For those of you that expand their horizon and visit Mexico. You must try these delicious empanadas!! They are like a big wonton. They are made to order and you can see the owner making them right there and using fresh ingredients. They are so fluffy, crispy out the outside and light in the inside. I absolutely love the Hawaiian one! It has mozzarella cheese, fresh pineapple, and ham. They accompany them with a chipotle sauce and it just ties the entire dish together! Bam huge explosion in my mouth! Their apple pie empanada tastes just like a McDonald's apple pie but better! It's delicious. They have a combo, where you get 2 empanadas of your choice, along with a side of delicious, fresh salad and a side of freshly made mint lemonade. These empanadas are crack! You can't just have one. After that first bite, you'll keep wanting more.

Walk all the way down to get to the low key spot!

The illest food court I've ever been to. It's located on Revolution avenue. You gotta go down a narrow hallway to get to the food court. When I visited they had a sushi/ramen joint, a burger spot, empanadas, a beer spot & I can't remember the rest. A total of 9 businesses though, hence the name. You order at their counter and they'll bring the food to you. The beer spot has their own indoor seating if it's cold out and you don't want to freeze in the patio. Definitely a hangout spot to munch, drink & kick it. Your Homegirl, Violy

Cochi Burger

The Cochi Burger from Indie burgers along with the garlic fries. The pizza is great, try the pepperoni sausage! The empanadas try the Argentinian, the classic and the marlin ones. For beer try the Rice IPA on draft by Wendlandt. The Insurgente craft beers are a must my favorite is the Hops & Chill

Ummmm where am I? Because Colectivo9 belongs in the center of any city and sticks out like a (pretty) sore thumb in TJ. It's a plaza with several modern looking mini-shops that face in to a very mod courtyard with spots for you to sit and partake of whatever you desire. There are artisanal empanadas. There's a cool little bar with craft beer and wine. There's greek food There's wifi There's a little shopping area There is a sushi station There are delicate macarons There are beautiful burgers It's a super cool little oasis with a choose-your-own-adventure feel. If you're looking for a spot to duck into and enjoy the beautiful weather and some bites, this is it.

You guys have to check it this place if you're a foodie or if you like cool chill spots to have a crepe and frappe, or some sushi with a side of fried rice , seriously you have to try a cajeta frappe it's one of Mexico's favorite caramel, bring cash of course if you want some shrimp pasta the best I've ever had in Mexico, so far lol they have bathrooms as well, 5 pesos if you're not eating there. If you want to find a new fit there are cool shops next door that sell insta fashion, I'll attach some pics I took!

Ramen and dark craft beer

This is the food court at Avenida Revolucion with 9 restaurants with different styles of dishes. Next to it is a pub with craft beer, you can bring beer to your meal. I ordered Ramen and dark craft beer. I like wooden tables there. There is also a restroom in this place. Worth visiting. The price of a meal with craft beer is not more than the US $ 10.

When a friend told me that there was a really cool place in one of the alley on Revolucion, I honesty did not believe her. But one day before going to the bars at Callejon de la Sexta we stop for something to eat. Basically the idea is kind of a mix of food court/truck idea. They have a nice selection of food, by now I've had the burgers (Indie Burger), the Japanese rice bowl (Tatami), the empanadas Argentinian style (1987 Empanadas), and of course many of their beers (Barrica 9). Yes it has a mini beer bar, with a good selection of Mexican craft beers (some are local). If I am in the area it is one of my favorite spot to eat.

Ramen and miso at tatami, awesome. The indie burger (from indie burgers, where else) is very good and great value with wedge potatoes and a soda. Pick up a double IPA from Barrica 9 to round it off. Great place, right in the middle of the revolucion ave, watch for the black alley like entrance.

Solo good!

A great place for lunch or dinner, or even some drinks. Its fun and energetic, and the food itself served by the restaurants is very enjoyable. My only recommendation is to open for service at 11:00 am not 1:00 pm.

