    Ceviche de Camarón ($260 pesos)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Ceviche de Camarón ($260 pesos) Tostada Red Snapper ($110 pesos) Mezcalita Mangazo ($165 pesos) Aya's take: Very cute outdoor seating area! We start off with the complimentary chips and dips. We even got a small bowl of soup which I thought was interesting. It was soothing and light in flavor. The Tostada Red Snapper is what they're known for (aka La Original). It's super fresh, citrusy, and almost melts in your mouth. The Ceviche de Camarón was beautifully presented and way too much for 2 people! I wish our waiter told us that; we would've got the tostada portion instead. I'm not a fan of mezcal but the Mezcalita Mangazo wasn't as smoky due to the sweetness from the mango and slushy consistency. Great spot to check out in TJ and overall about ~$33 which would've cost way more in the States!

Customers beware! They charge 3% of your total bill if you use your card, worst part is they won't even tell you. This is not like other restaurants where they charge a flat amount to use credit card, so bring cash! Also if you have coins as change, you won't get it back, they will only give you back the bills. Great atmosphere, the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and has a tropical paradise vibe. Menu consists of Raw Bar, Tacos, From the Grill and 2 kinds of soup there are very limited options. I got the fish taco and the Kalifornia taco both came in separate plates and no sides like rice and beans. We also got Shrimp and Octopus Cocktail, it came with 3 pcs of tostada. Food was good but for the price of $8 - $9 per taco I expected better and more. We left hungry and spent almost $85 just on food. Why not serve complementary chips and salsa? To use 3% to use credit card was a turn off for me, food was ok but could be better. Service was a bit slow but I guess they are still new and getting used to the flow customers. Food portion was small and pricy. I actually enjoyed the old restaurant before it became La Corriente. It was called Las Morelanias, there were more items on the menu, food tastes better and I was full when I leave.

Always a win here! I always park behind this spot when I visit the area. I start here for a bite. My staple is the red snappy tostada or the ahi tostada ... but there is so much more of the menu to explore so I've been venturing out. I recently started ordering the cucumber margarita I used to always get the smoky old fashioned (and still love it) Whatever you order .. you won't be disappointed Prices have gone up her (as they have everywhere) but I always leave happy after a meal her

Decided to cross into Tijuana for the day to do some exploring and make my own "taco tour." This place is located just a block away from Revolucion so you can easily walk here from the border crossing. It's a nice sit down restaurant with table service and cloth napkins so much nicer than most places that will likely be just a walk up taco stand or casual joint with paper napkins. The are most famous for their red snapper tostada which I got. When it arrived I noticed that the fish was not cubed but rather sliced. It came on a homemade tostada which was crunchy and had more ground corn texture than your store bought tostada. It came topped with avocado, pickled onions, aioli, and tajin. I'll preface by saying im not usually a fan of ceviche because all I usually taste is lime or citrus. The citrus was dialed down a bit so the other flavors came thru. So I appreciated that I was not just tasting cubed fish that was drowned in lime juice. Although this place specializes in ceviche, my favorite dish was the Carnitas de Atun, Tuna carnitas. The large cubes of tuna were marinated in lime juice and cooked or flash fried, so they had a much more meaty texture. This is the dish I'd return for. We came early so there was no line. I'd probably avoid peak lunch or dinner hours. Service was nice and friendly, they spoke English, but the menus were in Spanish, I knew enough of the food words to get by, but im sure the waiters would be more than happy to help you out. The meal came with some complementary chips and salsa and a cup of consume. Its a nice break from your walk up taco stands and casual dining to have a nice place to sit and relax. I suggest going early, to avoid crowds.

It had been awhile since I've eaten here and went back last week. I ordered the shrimp ccocktail and clam chowder. Both were excellent! CONCLUSION: I Reccomend this resturant!

Lunch in Tijuana, Mexico... This was our first foodie tour stop. We had a choice of outdoor or indoor seating. We chose indoor because of the air conditioning. We had been walking for a while and needed a nice rest break. We had the opportunity to have an authentic Mexican Coca-Cola - yay! It went well with the crunchy complimentary tortilla chips! The four different dips were fun to try! We were encouraged to get the tostada, so, I got the La Corriente Tostada. It had a combination of shrimp, fish, and octopus ceviche. Everything was fresh and tasty! Service was professional and polite. Our server was dressed in coat and tie! At the end of the meal, he included some complimentary candy with our bill. The environment was calm, quiet, and on the darker side, making it a more elegant ambiance. We appreciated the convenient restroom and pleasant venue to gather up our energy for a few more foodie stops!

