Open fire grill and you can smell it down the street.

We make sure to stop by every time we visit Rosarito. The tacos are flavorful, open-fire grilled meat packed into tortillas that don't fall apart, even with the generous portions. The outdoor setup is clean, casual, and well-managed. There's a mix of shaded and sunny spots, with both standing and sitting tables. It's located on a corner with good foot and car traffic, and even though parking is limited, we always manage to find street parking nearby. The staff is professional, bilingual, and super attentive to keeping things organized and clean. Ordering is easy: tell the chef what you want, then pay in a second line. Signs are posted all over in both English and Spanish, which makes it very visitor friendly. They accept cash only (USD or pesos), and drinks are simple canned sodas and bottled juices. They only have carne asada tacos, which are the best. This place has us braving the border wait ... TLDR: If you're in Rosarito, this is the taco spot you don't want to miss. It's always worth the stop!

On vacation and first time visiting Rosarito and Tacos El Yaqui was top of our list to visit! It did not disappoint at all service is efficient and food is delicious! Home made flour tortillas were amazing and make me feel like I'm at home. The restaurant is outdoors but the ocean breeze and good food make for a perfect place to eat.

I really liked the tacos but the line to order was off putting . Took 40 mins to order and I was hot and tired and over it by the time I got to the front Enjoyed the food , definitely good tacos but not worth the wait

We drove straight here after landing a the Tijuana airport. The line was very long and moved very slowly. The only good thing is that you get your food when you order. It takes long when you have a couple that takes 20 tacos to-go for others. We all ordered their "Perron." It came with skirt steak, beans, cheese, onions, cilantro, salsa and guacamole all inside a big flour tortilla. These tacos are massive. Even if you have a big appetite, two is more than enough. I had planned on eating a bigger meal after this little "snack" so we all ordered one taco each. The arrachera was very good. Very tender and went perfectly with the beans and the guac. Although I'm hesitant in actually calling this a taco. I guess we can get into the whole is a hot dog a sandwich debate, but this Perron has melted cheese, so is it a quesadilla? It honestly taste more like a burrito, but just open. Regardless of what it actually, it's bomb and definitely worth the wait. Next time I'll get two for sure.

Hard to find parking, but totally worth it. There was a little line when we got here but it went quick. The smell of the wood fire is amazing. This is like the In n Out of tacos. They have three options: meat n cheese, meat only or cheese only. Tacos are served on flour tortillas with onion, cilantro and guacamole. This was a great find and we will be back for sure.

They close at 5 pm! That's all you need to know! Just go and eat! It's spectacular! Amazing flavor, great service super nice staff. Enjoyed the picnic vibes outside with open area sitting. The smell when you jump out the car is so infectious!

Still cooking it up on wood chips - fresh!!

There may be a line when you arrive but it's worth the wait. "Tacos" filled with meat, cheese, beans, salsa & cilantro on a flour tortilla - that's what my grandma use to call a taco! They will make it the way you want it - on the spot. They have a few other items on their menu, but I have yet to taste any other menu items. I go for the tacos. ‍ It's the best outdoor taco place in Rosarito, Baja Mx . It was my friends first time there and they loved it!

I was sadly underwhelmed by these tacos after waiting in line for an hour. The fillings are decent, but there is nothing special about these tacos, especially in comparison to the street tacos in LA. The beef and grilled jalapenos are cooked well and the salsa is good. The space is outdoors with plenty of sit down and stand up tables. A singer/guitarist played in the middle of the restaurant while other food and souvenir vendors circled the line. Be prepared to wait for at least an hour if not longer and stand in the sun until you're towards the front.

We are in a long line

There's only 3 things on the menu and the tacos are amazing! The arrachera was soft tender and amazing taste! Homemade flour tortilla melts in your mouth!

Was in Rosarito for the weekend stopped by El Yaqui 7/28. Line was 20 minutes, seems like the place has gotten more popular over the years. Tacos are still delicious, all my friends loved them. Even though it was busy they still had some standing only tables available. Cash only establishment and they don't sell beers. Only sodas and locally made refreshments.

Absolutely delicious. The height and excitement for this place is well-deserved. I will definitely return when I am in town.
