It was important for me to try something different. So, I opted for the Esmeralda Shrimp that comes in a piping hot molcajete bowl. The Shrimp is doused in a cilantro salsa verde with au gratin potato peel. Essentially, thin deep fried string potatoes. Also came with breaded cheese rolls (2 of them) sticking out of the bowl. The dish was overpowered by the excess of cilantro salsa (that had too much lime). For texture, there was too much cheese around and it took away the spotlight from the main attraction, the small shrimp (which were cooked well). I now realized that I had ordered the wrong dish. For starters they brought us a small cup of carne en su jugo broth along with house made corn chips, beans and a to die for spicy salsa :) Beverage : cold press green juice and it was also delicious!

The service is the best, it matters not if you don't speak Spanish, they got you. And besides the menu is very clear and you can just point to what you want. Inside is so pretty with lovely art painted on the walls. They usually include the tip in the bill so check for that. The staff is all very nice and they are fast. They know the menu and can help you. They even sell cakes and other baked goods. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of it is great. If you want American breakfast they have that, but even better is their selection of Mexican style breakfast. Their machaca is great. We love their carna asada with eggs and their combination plates for breakfast are the best. They even have a kids menu. The prices are fair and dollars are always welcome, or just use your credit card. All of their dinner courses are great. They have fantastic tacos, burritos and steaks and some great seafood. Parking is free. You have to go here.

Man, was this place delicious!…read more We were staying across the street and noticed this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Everything was extremely flavorful, especially the chicharrones they bring that are smothered in a red tomato sauce! I tried the menudo dish, which was super delicious and it definitely hit the spot! I also tried the chilaquiles that came accompanied with potatoes. We got the spiciest they have, and boy were they good! Not just spicy but well balanced! The server and manager were both very attentive and friendly. We were able to pay with our debit cards!