We visited Cevicheria La Mas Nais in Tijuana's El Centro area for lunch just after they opened on a Sunday afternoon. They have an outdoor patio as well as an inside dining room available and we chose to sit inside. The hostess was pleasant and walked us over to a booth with comfortable padded seats over wooden benches. We were greeted promptly by the waiter who brought over complimentary chips and a variety of salsas along with a little cup of consomé. He gave us a few minutes to look over the drink menu and then returned to take our order. The inside of the restaurant is quite unique with interesting lighting fixtures (different over each table) and chandeliers throughout the dining room. There is also a disco ball which I assume is for later at night on weekends but I didn't confirm. There was some mellow music playing at a comfortable level for conversations to occur. For drinks we ordered a Cucumber Martini and a Tamarrico. I absolutely loved the Cucumber Martini for its refreshing flavor on a summer day and my partner enjoyed the Tamarrico that is made with a smoky Mezcal. We also ordered an appetizer of Camarones Roca. The Camarones Roca was tasty and fresh and pairs well with the spicy mayo salsa they provide you. For our main courses we decided to split the Tuna Steak and an order of 2 Tacos Árabes de Camarón. The tacos have onion, cilantro cheese and shrimp in a flour tortilla. Honestly they were the best bite of the entire experience albeit they were a bit small for the price. The Tuna Steak was presented attractively with a side of rice and was plated on top of some fresh vegetables. There were also caramelized onions on top. Unfortunately while the taste was on point we found the steak to be a bit more chewy than we had expected which indicated it may have been a little bit overcooked. It wasn't so bad that we would send it back but if you decide to order this be sure to inform them not to overcook the steak. There were plenty of servers available to help and they were prompt in clearing plates as you finished. We would definitely recommend giving this place a shot. I only mark the food down one star because of the chewiness.

Park on the street and pay with coins. The food is good here. I only needed a fish taco and a tostada to get me full. Fresh seafood and good flavors.

La Corriente Cevichería Nais is usually our first stop on a group foodie trip to Tijuana. It's not a far walk from the arch on Av Revolucion (roughly five blocks) which makes it convenient as an initial lunch spot. Some of us had actually visited this restaurant as part of an organized food tour several years ago. The host took a temperature scan of each of our foreheads before letting us enter. There were several tables outside on the back patio which is where we sat this time. The inside was colorfully decorated and featured seafood like the red snapper which is their specialty. I ordered two tostadas, one Red Snapper and one of their namesake, La Corriente. The red snapper was so fresh. It was dressed with cebolla morada (red onion), aguacate (avocado), aioli, and chile piquin (hot chili pepper). The La Corriente contained shrimp, octopus, and fish ceviche as the seafood proteins. It also had the same toppings as the Red Snapper tostada along with pepino (cucumber). The cost was terrific at 175 pesos for both which was less than $10. I also got a mango agua fresca for 50 pesos which came in a huge margarita sized glass. While we were there, the clientele seemed to be quite touristy which I am not sure is a good thing, but perhaps it has a good reputation with visitors. What I do know is that I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend folks to sample the seafood here as it's worth the time and cost while in Tijuana.

If you like good seafood/drinks and you're in TJ look no further, this place rocks!! I was very happily surprised. The oysters, the ahi tuna tostada & the Ensenada shrimp taco were all 5 stars! This place is a couple blocks from Revolution and the entrance is on the parking lot side- it took us a second to find it but sooooo glad I did. They have indoor & outdoor outdoor seating as well. We will definitely be coming back to this spot & bring friends. It's a tropical vibe, good ambiance & service. This is 100% a gem (It's been open 11 years). They have specialty drinks, really tasty & strong. Free chips and salsa- also fantastic! I'm writing this review at the table & I already want to come back.. Don't miss trying this place if you go to TJ!! Happy eating.

Great food, great and fast service, nice presentation, great wine list and the best ceviche in town! Casual-upscale ambiance, sometimes with music in the patio. I prefer indoors but they do have both options during summer.

This place is always packed full of people. It's definitely not a tourist trap like how other places are. It's located about 10 minutes from downtown Tijuana. The menu is all in Spanish. Luckily, the waiter understands a little bit of english so I can still get by. I normally don't care for octopus but this place definitely made me change my mind. OMG the octopus tacos were delicious. I've never had octopus that are flavorful and perfectly cooked till I came here. Probably the best octopus tacos I've had. We also ordered a mocajete with shrimps and cactus, a bowl of pozole with shrimps. The mocajete was delicious. Shrimps and sauce were on point. I didn't care much for the soup though. It was too salty for me. You should definitely stop by if you're in town and in the mood the some delicious seafood!

This place named itself "sushi bar," but it also says it's an authentic Mexican seafood restaurant?…read moreThat feels like an identity crisis lol. I was given chips, salsa, and an appetizer soup thing in a cup. The chips were fine. I thought the soup was alright. I didn't like the salsa as I found it too watery and lacking in flavor, more like a hot sauce than a salsa. I ordered two hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll and a salmon skin roll. I thought they were good. I found the salmon skin too crispy and deep fried for my preference, but it was still good. Finally, I realized that not only do I never eat authentic Mexican seafood, I'm not even sure what that entails. So I dug through the menu and saw something called "Don Tono," described as stuffed with seafood, but without much other explanation. I asked the waitress what this Don Tono is exactly, and to my surprise, she wasn't sure either. So, of course I had to order it. It was a big thing of aluminum foil with goodies inside, kinda like a seafood bake. It was good, although I found the flavor to be a undertuned. I would've liked some Cajun seasoning. The best texture and taste was probably the fish itself as it was light and flaky without being mushy, and it absorbed the umami of some of the other seafood. I thought the shrimp and shellfish were just okay, and maybe just a tad overcooked for me. Honestly, I was also not a huge fan of the cheese here; I feel like it doesn't quite fit. I also got some rice and salad with it, which were both fine.