Amazing hidden gem in the heart of Tijuana! What an exquisite menu each restaurant offers. True chefs cooking art for you. I attended the Yelp Tijuana Launch Party here and it was a great success! Big turnout, great people, amazing food, and awesome venue. Thanks Yelp and Colectivo 9! Can't wait to go back :)

Wow this place is awesome. I heard about this place through the TJ Yelp Launch Party. For those who don't know, Colectivo 9 is a hidden gem off Revolution Avenue which has a variety of cuisines in a circle with seating in the middle. The place is very aesthetic and very clean. I went to get a burger at Indie Burger but they said they were sold out so I settled for a beer at Barrica. I had a 20 ounce beer on-tap and it was delicious. Basically I came on a Sunday evening to relax and try out a different spot and left pretty impressed. I am planning on organizing a meetup expedition to Colectivo 9 in a few weeks. Disfruta!

I came in with a party of 4 & as soon as we sat down we sort of told our server our plans for that night and that we had a movie reservation in about 45 min. Justin made our experience worthwhile. He was aware we were in a time crunch so he took our orders & brought them out seamlessly. He was kind, funny, and was able to display a level of hospitality I haven't seen in a long time! The food was delicious and I love coming here for the food, HOWEVER, the service is was really exceeded my expectations this time. Thank you for taking care of us Justin!

For this go around, my daughter and I ate strictly Nigiri. We had Citrus Soy Salmon, Garlic Ponzu Salmon, Smoked Salmon, Salmon Belly, Seared Tuna Crunch, Eel, Spicy Salmon, Shrimp, Yellowtail, & Umami Oil Salmon. This is definitely the route to go when doing the AYCE option to maximize the value! Food came out quickly and the staff were super nice and attentive. Fish was fresh and everything was so tasty! Loved the birthday singing and sign! The boys got free ice cream for their birthday celebration! Restaurant was busy but not too busy where you have to wait for a seat. Definitely a place to go to for some good sushi.

First let me start with the customer service, it was great, from the door to getting seated to the waiters checking on us & the cooks smiling & the speed & quality of the service was all great. And the prices are very reasonable, they don't open till 5 tho, for dinner basically, weekends can get busy so get there early. The food was very good, I got the Chula Vita Ramen & I'd get it again, very filling & flavorful. The sushi was very fresh & good & filling as well, Abre La Boca Mucho was our fav roll, it can be shared with another person for sure, Viva Chula Vista was a good roll too. Miso soup was ok & no garlic edamame they have lemon butter edamame, if you like lemon & butter flavor you'll like it, it was ok but it lack a bit of flavor for me. My fav item here was the Jalapeño Popper as an appetizer, 8 pieces & man let me tell you, it was mouth watering & on point, it's a must to start with. Overall I good little spot & we come again for sure, keep up the good work Naruto & see you soon :)

Food 5/5 -Hayashi Omurice $20, wow it's no wonder why almost everybody that comes orders this dish. The flavor is so rich but not overwhelming, every ingredient tasted so seasoned, soft and compliments each other perfectly. It really tasted so authentic like I was in a cafe in Japan. -Hot hatsu curry udon $22, the curry broth was a soft slurry that coated every strand of al dente udon. The green onions made it so refreshing, beef was tender but the ultimate stars were surprisingly the super soft carrots and potatoes that have absorbed all of the curry's essence. I enjoyed every bite out of this bowl. Ambiance 5/5 -The space is pretty small and intimate but very comfortable, pink floral theme throughout and with one of the cleanest bathrooms I have seen in a restaurant(warm bidet seat included).

