
