For starters they brought us a small cup of carne en su jugo broth along with house made corn chips, beans and a to die for spicy salsa :) Beverage : cold press green juice and it was also delicious!

The other two in my party shared a steak, which our server was super gracious and accommodating about, even offering to split it in the kitchen and present it on two plates instead of making us cut it in half on arrival. Love that. They've got lots of wine options and the bartenders know their stuff. Don't skip out on this really amazing spot to grab a steak!

But when the bill came, we noticed he charged us for the leftover salsa that he originally said was complimentary! It wasn't about the money, but the principle. We asked him to remove the charge and told him to forget the salsa. The manager noticed what happened, took care of the charge, and even packed the salsa with our leftovers. The server, however, never returned to the table after that. The ambiance and cleanliness were fine, but overall, the experience left a bad taste. VERDICT: I will not be coming back.

Both the mocktails and the cocktails were delightfully tasty. Our waiter Fernando was exceptional, going as far as to bring us the various cuts of meat when we have questions about what to order. The meat! The meat! The best steak my wife and I have had I'm recent memory! She had the Bite de Lomo. I had the arrechera. We both couldn't have been happier with our choice. We're already talking about making a trip down from San Diego to have dinner here!

We didn't get a drink menu so we just kinda asked what they offer and opted for sangria. They have a kids room with an attendant which was pretty cool. It's the only reason my kids want to go back. The ambiance is decent. Not too loud, TVs around gave it a bar feel a bit. I wasn't expecting that. I believe the place is priced a little more on the higher side for what they offer. It didn't meet my expectations in food or service. I think it would be helpful to keep a better eye on buffet food. Wilted salads are not a good look. Provide more communication on what is offered for protein in this case. I don't go to Tijuana too often but when I do, I try a new restaurant. Stay tune for the next one.

We walked in, and we were sat on the first floor. I ordered steak, medium, as did the girlfriend. Our sides were garden salad, and cheese fondue. I ordered some coffee and lemonade on mineral water, which were both okay. Our dessert was an order of empanadas. I liked the beef empanadas the best, followed by the ones with cheese. Personally, I prefer the parillada over the individual steak plate, but both hit the spot well. This is a decent Argentinian grill in the city of Rosarito. Come check them out.

The fire pit- asador is in the clear view, watching the grill master was an added treat to the dining. The asado tradicional is meant for two but there was plenty of food that finishes cooking at table side. Our extras included a baked potato, green salad, a beef empanada and a chorioan. The pacing of the food was well calculated and the bottle of magoni, Cabernet- Malbec from one of our favorite wineries fave it a special touch. Price is worth it! We will schedule another stop in our return

I am from Argentina, and have happened to be in Tijuana; I was craving my food, and walking distance from the hotel I was staying (Hyatt) found this gem. When you come to the place, it looks so gorgeous, and you get to the door, and you're already treated like royalty. I go to eat every single day to restaurants; I've never been treated this warmly, respectfully and professionally like at Origen Argentino. But that's just the beginning. Then, the OWNER of the restaurant comes... how many restaurants you go to, and the owner comes to your table, cares for what would be the best meal you could have and starts a conversation with you? I'd say out of 100, NONE, maybe 1 would do that. Ok, then the food. These words would not be enough to describe not only the quality... THE FLAVOR of it!! All the waiters, busboys and managers are TRAINED!! they're all awesome! The ambience of the place... the quality of all their meals... the care and attention from the owner... I can't think of another restaurant that has all that. Even though I live in Los Angeles, I can't wait to go back to this restaurant and have a great time. By the way; I forgot to mention one of the best parts of the whole experience. The owner comes to my table and (knowing I'm from Argentina too) asks me "Don't look at the menu. What is your favorite dish?" I told him (which is called "Locro". He went ahead and made me my favorite dish!!!! Where in the world you get that??? Que hallazgo !! Desde que cruzamos el marco de la puerta fuimos recibidos amablemente por Gustavo, el gerente y de manera genuinamente amable nos llevo a nuestra mesa, que ya nos esperaba. Empezamos con unos Vodkas para abrir, mientras las dos botellas de vino que lleve, se oxigenaban y alcanzaban la temperatura adecuada. Les dimos carta abierta a las sugerencias y realmente todo lo que nos mandaron estuvo excelente; Entraña, Bife, Costillas, Queso asado, etc, etc, etc. Juan Carlos el dueño paso un par de veces a nuestra mesa a sugerir y preguntar como estaba todo, y en realidad fue una muy grata experiencia, ya estamos contando los días para regresar. The entrance, the dim lighting, the immaculate polished wood tables and upbeat music, elegant decor, and the chandeliers, all added to the inviting warm ambiance. So the stage was set and my evening began with the complementary chips (very unique, thick, crispy with a charred taste), beans and salsa rojo. A good start. It was important for me to try something different. So, I opted for the Esmeralda Shrimp that comes in a piping hot molcajete bowl. Surprisingly, the manager tried to discourage me from ordering this item. Maybe he knew more than me (read below). In spite of this advice, I stuck to my guns. The Shrimp is doused in a cilantro salsa verde with au gratin potato peel. Essentially, thin deep fried string potatoes. Also came with breaded cheese rolls (2 of them) sticking out of the bowl. The dish was overpowered by the excess of cilantro salsa (that had too much lime). For texture, there was too much cheese around and it took away the spotlight from the main attraction, the small shrimp (which were cooked well). I now realized that I had ordered the wrong dish. Oh well. Service was attentive and good.
