We came to Mimosa Mia for breakfast with my husband, son, and me around 9 in the morning, and there was absolutely no wait. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by such kind and welcoming staff. The restaurant is gorgeous and has such a nice vibe beautiful space and a really great atmosphere. We were offered bread to start, and the white concha was so sweet and delicious. My husband and son had the Ferrero Rocher croissant and absolutely loved it. One thing that really stood out was that they have a room designated for kids and toddlers where they'll watch them while you eat for free. You can also keep an eye on them through a TV/camera setup, which is such a thoughtful touch for parents. They're also pet friendly, which I love. I got the chipotle cremosos chilaquiles with scrambled egg, and my husband got the Mimosa Mia chilaquiles. Both dishes were AMAZING and so flavorful. Everything looked just as good as it tasted. One of the best seafood places I have experienced. First, the parking can be valeted or you grab a ticket and pay it later. The cost is usually 5.00USD. As soon as you walk in, this place is packed. The hostess will most of the time open the door for you. We were warmly greeted and was brought to our table in the patio area. The view is beautiful. Our servers were constantly working like clock work and very attentive to us. Service here is excellent. We ordered so many different seafood plates and everything was fresh and flavorful. FOREIGNERS BEWARE!!!! My friends and I travelled to lion Fish restaurant because it was highly recommended to us by a friend who lives in Tj. The food was tasty and we were able to read their menu the "English version" which made things very easy since we don't speak Spanish. The restaurant was clean and they had valet parking and the staff members were friendly "I think". We were so impressed that we planned on coming back in a few weeks. Everything was going great until it was time to pay for our meal, I ask for the bill from the waiter and he was gone for a while and I wonder what took so long. He returned with the receipt it had the total printed on the receipt like normal and on the corner of the receipt on the bottom hand written with ink pen was a service fee of over 1500 pesos. I asked him what the ink writing on the side was for and he told me it was a service fee. I asked him to explain what a service fee was... and he said it was a fee for all of the workers like the bartender, security etc. That didn't make much sense to me, then I asked him if I have to pay the service fee? He said no I don't, but that that's how they do it at their restaurants. I asked him if it was a tip? He said no, it's service fee. I told him I'll give him a tip on the side, Then I gave him a $20 bill. I thought he was going to be happy with that but no. Then he said ...you don't wanna pay the service fee? I told him... no I'm not paying the service fee because I didn't have anything to do with the bartender or everybody else...he was the only one that served me and he was the only one I was going to tip. He told me not to worry, I asked for the receipt and he handed me the receipt and left. I noticed him and a few of the other waiters gathering and whispering to each other and staring at my friends and I. It's really made us feel uncomfortable and then all of a sudden one of them came to us and asked for the receipt back aggressively. I told him I'll give him the receipt back but he has to give me a copy. He left with the receipt and came back with another receipts that looks similar to the first one they gave me but without the hand writing on the side for the service fee. That proved to me right away that they were trying to pull a fast one on us because we were foreigners. I called my friend that recommend the place to us and he assured me they have never charged him for a service fee. The waiter that helped me with some skinny guy with purple or platinum or violet hair color and his English was fair. I wish I had taken a picture of the first receipt they gave us but I didn't. I only have a picture of the second receipt they brought back. We won't be going back!!! And I would not advise any foreigner to go there! read more

The food today was sad. Every shrimp on my plate was over cooked and dry. The only thing that wasn't over cooked was the aguachiles and that's cause those are bathed in lemon juice so it's cooked by the natural acids of the limes. I think today was a fluke because we have come three other times and ordered the exact dishes and the only dish that didn't disappoint was the raw shrimp. Now let's talk about the service. My son is 8, and he was feeling very I'll, we brought his vomit baggy in the case he needed to use it we also brought his water with his drops in it so he can maybe try to eat something while there. We were starving! It had been a long day in Tj and we got lost so many times trying to find the clinic that we were at the end of our patience meter, well these people didn't let me son in with his water, they forced us to leave it at the front desk, and I spoke to the server there, and explained the situation and they said it was because of consumption business, but we couldn't get him soda or anything else (it's Mexico water) so we had to swallow the food and then leave to get him something else and had him drink his water. This place can go copulate with itself. We will not be coming here EVER again, and we will not be recommending this place to our friends and community. They lost customers but also gained bad publicity all at once because I will make sure that anyone who mentions this place knows exactly what kind of establishment this is. read more

We had the camarones roca as appetizers (battered fried shrimp in a sweet sauce) I also had an aguachile flight (traditional, mango, tamarind, and salsa negra) as my main entree. Do not come here if you do not speak Spanish. They treated us terribly and the service was truly awful. The food was okay (not great). There are better places for seafood in Tijuana with better prices and better service (whether you speak Spanish or not). They sat us next to their silverware and plate cart. Twice, someone hit my husband with a plate (once quite hard) and never apologized or even acknowledged that they had hit him. We pointed to every dish we wanted on the menu. One thing never came and they also brought one thing that was the wrong dish. They even charged us for the wrong item!
