Our servers, were absolutely amazing. They knew some English, although my boyfriend is fluent, I appreciate they tried hard for me! lol :) Food: 5/5 My boyfriends and I ordered drinks, which included a mango margarita, a whiskey, and a lemonade. The drinks were seriously phenomenal! Perfect amount of sweet and alcohol! Then we ordered the food. They're a steak house, so I had to go with the steak tacos. It was amazing! The steak was so tender and seasoned to perfection. However, Our table side chili was the star of the show. My boyfriend even ordered 2 rounds, and we ate it the next day! I should've bought that stuff by the pint lol All around experience/pricing: 5/5 Zero cons, my experience here was nothing short of amazing, and we cannot wait to come back for more! My recent experience was good! I had the grilled chicken plate and it came with soup and salad. The salad was okay. I wish the would have offered other dressings, mine had thousand island. First time, my husband had a Porterhouse and I had a Filet Mignon. Both were perfectly cooked. Second time, we took a friend for a birthday lunch. I had their Mexican Combo #3 - a chili relleno, enchilada, carne asada steak, guacamole, and potatoes. Yummy. My husband ordered their Cheeseburger and Fries. He said it was the best burger he's ever had. Their meats are off the charts fantastic. They are owned by a family that has other restaurants and their own ranch. So, they harvest their own beef. Do yourself a favor, and go to Tapanco's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You'll thank me later. Also, their rustic, western decor and waterfall fountain are very inviting. Was excited to try this place on our trip here. We were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and showed us the restaurant from the two seating areas, to where they have the wood they cook with etc. First impression was really cozy vibes everyone was helpful and we were allowed to pick where to sit. We ordered chorizo with cheese appetizer which was filling already because they give you handmade flour tortillas. I got the T bone steak and my boyfriend got the Camaron plate. They bring out a plate with a salad with different dressings, and toppings. Downside: I expected more of a presentation with my steak. The decor is very unique and seating is both outside and inside. Clean bathroom. We've been here twice. Once for breakfast and once lunch. Food and drink are great and you cant beat the current value for the peso/dollar. Very affordable even with adult drinks. Parking is plentiful on the street and attendant will help you park and pull out of your space. Traffic is kinda heavy from highway. If you want to get away from the usual party atmosphere of Rosarito, this is a nice place to eat with your family. P.S. Will recommend the steaks or shrimp enchiladas. The food here is exceptional. Today I had by far the best Chilaquiles I've ever had. My friend had the beef tacos, which were amazing and everything is made fresh in house pretty much while you watch. The service is also very good. The weight staff are amazing checking just enough to make sure you have everything you need. Tapanco sort of organically became one of our go-to spots for dinner. Whenever we can't figure out what we all want to eat, we end up here. The reason? It's delicious, of course! We typically all get steaks which run only about $20 or less. The Filet comes wrapped in bacon so... that's an obvious win.
