The pacing of the food was well calculated and the bottle of magoni, Cabernet- Malbec from one of our favorite wineries fave it a special touch. Price is worth it! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every detail of our evening was perfect -- going above and beyond without ever feeling intrusive. As for the food? Simply outstanding. Every dish was prepared to perfection, from the tender, flavorful cuts of meat to the perfectly balanced sides and appetizers. You can taste the quality and the passion behind every bite. The flavors were bold yet refined, and the presentation was just as impressive. Palominos Steakhouse has a great atmosphere--warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed dinner. The steaks were excellent, cooked beautifully, and truly high quality. The side dishes also offered a nice variety, and the wine list had plenty of good options to choose from. However, the service fell a bit short during my visit. Some of the side dishes arrived after the main course, and the soup wasn't warm when it came out. These details kept the experience from being perfect, which is why I rated it four stars instead of five. Overall, still a great place for a good steak and a pleasant evening. read more

Very nice setting, we had dinner a few nights ago with some friends. We ordered Queso Asado, Queso Fundido with Chistorra, Chiles Toreados, Caldo de Queso and a Parrillada with Arrachera and Cabreria.. Everything was very good, the Wine prices are appropriate and our server seemed sincerely happy to be there, had a couple of good suggestions for us and was on top of things all the time. It was important for me to try something different. So, I opted for the Esmeralda Shrimp that comes in a piping hot molcajete bowl. Surprisingly, the manager tried to discourage me from ordering this item. Maybe he knew more than me (read below). In spite of this advice, I stuck to my guns. The Shrimp is doused in a cilantro salsa verde with au gratin potato peel. Essentially, thin deep fried string potatoes. Also came with breaded cheese rolls (2 of them) sticking out of the bowl. The dish was overpowered by the excess of cilantro salsa (that had too much lime). For texture, there was too much cheese around and it took away the spotlight from the main attraction, the small shrimp (which were cooked well). I now realized that I had ordered the wrong dish. Oh well. Service was attentive and good.
