This is located on the right side as you head into the Popotla area in Rosarito. We ate in the casual booth area but there are other splices to eat in the building. Food was delicious, service was great!

Shrimp Diabla Style was fantastic! It was fresh, savory, and spicy. Came with a side salad, rice, corn tortillas, and a wonderful small cup of fish soup as a starter. The corn tortillas were "ok", but the dish didn't really need them anyways. We had chips, salsa and guacamole as a starter. Chips were fresh and crispy, salsa was perfect and guac was creamy and tasty. The fish taco was also very good. The place is clean and staff is friendly. Prices were good, but not a steal (example, Shrimp Diabla was $175 MP/$9.05 AD). I'd go back and try many other items, because based on the quality of what we had, seems like you can't go wrong here.

Food is good would come back. We are not seafood soup people but when we travel we like to try new things and it was actually good! Kinda pricey but it is a tourist spot so that explains that. Everything we tried is pretty good ! Don't skip this place.

Wanted to check out Popotla and see what all the hoopla was about- Turns out, its a quiet, sleepy little town that happens to serve up some of the freshest, most flavorful seafood in Baja. And very cold beers as well. We tried fish tacos, which were great both grilled and fried, Ceviche, made with Octopus and fish, super fresh and flavorful, and a few more specialties. Of all the little roadside shacks available this one is the most worthy.

Tasty Seafood, lots of different dishes. Perfect for a quick couple of fish or shrimp tacos and a cold beer.

He sang karaoke with us and treated us great the food was good but unfortunately I did not take a picture of my shrimp Diablo, but it was really good but extremely spicy. My wife had the steak and baked potatoes as you can see in the picture the baked potatoes are different from what we're used to in America but it was pretty good all in all this restaurant is good and convenient, especially if you're staying at the La Paloma the server Israel has great energy and he also recommended a cab service and places to go shopping and eat for our trip for that were thankful and we really enjoyed this place. It's just a small little restaurant on the property, but the food is great. Cooks are good. Service is great.

The service was excellent, I feel like they treated us quite special and it felt like a hometown spot where our friends work. The food was really good! We had the shrimp cocktail, which ended up being shrimp, ceviche, sliced avocados on top chips and crackers, and it was citrusy, very lightly spiced (my partner is a slice wimp!), and super fresh. We Paired that with the shrimp pasta, and that was surprisingly delicious as well. The pasta was cooked a bit al dente, which is how we like it, lots of shrimp, with a really nice marinara sauce. The marinara sauce would not heavy, so it complemented the shrimp in the pasta really well. For Beverages, Daniel made me a special margarita. I don't do tequila very well, so he made a strawberry margarita, light on the tequila, heavy on the grand mariner. It had a little Tajin on the rim, a sliced orange and it was refreshing and delicious. The prices are hotel expensive though. So we ended up spending $50. I do remember Mexico being a place where you can get inexpensive food, but I guess not here. I mean, we got one appetizer one meal and two beverages. But we would come here again, because we had a great time!

My boyfriend is a big fan of the late Anthony Bourdain so he was ecstatic. We bought our crab and lobsters from the fisherman and brought it here for the ladies to cook. The place is super ghetto fabulous like others have said, nothing fancy about the plastic chairs and the pig hanging out by your feet while you eat. However, one of the best seafood meals I've had in my life. Will definitely be back soon!

Besides being in the news for drugs and human smuggling, Popotla is known for their fresh, daily caught seafood. Mariscos La Guerita is a restaurant here. Made from leftover lumber and the blue vinyl tarp, this ghetto- fabulous eatery was visited by Anthony Bourdain. To find this place, just look for a banner that says "Antoni Bourdan visits Rosarito Popotla". It's a bit intimidating if you do not speak Spanish. First, purchase your seafood from the countless vendors on the beach. (Fish range from 20-50 pesos per kilo) Once you purchase the fish, take it to the fish cleaning station. They will clean your fish for a tip. ($1 a fish) Take the cleaned fish to La Guerita and they will cook it up to your liking for about 30 pesos a fish. They will provide you with rice, beans, tortillas and an assortment of hot sauces. While you wait, make sure to check out the other stalls for their Cóctel de Mariscos or have a few beers. There must be crack sauce in the oil. Pescado Frito and the fish tacos are among the best I've had. (My wife has tried many times to duplicate the flavor but never can.) Spider crab and the sea urchin not so much. In the winter months, look for the brown box crab. It is better than the Alaskan variety. If you are in Rosarito, Mariscos La Guerita and Popotla is a great alternative to Puerto Nuevo. (Lobster Village) Just make sure you don't need to go to the banos. (bathroom) If you do, it's 5 pesos and a tetanus shot.

I ordered the Shrimp Zareandado plate. Servings are large and food was very tasty. I had a lot of leftovers to take home. Only issue I had was that red onions they place under the shrimp had too much habanero and was way too spicy for me. I love spicy but it was overkill. So next time I will request plain red onions. Otherwise my food was delicious. Review 5/31 We stopped in to grab a quick bite before heading home and like always food and service was great. We were seated immediately. My boyfriend and I wanted a nice dinner, and I looked up on Yelp and found this place! (YAS MEXICO YELP- COME THRU!) as soon as we got there, we were instantly greeted with a warm welcome. Our servers, were absolutely amazing. They knew some English, although my boyfriend is fluent, I appreciate they tried hard for me! lol :) Food: 5/5 My boyfriends and I ordered drinks, which included a mango margarita, a whiskey, and a lemonade. The drinks were seriously phenomenal! Perfect amount of sweet and alcohol! Then we ordered the food. They're a steak house, so I had to go with the steak tacos. It was amazing! The steak was so tender and seasoned to perfection. However, Our table side chili was the star of the show. My boyfriend even ordered 2 rounds, and we ate it the next day! I should've bought that stuff by the pint lol All around experience/pricing: 5/5 Zero cons, my experience here was nothing short of amazing, and we cannot wait to come back for more! The cost was also reasonable for what we received. $1,125 pesos, and $59 USD. Some may think it's a bit high for Mexico, but in LA it would've easily cost 100.
