No no its not a go!!! warm welcoming but It wasn't enough for me. We went to eat some protein! We kept having to flag down a waiter or one of the people handling the meat carvings. The selection of meat was very basic. I def should have checked on that before considering going. We kept getting offered sausage, tripe and burnt chicken. All those meats were over cooked for my liking. We also got picana and asked for filet mignon asked for medium, came out ok but burnt edges. It made it hard to eat. The carving portions were small kinda annoying to have to constantly wait or flag down a server for more. The meat was bland not even a little salt and pepper. Just not it. The buffet part was def not up to parr either. The salads look unappetizing, old. Same goes with all or most of the dishes that were offered. Ceviche, pastas, meat dishes. The kid friendly options were ok but even my kids didn't approve the pasta. We also had sangria which was ok, tasted more like a sour sparkling water. We didn't get a drink menu so we just kinda asked what they offer and opted for sangria. They have a kids room with an attendant which was pretty cool. It's the only reason my kids want to go back. The ambiance is decent. Not too loud, TVs around gave it a bar feel a bit. I wasn't expecting that. I believe the place is priced a little more on the higher side for what they offer. It didn't meet my expectations in food or service. I think it would be helpful to keep a better eye on buffet food. Wilted salads are not a good look. Provide more communication on what is offered for protein in this case. I don't go to Tijuana too often but when I do, I try a new restaurant. Stay tune for the next one. read more

One of my absolute favorite places to visit every time I'm in TJ!!!! The meat there is not even comparable to any of the places here in the United States. They have much more open food selection with much wider variety either Mexican or regular American style food. They will literally always at all times be passing by with meat, you would literally get sick of it and just have to turn the sign off (even then they still come with meat lol) The service is absolutely top notch and they made sure that we have everything we needed! Even come by all the time to see if there's any meat we would like to request so they could bring it for us!!!! That's just never happened with us before!!!!!!! We had a birthday there, and I tell you they really know how to do a celebration right, you will get the very much loud and fun birthday shoutout. Also they will make you chug a shot and shake your head like they do over there. It was so special and to be remembered. Parking structure is small there, but they do have valet and they'll take care of it for you. (I believe it's only valet parking there, I could be wrong. But we got the valet parking) Price can't be beat for the quality and amount of food. Absolute steal. 2 people on a weekend with a birthday celebration and couple soft drinks and water came to be about $80ish-$90. Which if you know how much Brazilian steakhouses in the US cost, you'd know how good of a deal that is!!!!!!!! Overall, it really sucks that this place is far away, otherwise I'd have been there every weekend :) But it is a stable to go to every time I'm in Mexico. read more

Love this place, food, ambiance, prices, vibes, drinks, music, all great & 4.5 stars worthy but I gave them 5 stars because of their excellent customer service. One thing I like about coming to TJ restaurants is the great customer service, they always try their best & work with pride. To give an example of how it works here I'll compare it to Foga De Choa in San Diego. They come around & bring you different types of meat with a Latino flavor of course. Before you eat the meats hit up the buffet, they have great options of pasta, soups, salads, Mariscos. The desert buffet was Amazing, almost got diabetes I ate so much of it haha. So make sure to leave room for desert & take your metformin & insulin before you come :) They have a nice bar too with very good drinks. They also have a play area for kids with staff watching the kids so you can enjoy your meal when your kids are getting restless you can just take them there. Also they have real nice restrooms that's a plus for me. I liked all the meats especially the chicken they had, some of my fav items from the buffet were the shrimp Aguachiles, fruit salads & they had & good posole & churros & I was a big fan of their spaghetti. Pork Chile Verde was a winner for me as was the pizza. And the price you pay here is great compared to what you pay in the states so don't be a cheap ass & make sure to tip good, they've earned it because the customer service here is always on point. I love Brazilian Steakhouse's. My friend recommended this place so we decided to meet for dinner. First off this place feels very cramped inside. They packed in the tables and there wasn't much room it felt like. The meats were fine, but nothing really special. My son loved their mustard chicken and of course the pineapple. The hot/cold bar had an OK amount of choices, but nothing that was amazing and the hot foods didn't really stay hot. We also never saw an Brazilian cheese bread which bummed me out. There was ample parking and service was good. I just think for the price there are other restaurants that do it better. read more

