Cabanna in Hipódromo delivered across the board. I ordered an assortment of tacos--the milanesa was easily the highlight. Crispy, cheesy, topped with fries, and somehow still balanced. The fried shrimp taco with chipotle mayo and avocado was crunchy and well-executed, while the carne asada with guac and pico kept things classic and satisfying. The raw shrimp aguachile served on thin jícama slices with a smoky black salsa was unforgettable--bright, spicy, and full of bold flavor. The jícama added a clean crunch that tied it all together. The shrimp salad was fresh and colorful with strawberries, candied nuts, and goat cheese, and the salsa verde cream pasta with shrimp was rich and tasty, without feeling heavy. Service was excellent--attentive, friendly, and on point the whole time. The bar is also worth a mention: wide drink menu, good cocktails, and a great vibe to hang around after the meal. Overall, Cabanna hits that sweet spot of flavor, variety, and energy. I'll be back.
The food was amazing! Service was great! The ambiance was relaxing (we sat outside). I highly recommend eating here. From drinks to desserts, everything was delicious! Check out the photos. You do have to pay for parking. We just walked in no reservations.

This is our new " go-to" for fancy dinner in Tiajuana! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you're just in a perfect dining environment. The white staff our first class arm meal was a little bit of this and that and we shared it and there was no problem extra clean plates and silverware and napkins were bought in between each of our courses. And we had decided that we had a little bit too much seafood this trip so we decided to add in the pork ribs that was such a perfect addition! This strawberry apple pear, pecan goat cheese salad without a shrimp was sweet and savory at the same time. We absolutely devoured that dish we hadn't disagreement as to which of the survey samplers were the best. I enjoyed the one with the fried mung beans Asian style, and my friend was more of a straight tuna girl. Both were delicious extra wasabi was brought quickly. The drinks were good. It's warm outside in the covered patio with the heaters during the winter and that almost seems like a more lively place to sit highly highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing experience! Delicious food, attentive service, beautiful decor, excellent prices. I'm allergic to cilantro, which all three salsas they brought to the table had. Our server immediately removed them, and told us that he was going to ask the kitchen if they could make something special and spicy for us. Didn't ask, just let us know. A few minutes later, this smokey, spicy avocado salad appeared and WOW! ¡Muy Delicioso! If we come back through TJ, Cabanna is a MUST stop!!

My friend brought me to Cabanna as she frequents it when she comes down to Tijuana. The restaurant is located at the upper level of the mall in which you park at the lot and receive a parking ticket upon the entrance. I could imagine this restaurant being busy especially in summer as it has a beautiful patio space with boho light fixtures and the dining tables resembling a beach cabana. I couldn't eat any meat or seafood at the time, so I opted for a Burrata and Tomato Salad. It was a generous portion of leafy greens. A burrata ball was sliced in half, and the salad was topped with sliced almonds, cherry tomatoes, and a sweet sauce. To drink I had a popping boba tea drink called Té Helado Pops. It was a peach tea and the popping boba was sweet, but I couldn't distinguish the fruity flavor. My salad was filling and refreshing although I wish I could have tried their seafood! The service was extremely attentive! My friends ordered their battered shrimp, and shrimp tostadas all which looked very appetizing. Their tostadas are so light and airy and their salsas are packed with flavor. Really great first impression and I will hopefully be back to give their seafood a chance!
This is my favorite restaurant to go to when my dog is in Tijuana for teeth cleaning. The food is super fresh, and the salsas are delicious. Great service too!
Cabanna is an upscale seafood restaurant in Tijuana. The seafood was great, flavors, presentation, all absolutely amazing. The portions were more like appetizers, not like meals. Small. The pricing was decent, but when you factor in that you are paying for appetizer portions, it makes you think twice about returning to Cabannas. This is the pace to be if you want to be sent as a high class, classy, and elegant socialite. This is where all the cool and rich people hang out. Loved the food, was caught off guard by their smaller than normal portion sizes.
This is our favorite restaurant to go in Tijuana ... the customer service you get here is impeccably perfect . There's a few things we highly recommend.... The jicama taco filled with coconut shrimp and a splash of some kind of citrus salsa , the quesito taco it's like a quesadilla taco with shrimp and slices of avocado . The ribeye taquitos and we tried ribeye steak that was brought out in a small Grill with asparagus and potatoes to drink I had a corona and shots , my husband likes fruity drinks got the tamarindo slushy martini and the cucumber drink . The restaurant has a mix of art deco / NY style vibes , they also have cabanas outside for seating if you feel like catching a breeze or a little bit of sun . This is our favorite and we will never get tired of coming here , the experience and service is above and beyond and I wished we had that more in other establishments...