We had heard so many…read morerave reviews and were craving some good Japanese comfort food, so we put our name down despite the quoted 45-60 minute wait. Ended up being closer to an hour, and by the time we got seated, we were definitely starving. We started with Chef Soichi's Karaage, which honestly ended up being the biggest disappointment of the meal. Not much flavor and definitely not what we were expecting given all the hype around this place. The clear winner of the day was my son's Hayashi Omurice -- super comforting, flavorful. My daughter and I split the Yakisoba, which was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The Guratan was creamy, cheesy penne pasta dish and definitely a kid pleaser. My husband ordered the Hatsuzakura Curry with chicken substituted in, and while solid, it still felt hard to justify the price point overall. We had originally planned to try the Onigiri too, but after seeing multiple reviews mention the rice-to-filling ratio being off, we decided to skip it. Dessert definitely redeemed the experience a bit. The Mango Matcha Kakigori was the family favorite and perfect for sharing, while the Coffee Jelly was appreciated by my coffee-loving hubby. Overall, a 3.5 star experience. Themenu felt pretty simple and honestly overpriced for what you get. The space itself is also very tiny with limited seating, so be prepared for a wait. That said, the service was excellent throughout the meal -- the staff were extremely courteous and kept checking in after we were seated and updating us on kitchen wait times, which we really appreciated. For us, this felt more like a drinks-and-desserts spot than somewhere we'd go out of our way for a full meal again.

The Creamy Mentai Udon is a must-try: rich creamy flavor, savory pollock roe with no fishy taste, and perfectly chewy noodles that are absolutely addictive. The…read moreplace is not that big, with U-shaped bar seating and the servers in the middle which makes for quick and attentive service. When checking in be aware your whole party must be there to be seated and it is likely that you will end up next to another party as there are no separate tables. They have premium meats and know that it is NOT AYCE like some other shabu shabu places, so beware it will be a bit pricy depending on what you choose. You pick a broth, a rice, a noodle, a protein and you get a plate of veggies and sauces. You get an individual pot to mix your food to your liking. It is SO GOOD. I have never had a bad experience here. My go-to order is a mix of the tonktosu and spicy miso broth along with double wagyu shortrib and extra udon noodles. It's rich and filling and the veggies are fresh. I like to sub out certain veggies to get extra of others I like better (like mushrooms). I would eat here every single day if I could. If you don't finish your rice and broth they'll put it in a to-go container for you so you can have your "porridge" later. Drink menu is good too, they have rotating selection of drinks available, as well as sake, wine, and beer on tap.

Japanese hot pot? Ok…read more Driven by the place many many times and always assumed it was a ramen spot. We decided to give it a try after realizing it was hot pot. We walked in and just one other couple was dining. Happy hour from 5-6. Our waitress immediately explained how the menu worked and gave us cooking tips. I ordered the miso broth with pork and toro. We also had the chuck roll and brisket. The chuck roll and the pork were delicious. Would definitely skip the toro and brisket next time. The veggies they served were all great (mushrooms, emoji, bok choy, carrot, spinach, kabocha squash, with the exception of a bit too much cabbage). The experience can a little a bit of an endeavor if you've never done it solo, as you solely have to pay constant attention to the pot while trying to eat at the same time. It can be hard to hold a conversation when your food is boiling boiling hot! Definitely a laborous experience but a fun one!

I'm not going to go into the obvious of what kind of establishment is linked to this restaurant…read more All I will say is that it is more for adults, as people who work in the adjacent nightclub come here to eat on their break. I will focus this review strictly on the food and service. I've come here periodically to get some food during my excursions to baja. This place is located in Zona Norte along Coahuila Street. Access can be gained through either Coahuila Street, or through the alleyway between Cohauila St. and First Street. (FYI: Coahuila Street and this alleyway are the only safe part of this region, do NOT go venturing to any other part of Zona Norte). The main restaurant area is a short walk up a flight of stairs from those two streets. Inside, the place is clean, brightly lit, and staffed by attentive waiters and waitresses. There is plenty of seating here, despite it being pretty busy at times. My favorite dish is the filet mignon. This comes with a side of loaded baked potato, veggies, and dinner bread. I usually like to add rice. To drink, my personal favorite is the lemonade sans the sugar, their regular coffee, and sometimes, their iced mocha. The food is pretty good here, very flavorful and prepped with care. The price matches the quality. Paying in cash here is far less of a hassle than paying with card. They require you to let them photo-copy your ID, and for your signature to match meticulously.