We went to Mr Pampas Otay location for my son's birthday. I've had better food at other AYCE Brazilian steak houses. The price was reasonable, about $25 for adults and half price for kids. I didn't like the food from the buffet area. The desserts were ok. They brought ice cream to our table and we thought they were a part of AYCE but apparently it's an additional charge. My ice cream with a splash of Baileys was about $12. Also, I told the waiter that we were there to celebrate my son's birthday. They brought out a cheesecake for him and that was an additional charge that we didn't know about. Just be aware of additional charges. read more

I would give them a negative star if possible. I will never go back to this place again. My coworkers and I went to enjoy a nice dinner and we were having a great time but when it came time to order wine it all went down hill. First, the waiter did not mention to us we had to scan the QR code to review the wine list and prices. Second, the manager came over to offer us two of the most expensive wine bottles and we selected one. Little did we know that both of the options that had been offered to us were $280 each bottle... option one was $280 and option two was also $280!!!!! This was Ridiculous!!!!! With Brazilian steakhouses costing upwards of $65 USD in SD pre tax and tip, the prospect of paying $20 seemed like a holy grail. It was popping on a Monday evening. The waiters bringing out meats were in full force. The salad bar was stacked. And the dining room was lively with fellow hungry patrons. So there were some stark differences from the experience stateside: - the meat cuts themselves. in addition to classics pichana, there were Mexican inspired options like adobada pichana and spicy shrimp. tasty! - each server had 2-3 meats. Practice your Spanish to understand what you're being served and request your desired choice That said, it was delicious with an undeniable value prop. Grand carnivore buffet is what describes this Brazilian themed restaurant in Tijuana. Very lavish spread of salad , pastas and sushi. And must have grilled meat of all different types with variety of seasonings. Of course not to forget their extensive range of desserts and pastries. We had to use the valet parking which double parked the cars so they could fit. We waited about 40 minutes before we were seated. The drinks we had were amazing, and the service was pretty good, except that we had to finally ask for picanha before they finally brought it out at the end. The salad bar and hot bar was fair. I've had much better at other branches of the same chain and that other Brazilian style restaurants. The problem was you could barely move because it was so crowded. But I did not like at all was they had large screen TVs everywhere like a sports bar. I felt that really detracted from the beautiful decor. And they were all so loud so we could not hear each other to have a conversation. Between that and the congas which would occasionally start up to wish someone a happy birthday, I felt like my senses were being assaulted the whole time I was there. This is not a romantic date restaurant for sure, nor would I consider it family friendly. It's a glorified sports bar that offers all you can eat meat. As far as authenticity, I've been to Brazil many times, and this had a couple of things that were authentic but most were not. If you want to eat meat yes you will get full. But you will need to insist on them bringing the cuts you want, otherwise they'll keep bringing the chicken and lesser quality cuts of meat. As I expected, they did include guacamole, pico de gallo, and hot sauce for the Mexican clientele. You won't find that in Brazil, however it is essential in Mexico. I would not choose to return to this location because I am not a fan of sports bars. I have been to other locations of the same chain in the past and they were not like this. I hope the sports bar thing is not being applied to other locations because it ruined it for me. read more

So many options. There is about 30 different meat cuts, various steaks, pork, chicken, duck, as well as wings, octopus, shrimp and tripas. Some of the cuts are seasoned and spicy, where you can't taste the meat as much, but others are lightly seasoned and you can taste the cut of meat. I appreciated both. The buffet offers various side options, bread, fruits, pastas, pizza, vegetables, corn, soup and so much more. There is also plenty of desserts such as cookies, brownie, churros, and ice cream. I went on a Saturday and there was live music! All for the low price of just over $20-25, I'm not exactly sure, but it's a great deal. Will definitely be recommending this place to others. read more