I loved everything about this restaurant. We came in from Los Angeles to watch Norway vs England and enjoyed every aspect of the dining experience. From the impeccable service to the delicious food and fun atmosphere, this spot was a vibe. The mango aguaschiles and pulpo were outstanding. Do yourself a favor and get some food here. We loved it! No wonder it has awesome reviews. We arrived on a Saturday evening and there was a huge line but we only waited 30 minutes. They give you complementary Micheladas while you wait. Food: 5/5 Everything tasted amazing! the seafood was fresh and everything we tasted was just really tasty! The ceviche Loreto was soo fresh and melted in your mouth. Drinks: 5/5 Yum fresh, delicious and strong! My favorite was the frozen Mojito I thought it had milk but it was like a raspado! Ambiance: 5/5 Music playing to add to the vibes! Beautifully modern decorated with dim lights! Service: 5/5 Amazing! Very attentive waiter that explained some of the items. Parking: 5/5 We ubered so no need to find parking but there is a huge lot with like 4 floors. Plenty of Parking. It is located in an outside type of mall. There are a couple of restaurants in that same center to pick from! I for sure will come back next time I visit TJ!! read more
Once again, the Tijuana gastronomic scene in Mexico, has stunned me. I am magnetized by the Paseo Chapultepec location, an anchor, of what I think is the home to some of the best restaurants in Tijuana. Not surprising then that, I once again gravitate towards this destination, whenever the opportunity presents. So, I finally got to Cabanna, a place that has been on my radar for quite a while. My last try here, several weeks ago was a failure, because they closed the kitchen (un announced) at 9:30 pm (I got there at 9:45 pm, due to the advertised closing time of 11 pm). Anyway, no hard feelings. All I can say is that I am so glad that I was here earlier (this time at 8:00 pm). LOL. At the onset, I must say that the service was extraordinary. So many servers attending to me. The ambiance and decor is classy. You can smell and see, that you have arrived. My desire was to try as many menu items that were possible, with the accent on something different and unique, as per my past dining escapades. So I started with the Leche de Tigre, a soup with shrimp broth, cucumber and onion. Wow, just spectacular in presentation and content. My second, was one of the owner's favorites, the Quesitos Cabanna (a Taco with Shrimp, crunchy cheese, avocado and chipotle mayo). Another superb concoction. Thirdly, it was time to try a ceviche and went for the Punta Mita. It comes with fresh Tuna, pistachios (this was what attracted me) and avocado, seasoned with habanero mayo, on a blue corn tostada. Truly and amazing assembly of flavors, crunch and textures. Finally, I had to try a beef item. My choice was one of the Tacos de Res, the Che. This is Argentinean style thinly sliced beef fillet with chimchurri, lettuce and tomato. I was blown away by the aroma, grill char, juiciness and tender fabric of the beef. Yes, enough said. Cabanna is an outstanding culinary center, one of many that must be savored, anytime you are south of our exciting and colorful California border. read more

We actually were going to eat at Lorenza but it wasn't opening until 2pm and it was noon. An employee of the mall said try Cabanna it's amazing. So we did and we were not disappointed! We just got back eating our way through France and let me tell you it was France all over again. Of course it wasn't French cuisine but the quality, flavor and presentation was out of this world. Our waiter Pedro Arias was so sweet and just wonderful. He knew the menu thoroughly. He guided us picking several wonderful dishes that we all shared. We had two types of ceviche, shrimp tacos, Huge shrimps with cream cheese in a crispy batter and steak in a roll. The sauces, salsa just all incredible. I wish we had taken pictures of our main meal but we were too busy enjoying the experience. We did take pictures of desert hahahahha! Highly, highly recommend going here!! read more

Insane spot, great ambiance, and exquisite food. Definitely have drinks! They go above and beyond here with their cocktails This place is in one of the safest areas of Tijuana.... you can see the difference in their patrons. Well off locals, and tourists like ourselves. We were in Tijuana for a quick trip and came across this place on Yelp. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed at all. Everything from the food, drinks, service, location was superb. I really wanted to try more of the dishes on the menu, but was simply too full. This place is definitely going on my frequent list as I must try the rest of the menu. Prices are affordable and love the outside view and from what I've heard this place gets busy on the weekends and night time with people who just want to enjoy a nice cocktail. If you are ever in TJ, don't hesitate to give this place a try! read more

Joel was one of the managers when I was there and I have to say that he is amazing at his job! Was able to recommend, and the best of it all was the fact that after I explained how I wanted my food he made sure the server had it right and when the food came out IT WAS PERFECT!! The whole place was clean, very quiet too and servers wouldn't allow trash or dirty dishes to pile up. My friends and I decided to make this a favorite spot! I'm definitely going to show my friends this spot ----------Spanish---------- Joel era uno de los gerentes cuando estuve allí y debo decir que es increíble en su trabajo. I took my husband Barak Zilberberg Nevadas Candidate and Future Governor of Nevada for 2022! My all time favorite mariscos restaurant in Tijuana. It's beyond elegant, staff is unbelievably 5 stars, food is 10 stars, flavor is out of this world. We were waiting for some errands to finish and had the perfect lunch. Never disappoints. I have been here a few times and regret not writing about this place sooner! From the US it's not too hard to get there and the area has some other great food choices as well. For us, it was a short wait but outside of the restaurant there's plenty of places to wait and they even had s covered area with seats. At the host check in booth, they had some appetizers and drinks for free! Helpful, fast service, and you could really get a sense for the teamwork and how happy the employees were from the hostess, bussers, waiters, chefs, and managers. Everything on the menu that I've had from my visits has been amazing and there's a little something for everyone whether you like sweet, savory, seafood, etc. Will definitely be back to see what's on the menu the next time I'm in Tijuana! read more
Came here for my meal after arriving in Mexico. The hospitality here is great, I was greeted as I arrived and told that my party was waiting for me seated in the patio. As an added bonus, most of the staff here spoke English! As we sat the patio, we got a great view of the city as the waiter came by to ask me what we wanted to drink. We ended up getting sangrias and it came quick! They were very delicious and refreshing!! Tostadas and hot sauces are served while you wait for your food, in a neat and fashionable setting. We ended up getting the Camerones. It was fresh, succulent, big, and drenched in dark sauce. One of the best I've ever tried! Also ordered a Pacifico and it came in a bottle. I wish the place had more beer selections, and actually have draft beers! If they had draft, it will check off all the points on my list!! read more
