Tasty food, yet it is missing the Real Chinese cuisine that I know. When I visited Mexicali from childhood, Chinese Food has been a staple on the family gatherings, and this place is close but not the real deal. BBQ pork was dry, fried rice lacked ingredients, soup was bland three ingredients, and the meat choices were mostly chicken? Love to visit the spot , it was affordable and friendly. Decided to try Ying Li because I heard Chinese food is best by the border and they weren't kidding! After a recent trip to Hong Kong, my husband and I were craving some Chinese Food. I usually go to Convoy but wanted to try something different. When I looked at their bbq pork photo on yelp, I knew I had to try it. We ordered the shrimp egg foo yong, bbq pork fried rice and duck wonton noodle soup. All of them were very good. I also liked that they box up your meal after you're done even though there is a small fee to do so, which I don't mind since I usually end up spilling food on myself when I do it. They also offered lemon with water and chopsticks. Service was quick & friendly and the lady even added extra broth to our wonton noodle soup. Most of the servers spoke in Spanish and the menu is even in Spanglish. My husband and I loved the food & unique atmosphere of Chinese servers speaking Spanish. Absolutely terrible. Waited an hour for our food. Kept asking for a refund and they refused. They just kept stalling. Tables got their food who came in 20-30 minutes after us. They do not prioritize to gos. Very rude. Did not apologize or let us know the food would be a while. read more

Recent local find! Went there for lunch with coworkers, the place was well lit, clean, and quite a few tables with customers too! Got good business. They opened a location in Chula Vista as well. It was my coworker's request to have lunch catered from here for her last few days at work. We each chose several entrees and didn't realize how big they were going to be- there was definitely a lot of food leftover! My personal favorites were the bbq pork and noodle dishes. Everything else was pretty good though- from the cream cheese wontons to the chop suey, to the chow mein and rice dishes. My cousin recommended this cute authentic Chinese restaurant in San Ysidro. We were seated right away and greeted with a very bubbly attitude ! We tried Tsingtao beer that's our new favorite beer , honestly better than Sapporo . We order wonton soup the broth was so authentic reminds me of the Chinese food we used to eat in Tijuana growing up , along with king pao chicken , Cantonese chicken , salt&pepper wings and the chicken fried rice is the best one by far in San Diego !!! We came to this place during lunch time at work, this is definitely a hole in the wall! We got the sweet and sour chicken and Kung pao chicken. The sweet/sour wasn't my favorite - the sauce was rather sweet. The Kung pao was spicy but on point. We got fried rice and cream cheese wontons as well, which were good buys. Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant 1 star. We called in our order and went 15 minutes later to pick it up. I stayed in the car and my boyfriend went inside to pick it up. They told him they gave it to the wrong person but they would remake the order. He was waiting inside for about 15 minutes. Suddenly a truck pulls up, and I was in the car right next to the truck. The young male worker came to the driver side of the truck and was laughing saying he took the wrong order but he was going to give him the one the truck brought back.... (I'm literally listening to the whole conversation because Im parked right next to the truck) The worker hides the bag and goes through the back...(the bag of food they are going to give to my boyfriend) I immediately call my boyfriend and tell him not to take the food, I just find it gross that it went to another household and they brought the food back.... not sanitary. The young male worker comes back to the truck and they are laughing because they gave the food back and the restaurant was going to say they made it fresh! He kept laughing saying who cares he's gonna take it. He still doesn't notice me in the car. My boyfriend asked for a refund and they hesitated trying to open the boxes and act like it was fresh food... Use to enjoy the food their once in a while. Place looks nice, clean, lots of seating. Customer service is basic. But what is disturbing, is what I seen out back. Fried chicken left outside, next to a mop. I get they maybe needed room, but this image is horrible. I stayed behind the store for about 10minutes just to see if it was being tossed about because I eat there. I seen two woman grab the chicken from there. So sad to see.