Wow just an unbelievable experience I had today at pampas for some delicious meat. We got seated very fast for a party of 7 people and we had a sign to ask for more meat and stop sign for no more meat. They had so many delicious options for side items. They made sure food was fresh and had employees going around every 15 minutes checking their quality of food. Our server did a fantastic job making sure we got the right meat on the table and enjoyed their desserts. Highly recommend this spot. Not pricey compared to San Diego and I would even say better quality. They had really nice music and it was very fancy tonight. read more

My second time here at this location but first time for dinner. Lots of great choices and the meat menu is vast but you have to look up the available meats and request the ones you want. They rotate the same 5-6 meats but if you want the higher quality like the tomahawk steak you've got to request for it. Picanha is yummy so is the arracherra. The tomahawk is delicious and so are the tiny chicken wings. I got full quick! Note they walk around with ice cream later on it's not included haha. Do not! I repeat do not step foot into this establishment! I regret coming here. Went in for dinner with my whole family of 12 and my daughter of 3. Worst time ever! I really don't think in Mexico they keep track of temperatures so my guess is that the buffet part had been sitting there all day without being rotated. I got the worst food posing with fever, body chills and you can imagine the rest.... Save your money and bring your own meals or just don't eat out. Came here with another couple. We had taken a taxi once we crossed the border and arrived here on a Saturday night. Surprisingly it was plenty busy and I managed to get us in using the Spanish I remember. Truth be told - it was quite horrible as I knew the numbers but due to not being able to converse as much, my Spanish was VERY rusty. "Cuatro" for four. We were told a 20-25 minute wait, and with the crowd of people outside, it was a bit uncertain if we would get in. After a while, I heard my name being called along with "cuatro" - we got seated at a table for five...but they removed he chair later so we never found out if it might have been that I misheard even though I am pretty certain I heard them call my name. We were instructed to turn the wheel to green - if we wanted to have whatever was going around and spin it to red if we were not going to order any more for a while. This place definitely earns its name for Brazilian BBQ for all the meat that was going around. Each time a waiter would be scraping a piece or two off. Giant chunks at time or medium sized ones. The only thing was that we didn't know what we were eating majority of the time. They also had a huge salad bar in which you could grab whatever you like. So much food for all you could eat. They occasionally also walked around with specialties - shots of Patrón, shots of some sort of hard liquor and their delicious desserts which I had to get seconds. Overall we had a lovely time and the waiters were nice to us even through our limited ability to converse in Spanish. The only thing I would suggest in brushing up on the Spanish for asking how long it would take, and the number of people going as well as asking for the check. Would definitely want to come back again, but maybe in a year as that was a large amount of meat that we took in. We were all stuffed to the brim. read more

The food was good but just be aware when they bring around things and ask you if you would like some thing it's going to be added to your bill it's a Buffay so I assumed that everything was included. I was very wrong when we got the bill, so just ask questions before excepting some thing from a waiter, the meat and the salad bar was very good and we enjoyed it. We got a few extra things as people walked around, thinking that it was part of the Buffay when in fact, they added these things to the bill. I've always been a fan of churrascarias, Brazilian steakhouses. When I was visiting someone in Tijuana on a weekend excursion, I was recommended to come to this place. So on a Saturday evening, we came here to have some great food. There were quite a lot of people here, but since we were a party of two, the wait was minimal. After putting my name down, we waited for about ten minutes before we got our table. Once we sat down, we ordered some bottled water and a jug of sangria. The sangria had fruit pieces swimming inside, which was pretty cool. It was delicious, and got my buzz going. We went to the salad bar to get some salad and rice, then came back to the table to begin the feast. The meat was delicious! I cannot speak about the pork, as I do not eat it. However, the beef and chicken variations were good! My favorite was, of course, filet mignon. After having several rounds of meat, we decided on some dessert. While the cheesecake was so-so, the other cake and sweet bread options were decent. The staff here was very friendly the entire time, and made sure we were taken cared of.
